00:00Suns fans, welcome back. Let's break down everything that unfolded in a tense and
00:05controversial Game 2, where the officiating became just as much of a talking point as the action on
00:10the floor. Suns star Devin Booker blasted NBA officiating following Phoenix's Game 2 loss
00:16against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. Booker criticized NBA official James Williams
00:21officiating in the game, saying that he called a terrible game. It's definitely something that
00:26has to be looked at. I heard, Alex, Caruso, tell them, to call the tech, and he ended up doing
00:33it.
00:33In my 11 years, I haven't called a ref out by name, but James Williams, was terrible tonight,
00:39through and through, Booker said. It's bad for the sport. Bad for the integrity of the sport.
00:45People are going to start viewing this as the WWE if they're not held responsible.
00:49One of the calls Booker was heavily critical of postgame came in the third quarter.
00:53Booker was fouled by Jalen Williams, while going out of bounds in an attempt to save the ball,
00:59which partially struck Williams, as the whistle blew, as Booker was heading to the free-throw
01:04line because the Thunder were over the foul limit. Officials discussed the action and gave Booker a
01:10technical foul. The decision confused Suns players and even ESPN commentators Dave Pash and Doris Burke.
01:17Booker said postgame, he hadn't gotten an explanation for the tech. Head coach, Jordnut said,
01:22Postgame he also didn't get an explanation for the call. Booker finished the game with 22 points
01:28on 7 of 14 shooting, along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss. However, Booker had 6 of
01:34the Suns' 22 turnovers during the game. Dylan Brooks gets chippy with Team Canada teammates in
01:40Game 2. Booker wasn't the only player to receive a technical foul during Wednesday's game. Dylan Brooks,
01:46and former Sun Devil, Lugans Dort, each received technical fouls following an exchange after a
01:52Chet Holmgren free-throw made it 75-63. Thunder Brooks, a teammate of Dort and Shea Gilgis-Alexander,
01:59on Canada's men's national basketball team, made contact with Dort while trying to get the ball
02:04and put it into play. Play was paused briefly as officials assessed offsetting technical fouls on
02:09both players. Brooks, who led the Suns, with 30 points in Wednesday's loss, received 17 technical
02:15fouls during the regular season, and was suspended for one game in February after receiving his 16th
02:20technical foul. Dort wasn't the only Canadian teammate of Brooks that he went back and forth
02:25with in Wednesday's game. Gilgis-Alexander pointed at Brooks after making a jump shot over him in the
02:30second quarter. Gilgis-Alexander led the Thunder with 37 points, following the loss. The Suns, now down
02:360-2 in the first-round playoff series, returned to Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix for Game 3 on
02:42Saturday. Tip-off is at 12.30pm. So, Suns faithful, after everything we just saw, from the heated
02:48exchanges, to the calls that left the team searching for answers, where do you stand? Should officials be
02:55held publicly accountable when performances like this shape a playoff game?
