06:18Gracias, Tony.
06:20Sí, gracias, Jack, gracias a Tony Abelino.
06:22Unfortunately, this rainfall that is starting to hit this part of Eastern Germany might
06:28have a big part to play in these proceedings.
06:30As we just mentioned, no time set yesterday for Paul Enea Bastiini, and last night Lewis,
06:35the team at Red Bull KTM Tech 3, confirming the news that we all kind of feared Enea missing
06:41now for the whole of this German Grand Prix due to appendicitis.
06:45Yeah, he's been under the weather for most of the week as Enea, suffering from a pretty
06:48high fever, of course, went to get some further answers as to why he was feeling so poorly,
06:55and the answer, as you say, was appendicitis, so they gave him every chance, and apparently
07:01by all the cameras he was starting to feel a little bit better yesterday, but quite low
07:04on energy, if nothing else, and of course, having not even travelled here yet, and then getting
07:09on board one of these motorcycles around a circuit where you're constantly manoeuvring
07:13the bike largely left, but also a couple of rights to throw in if you're slightly low on energy
07:18and have been suffering from a fever and appendicitis all week, not the ideal scenario to be throwing
07:24your leg over one of these motorcycles in some pretty iffy conditions, so Enea Bastiini out of
07:29this weekend, we hope against hope that he'll be back in time for Bruno, which of course comes next
07:33weekend.
07:34Yeah, not the Friday that the Beast was hoping for at the Saxon Ring, it was certainly the Friday
07:38that Fabio Gianantonio was hoping for, boy was he on song yesterday, that one 19.071 right at the back
07:46end of that practice session was right out of the top draw, awesome time, he said awesome feeling on
07:52the bike, but he was at pains to remind the media and himself, it's only Friday, let's try and keep
07:58our
07:59feet firmly on terra firma, so the plan was always to chase Marc Marquez, he did do that to hot
08:06lap
08:06behind the king of the ring, but like he said, if you want to learn from the best you have
08:11to
08:12follow and learn from the best around the Saxon Ring, that's exactly what he did, you can see there the
08:17range is starting to fall heavier as we took a little bit of a peek outside the factory Yamaha garage.
08:23From an entertainment point of view that might be the best thing that could happen for this session because
08:26we were in those sort of half and half conditions where it's too dry for the wets, too wet for
08:32the
08:32slicks as Fabio Quattararo demonstrates his incredible braking prowess, which is part of the reason why
08:38he's getting so much pace out of that Yamaha, but boy did he provide an entertaining spectacle yesterday,
08:43braking from 300 kilometers an hour down to 75, with the rear wheel skipping through the air as he did
08:51it,
08:51Quattararo took fourth place in the end yesterday, which he did admit papered over some of the cracks,
08:56he does feel over longer distance, some of those Yamaha problems do persist, but once again he proves
09:00that he could certainly get a lap time over one lap out of this M1. He has done that of
09:05late in
09:05spectacular fashion, in record-breaking fashion, four of our last six pole positions have gone the way of
09:12the Frenchman, in fact we're coming the halfway point of this year's MotoGP World Championship,
09:16Army Round 11, we've actually only had two riders that qualify on pole so far this season,
09:22six Tissot watches to Marc Marquez, including the first four poles of the campaign in Thailand,
09:28Argentina, Austin and Qatar, and Fabio Quattararo as you mentioned, four of the last six.
09:35Pekka Banyai is a fan star to protect themselves from the elements once again,
09:40I mean we're always expecting rain to potentially disrupt proceedings here today,
09:45the good news is let's look at the glass half-full weather-wise, we are expecting hopefully a dry
09:50race day here tomorrow for Round 11 in the Grand Prix of Germany.
09:55Pekka Banyai is extremely dark, it's got a lot darker over the last
10:0010 or 15 minutes, and just looking at the direction the clouds are going across from us,
10:04but the rain's going to hit from around the final sector turns 12 and 13, that's the direction that the
10:10rain and the clouds aren't coming from, and it looks like the clouds are bringing plenty of rain with
10:14them. Well this was the second of two spills that came the way of Fermin Aldeguer yesterday,
10:21a little bit angry with himself, he was kicking himself when he spoke to media last night saying
10:24both of those crashes were avoidable, he feels like the consolation prize is that when he's upright and
10:31in terms of his race pace he's in the mix, he's in contention, the damage done though from those
10:37two crashes means that Aldeguer is going to have to come through at Q1, he found himself 16th at the
10:44end of play yesterday, just one of a bunch of riders including Agoura, Ralf Fernandes,
10:50Mia, Oliveira, Mourinho and Renta Salvadori who did not find laps in the 119s yesterday,
10:56and Fermin Aldeguer who's been a pretty frequent visitor to Q2, in fact he has not
11:03been outside of Q2 since round two in Argentina, so expect to see him playing of a very very strong
11:09fight for one of those top two places in Q1 up shortly. It has come through Q1 in the last
11:14two
11:15Grand Prix's has the 54, although a very different Q1 looks like it's going to await Fermin Aldeguer than
11:20in the last couple as the rain drops now start to lash against our commentary box window, it's not
11:27just the fact that it's raining but it is now starting to rain very heavily and this right here
11:30was an area where the MotoGP riders, if they were watching Moto2 moments ago, would be taking some
11:36serious caution, Colin Fire and in pretty dramatic fashion Jake Dixon who was fastest at the point in
11:41Moto2 when he crashed, both went down coming to the Ralf-Orban curve of turn 11. Marco Becsecchi,
11:47yesterday in the dry, crashed right here, the climb back up the hill through Queckenberg turn 13,
11:54to be fair to Bez, it didn't really knock him out of his drive too much, he was inside the
11:58top three
11:59for much of yesterday's practice session, at the checker flag he was seven fastest on the factory
12:04Aprilia team, just a quick reminder if you're joining for the first time this weekend, Aprilia for just
12:10the second time in 2025 expecting to be back to full strength at our next Grand Prix in Bruneau next
12:17weekend, the good news, our world champion Jorge Martin plotting a return to the RSGP next week,
12:23in many respects I mean as good as Fabio the Gian Antonio was to produce that utterly brilliant
12:29all-time lap record yesterday, Alex Marquez was sensational as well wasn't he, second fast, briefly led
12:36that practice session, in a little bit of discomfort, that is Alex, well Mar Marquez and the reps of
12:42Honda was pretty handy wasn't he, a round at the Saxon Ring, eight times a winner in Madder GP,
12:49on board the Honda machine, can this weekend be the time for him to take his first Saxon Ring success
12:56on board of Ducati, while slightly playing his cards close to his shift yesterday was Mar Marquez,
13:04he only did the one-time attack at the end of practice yesterday, of course Fabio Gian Antonio did a
13:09second and went ahead of Mar Marquez, went out behind him at the end of the session which he initially
13:13did as a strategy to try and follow Mar and see what the king of the Saxon Ring was able
13:18to do
13:19around this racetrack as the rain now falls even heavier but Mar Marquez decided to go on a quite
13:25well-worn medium rear tire yesterday for his final one having recognized that a 1.19 4.61 was more
13:32than enough to get him through to qualifying two so Mar Marquez decided to get some more information
13:37ahead of the Grand Prix tomorrow given the fact that that's probably the last he's going to run on dry
13:42tires until at the very earliest the warm-up we think tomorrow with more rain likely to come for the
13:47sprint later on and certainly for the Grand Prix over 30 laps on Sunday so Mar Marquez
13:52felt that it was more important to get some extra information in terms of the race rather than
13:57putting in a second time attack when ultimately to get into the top 10 he didn't really need it
14:02Mar Marquez said he wasn't too sure whether he was going to be able to beat that lap time at
14:05the Gianto and he was certainly get an awful lot closer to it already a day of celebrations for
14:11the Ducati squad a happy 59th birthday to Gigi Delinho
14:15yeah many happy returns to the engineering god that is Gigi Delinho what a job he has done
14:23over the last decade or so uh to to turn Ducati into one of the most dominant forces we've ever
14:30seen
14:31in Grand Prix history he just waited a little bit to uh get himself set and ready for action
14:37Alex Marquez he was asked along with Luca Mourinho yesterday a couple of riders who have
14:42nursing injuries and walking wounded here at the Saxon Ring what they thought about the prospect of
14:47competing in the rain here today well they said yeah it's certainly going to be easier on the body
14:52a lot less physically demanding the problem is when it's wet it certainly does ramp up the risk factor
14:57doesn't it uh Luca Mourinho yesterday had a quick look at uh his work didn't do anything more than
15:03five lap runs in fact in FP1 he did a his longest run was one solitary five lap run and
15:10that was
15:10exactly the same in the second session as well so Mourinho has done nothing more than a five lap
15:15sequence of course he said uh struggling uh with timeness on the on the left side of his body of
15:21course he's been out of action for quite a period of time uh sir Mourinho so I don't think he'll
15:26be
15:26well I think he'll be welcoming the respite that the rain conditions might be bringing him
15:30as we mentioned certainly does ramp up the risk factor Jack Miller good to see the Aussie directly
15:36through uh 2q2 he was eight fastest uh yesterday so we'll see Miller fighting for proposition in
15:43conditions that we know that Jack normally uh revels in in fact look at the time he screams
15:48surprise surprise Jack straight away he's got himself uh top spot although he's just been passed by
15:53let's get the thoughts of the boss Gino Borsoil who joins Jack yeah I wanted to grab Gino because I'm
15:57sure a
15:58lot of fans at home will have seen the weather and instantly thought well this might be a day for
16:02Jack Miller or Miguel Oliveira we know that the pair of them are super strong in these damp tricky
16:08conditions so it's the real hope real optimism that you can have a good day today Gino I hope not
16:14only
16:15today even tomorrow tomorrow is a big day but for sure under the rain we are a bit better uh
16:21we're
16:22suffering less compared to the dry condition uh he did a really good job yesterday too so he was so
16:28fast actually he ride one second faster than last year he improved a lot uh we were so close to
16:34make uh
16:34let's say uh the record of the super league we were yesterday are one tenth from the record means the
16:43bike
16:43improving uh jack is is is good here so we need to work uh a bit more to find the
16:51pace but in terms of
16:52speed uh one one lap as we show quite a lot of several times we are quite okay obviously to
17:01be fast
17:01in wet weather requires to have a very strong feeling a good connection with the bike and for both Jack
17:07and
17:07Miguel they've not had much time in these conditions so despite how good they normally are in the wet
17:14from what you've seen so far have they been able to gel with the Yamaha to get the most out
17:18of it
17:19when it's a little bit slippy well uh as you know we we're suffering a bit with the grief but
17:24uh under
17:25the rain uh the the bike it's it's quite good the feeling that they have under the rain normally normally
17:31then let's see what's going on here in uh in such thing but normally they are quite quite happy about
17:36the bike that the feedback that they receive from uh from the tire so uh means uh would be our
17:44our moment to make a good qualifying and and hope also a good sprint race let's see tomorrow
17:50what i can't say no rain but uh never know here in exactly just finally it feels like a big
17:58week
17:59for both Jack and Miguel all along you've always said the decision will be made after the summer break
18:04with regards to next year so do you feel a little bit of tension in the box from both riders
18:09feeling
18:09that a big result either this weekend or next could could be huge to their careers for sure as you
18:16can
18:16imagine it's not easy for them but it's also a moment that they have to show their speed they need
18:22to
18:23to make a good job they need to do that good uh and as you said uh we have to
18:29wait uh after the summer
18:31way to take a decision at the moment i don't feel that they are nervous they are really concentrated
18:36to do the best to make let's say as best as possible we support them in what they need because
18:44uh they they have to make a result for them even for us so and after that we can we
18:51can have a decision
18:51thanks dino have a good one thank you yeah thanks to uh gino borsoi thanks uh to jack down in
18:57print
18:57lane jack miller still leads or he's got himself back into p1 in this damp uh start to sprint saturday
19:03in the sax ring he's the first rider to find a a 129 just into the 29 is miller a
19:08129 point
19:09at 975 a couple of tendency is clear there now and mark marquez although that has just changed
19:14because off the screens mark has just fired in a 129.636 normal surface feels like he's getting
19:22resumed once again here in germany also on board with peko van jaya of course also gone very well in
19:29wet conditions for over years one in burry around last year in wet conditions and you'll never know
19:34whether we would have won in wet conditions on the mod because we've taken out the first chicane and
19:37started on the wet tires banyaya just by looking at the standings yesterday you might think banyaya
19:44scraped through to q2 which he kind of did because he was ninth fastest only made it through by a
19:50tenth of a second but banyaya said he actually looked a lot better general pace and rhythm than
19:55that just blew the time attack really at the end of the session which forced him to drop down the
20:01order
20:01did run the new chassis from ducati which we've seen run by mark marquez since the correct test
20:07post grand prix we saw him race that for the first time we use it on a grand prix weekend
20:11for the first
20:11time at lamont banyaya did test it out yesterday but he did say that while there were some positives
20:17from it perhaps the bike moved around a little bit more under braking and a corner entry than he would
20:21ideally like so banyaya potentially going to explore that further later in the year yeah he was really
20:28impressed with the rear grip that's offered by that new chassis he tried it was all the way far as
20:33back as mizano test last september so something that they've had in the truck for quite some time
20:38uh the uh the factory dikathy squad is smart marquez is going to stretch his legs and stretches
20:43our vantage to over six tenths of a second now and one three nine point zero four eight has got
20:49mark
20:49clear of the back morbidelli has got himself up into second frankie in the drive uh yesterday was happy
20:57to be inside uh the top six uh room for improvement though you felt he said struggling with a little
21:02bit
21:02of lack of rear grip edge grip is of course and your primary concern around the saxophone particularly on
21:08the uh the left hand side of the tire so uh we've now got mark morbidelli and miller into the
21:13129 which
21:14is pretty respectable pace given the conditions isn't it the john antonio has all topped that record
21:20which was a mesmerizing lap yesterday of that 119 flat so we are pretty much bang on 10 seconds slower
21:27in the rain condition michael bersecki did say yesterday that he's always felt like the sax
21:31rings offered good grip in the rain i think we're finding out that it's still offering good grip in the
21:36right in 2025. who that's particularly key for likely are the yamaha spoke to fabio potterara yesterday
21:42about the possibility of a wet day because it's fair to say that has struggled at times and yamaha
21:47has struggled recently the lower the grip is the more they tend to struggle he did say it the track
21:52offers good grip in wet conditions we can be competitive but if it's too slippery and the grip
21:58levels are especially low and slick in these wet conditions we are going to have some serious problems
22:03at the moment jack miller up in full face potterara has dropped back down to ninth place at the moment
22:08but yamaha perhaps not having the problems that they might have feared with the rain now falling on
22:13the sectional surface yeah i think the wetter it is the better it is as far as yamaha are concerned
22:18it's
22:18when it's that sort of half and half the nasty mixed conditions is where the yamaha struggles
22:23olivera himself post upon that here pre-weekend he said worst case scenario for yamaha is rain and then
22:31a drying track because that's where we just have zero grip that's when it's like we're riding on ice so
22:37at the moment we sort of you feel like with the rain easing off a little bit we might be
22:40heading
22:41towards a point where the yamahas will uh start to uh suffer let's just track alex marquez over the line
22:47to complete uh his latest lap in the session alex at the moment ninth fastest pedro costa who we know
22:54has got some wet weather prowess he was fourth in that dramatic flag-to-flag battle in le mans
22:59his last podium at the gp came in that wet grand prix in burram where he really did shine behind
23:05both
23:05bangaya and marty what's happening weather-wise down here or let's go and ask jack what's going on
23:10yeah the rain has actually stopped i mean you'd speak about those conditions that the yamaha guys don't
23:15want when you feel as though it is going to come although having said that the rain does start
23:20again it feels like it's just going to be one of those days doesn't it on off on off the
23:25good job
23:25is i've got back a duel on i'm ready for all conditions yeah get the old waterproof footage
23:30out i think you might need them at some stage today as we follow 93. into the final corner goes
23:39mark marquez
23:40still leading this session acosta we just mentioned he was looking good to get into the top three as
23:44this was a replay of marquez he had a big scare there yesterday in the dry conditions going
23:51through turn 10 the high speed left and he was out of the seat
23:57a little twitch there from mark of course it was in that same corner last year i remember
24:03mammy finiales had a real big get off didn't he on the factory brilliant so we were mentioning acosta and
24:09how
24:09he was looking strong to maybe attack for the top three uh well he didn't let us down uh because
24:14pedro up into third place on the factory ktm and looking a little bit more chirpy and a little bit
24:20more upbeat when he came and spoke to the media last night was the former motor 2 and motor 3
24:25world
24:26champion uh he said despite wanting more not being where he wants to be in terms of results and
24:31performance it's time to see the glass half full and at least publicly appear that's slightly more
24:36optimistic he even admitted that ktm have been accusing him perhaps of being a tad too negative
24:41of late he said you can't cry for something you don't have which he's obviously referencing a
24:47competitive ktm right now what he feels is a competitive ktm so head down and crack on time
24:53as far as acosta's concerned yeah the only way to improve upon all that is to put in the hard
24:58work
24:58rather than getting too down in the dumps about it pedro costa clearly now a little bit of a change
25:04in
25:04mindset and focusing on the positives and trying to build up with ktm let's get a word immediately
25:09from the ktm camp here's team manager aki ayo is now speaking to jack yeah because firstly it felt
25:15like a really positive day on the other side of the box for brad binder he's he's had his struggles
25:20but
25:20to get into the the top 10 yesterday i'm sure he slept a lot better last night i give them
25:25what he has
25:26done in recent weeks for sure for sure it's uh as i always used to say uh all the changes
25:33always
25:34takes the time and we try try with brand a little bit let's say to work in a little bit
25:38different
25:38way simplify some work and uh i feel we are on the right track let's say but okay today everything
25:47of course turning around when it's uh when it's the wet condition but of course the forecast tomorrow is
25:51much better and uh we feel quite prepared in yesterday for this for the dry conditions
25:57brad's spoken a lot about how he's having to to change his nature on the bike it's with the the
26:02recent
26:02changes in the way development has gone you can't force it it has to be super smooth which with
26:07everyone from watching brad throughout the years knows that that's not how he has ridden a bike over
26:12the past few years but the fact that he's able to to change his riding style and was able to
26:17be
26:17successful yesterday is that down to the nature of the circuit you spend so much time on the side of
26:23the bike and you have to just hit your markers or is it down to some some big changes he's
26:28been able to
26:29yeah of course always the riders who can who can adapt they are strong and the rider need to improve
26:35about the adaptation and to be ready for the different situations but in any case you you
26:41you cannot make it too theoretical or too systematic you have you have to flow and you have to follow
26:48your instinct as well and i think maybe maybe this was a little bit missing in one point and i'm
26:56confident
26:57that brad will find this he's broken these wet conditions should it suit both pedro and brads
27:03what do you think is it an opportunity perhaps oh we we need to be ready that it suits for
27:09all of us
27:09that's why we are here good luck i hope it's a good one thanks thanks jack thanks as always to
27:16uh rebel care team factory racing boss akiya yeah there was a lot of relief around the austrian
27:22garage yesterday he always felt like pedro acosta had the pace to uh ease into q2 but binder did leave
27:29it late he was lying down his sort of 17th 18th 19th budget at that hour-long practice session but
27:36when
27:36he had to deliver he did fair play to the south africa he dove deep and found a 119.733
27:42q2 appearances have
27:44been few and far between so far this year before binder argentina and aragon the only two previous times
27:51is featured in q2 only once so far this year has binder qualified inside the top 10 and that was
27:59a
27:59sixth place on the grid at aragon so he's had his uh soft tire a time attack woes himself to
28:07deal with
28:07on the rc16 this year such a difference to your weekend doesn't it if you can get that hard work
28:13out
28:13of the way of course the only two places up for grabs in qualifying one of course the rider that
28:17he
28:17was a fellow ktm in maverick vinales who are now watching on screen as the protector for his
28:24leathers or to keep the water off his leathers has fallen truly split on his back you can see riders
28:29wearing those when the conditions are especially wet the most dignified look for top gun but he's
28:37he's doing a solid job in this session currently in seventh place although of course on a day like
28:41today it could be one of those quirky side scenarios where if you get through qualifying one if you're in
28:47that top two you could find yourself at quite an advantage over the other 10 riders when you get
28:52to qualifying two because you will have some very recent track knowledge in terms of where the
28:57troublesome spots are how grip levels are which the other 10 riders in q2 will not have been a while
29:03since we've got a full wet q2 session harass 2024 that was right old scale wasn't it turn 10 that's
29:10for uh for uh mark he had a similar incident in the dry didn't he yesterday
29:17but uh yeah that'll wake him up scary old crash when you feel that the rear stepping out from uh
29:24underneath you as you power through turn 10 you're trying to get yourself set up carry the corner
29:29speed carry the momentum before you flick it right to then attack down the hill through the the wildman curve
29:36okay so when he's not having big moments and big scares through 10 he's as always in the sax ring
29:43very very rapid indeed still leads this session by over a 10 and a half momodelli still is close his
29:48company in second a cost of third sean zarko who's well we know that he certainly want to watch if
29:54it is
29:55wet just cashing minds about perfect timing as he pops up on screens to that unbelievable french
30:01grand prix uh in the month a few weeks ago but i think we've we've still got a rate from
30:06the the
30:07fans uh singing the marcia's on that day fourth fastest right now is zarko and let's not forget
30:12he was on the deck twice yesterday and where he's especially good in wet conditions is where it's going
30:17from wet to dry so if we are in a scenario before qualifying if it doesn't rain heavily before
30:23qualifying and track conditions gradually improve then that might play beautifully into
30:27johan sarko's hands but of course he does have to get through qualifying one first before we could
30:32even think about challenging for pole position and pole position that he did take here at the
30:36saxon ring some four years ago in 2021 he does feel like that uh he's got the honda of leman
30:44and
30:44silverstone back in his hands though it's been a pretty rough period of late as far as uh hrc are
30:49concerned joan mir was a little bit frustrated yesterday felt that he was going to be booking a place
30:55directly aimed to q2 on the 36 bike tom was like a few other rides were reporting when they went
31:02on to
31:03the the second time attack he started it on a four lap old hard front tire and the extra grip
31:09the new
31:11the grip coming from a new rear tire was just as it so often does overload and overpower the front
31:17and
31:17created understeer al fernand is another rider who touched upon that point he was another rider and it
31:22felt like he certainly had the potential to get through the q2 front row start of course here
31:27last year wasn't he for track house ral fernandez 14th he was fernandez on the time sheets yesterday
31:33which i don't really think was a real accurate reflection of his potential i'd look at fernandez's
31:39sort of pace yesterday he did a very respectable eight lap run in the morning and he did an eight
31:44lap and
31:44then a nine lap run yesterday afternoon very fast and very consistent so he can get himself inside the
31:51top 10 on the grid and fernandez might be just one to watch in the sprint in the grand three
31:55here tomorrow
31:57in terms of the current session of course such a challenge for the rookies in these kind of
32:01conditions of course they have had some wet weather experience earlier on in the season but this is
32:06such a specific circuit in terms of the challenge it presents fermi now to get currently in 17th place
32:12he's done nine laps he's two seconds off the pace and ayagura he's just right behind his track house
32:16teammate actually ral fernandez their 19th and 20th at the moment on the factory of prillias or the
32:21prillias for track house which hasn't always been the biker choice in wet conditions mark
32:25medecki does have them probably up in sixth place he's done a 130 flat but at the moment ayagura on
32:31his
32:31first wet collapse of the saxoring is not getting an awful lot of change out of it he is some
32:373.7 seconds
32:38of the pace starring on a double track house front row of the grid last year was olivera he's talking
32:45a little bit at the moment to find any pace out of the factory yamaha in conditions where we know
32:50olivera tends to wear excel he's got himself up into 15th place of course it was here in the sprint
32:56last
32:56year where olivera took what remains track house's lone podium in moto gp here's alex rings who
33:05has to say it's a bit of a tough watch right now uh for the second of the the factory
33:10yamahas
33:12brutal day one here in germany for the number 42 didn't see no matter what he did
33:17and once again reports from inside the rings side of the yamaha garage you just cannot initially in
33:25the sort of first two three four laps get any sort of temperature optimal working temperature in both
33:31front and rear tires and in sort of cool and wet conditions this morning you fear that's going to
33:35be putting alex in a similar hole although he's looking a little bit more faster and more competitive
33:41this morning 10th trickiest at the moment is rinse with a 130.301
33:45so it's jacquati jacquati ktm honda yamaha aprilia the top six at the moment ktms vignanas and binda
33:53also inside the top 10 7th and 9th of course reminding you there are only three more ktms in the
34:00field
34:00now with an air bashtini ruled out for the west little weekend due to his illness of course we've
34:06only got three hondas on track as well joan zarko luca marini and juan mir with some chantra absent
34:12through a new interest stained in trading in the one up to uh this german grand prix which means we
34:17want to see chantra again until post the summer break you would have seen these conditions as a
34:21real opportunity we will see taking that garment back back with elsio honda next weekend he'll take
34:27the the hot seat of chantra but in the uh bruno grand prix here's more modelli who has been in
34:34good
34:35look so far on this uh wet saturday morning he's been second in this session for quite some time
34:40might be getting even better might be getting better for a couple of the uh vr 46 academy
34:45graduates because at the moment it's a bit of a a duel between morbidelli and betsecki and don't
34:50discount acosta who we know goes well in these conditions we'll stay on board with morbidelli then
34:55through turn 13 he goes this will be tight at the top can he depose mark marquez no not quite
35:00he does
35:01find a pb lap though on that lap 11 what would they down to a one 29.197 yeah that's
35:07just quite a lot in this
35:07session while marquez are in the final sector here the two left-handlers to complete the lap we've
35:13seen quite a few riders up on marquez at this stage but they drop behind him as we get to
35:18the
35:18end of the lap we'll just see joan zarko over the line before we go down to here from his
35:24boss who's
35:24waiting with jack up in pit lane zarko is into the heart of the final corner now currently sitting in
35:29fourth place on a 129.5 could potentially get into the 28th if he finishes this lap strongly
35:35it's a 29-2 zarko into third so let's go down and get the thoughts of the boss lucho checking
35:41over joining jack happy and lucho to magic and zarko pushing for the top three yeah absolutely lucho
35:47showing that he's got the sorry lucho isn't out there on track at the moment johan is showing he's got
35:51the
35:51pace out there on track at the moment which is keeping lucho happy in these conditions of course you guys
35:57victorious the last time we saw something similar it leads to a lot of people to think that there's
36:02there's an opportunity there for johan today how important is it and how difficult will it be
36:07to try and take that opportunity difficult is always especially this condition you know it's uh
36:14it's very near the the the limit where where you can make a masterpiece or you can destroy everything so
36:21we are of course fully aware that it can be an opportunity
36:26we are trying uh now to to find the the
36:31bike setup for the qualifying and then we see the reason of the weather
36:37there is some possibility that we will have some shower more shower during during the day
36:43but i am not 100 sure that we will raise the sprinter in the wet condition
36:50so you think that it could be 50 50 or even dry out by then what we have seen is
36:57that uh there are a lot of
36:59uh there are an instability in the area that some shower come and some shower will uh will leave and
37:10then we we have to see we have to see but
37:12the uh mostly 80 will be these conditions though are very much johan's right now he's always been
37:21the master of when it's not fully wet but just starting to dry out to just understand exactly
37:28where the levels of grip are have seen him be really fast in these before i mean where does he
37:34get that
37:34from is that just from pure feeling definitely is um is a very very sensitive rider he's very precise and
37:43uh he's a very very talented on on understanding the the limit of the bike but i also would like
37:51to say
37:51that definitely is a long-term experience
38:05this kind of condition just finally whilst we have you i should ask about some care to
38:13i believe had surgery at the start of this week was it he's obviously missing this one
38:17and for now how is it how's the the rehabilitation going after after surgery well at this moment we
38:24cannot really talk about rehabilitation because he has the program is that for two weeks is he is
38:31not allowed to move his knee however by early next week we will start to train his upper body
38:41so we will go back into the gym with a wheelchair with a leg like you know with a straight
38:49leg
38:50and then we will train the upper body we already figured out some cardio training some also muscular
38:57training which is very helpful for recover quick because you activated the blood circulation you know
39:03and then it's very important then we have another problem plan after the the from the third and the
39:08week we will start to move the leg up to 90 percent and then after the fourth week we will
39:18start to move
39:22the knee and to bend the leg at the maximum
39:27sounds a fairly serious injury is austria a realistic target or might that come too soon
39:35so that's our target but to be honest the doctor said that it could be a little bit tight and
39:43he
39:43prefer to revise him you know just a couple of minutes to make an mra and to understand how the
39:53healer have proceeded so to be honest we are not 100 sure that he will be able to raise
40:04so thank you thank you have a good one thank you so much yeah thanks as always jack thanks to
40:09uh
40:09lucho checking on boss of elcio honda if we have got any kind of unpredictability about the rank on
40:15this afternoon i would just be huddling around lucho checking on weather because in le mans uh both he
40:21and joan zarko called it absolutely spot on they started that uh french company didn't they on wet
40:27tires and it turned out to be a tactical masterstroke so whatever tires joan zarko is running i just make
40:33sure that i'm on the same ones because they always seem to to get the calls right mark marquez with
40:39the
40:39rain uh easing off and well completely stopping over the last few minutes or so track conditions as we can
40:44see there's a
40:45a clear dry line starting to re-emerge here just as it was at the end of moto two that's
40:50why the times are
40:51getting a little bit quicker late on maverick vinales briefly led the way fabio de antonio
40:57topped practice yesterday after getting a reference and toe behind mark marquez
41:02vinales uh shot to the top of the timesheets this morning with a 128.474 that was right on the
41:08rear
41:08tire of mark as well but mark has responded with a a low 28 in his own which is putting
41:13back in the
41:14ascendancy by nearly two tenths what we also saw from the ktms that improved vinales and acosta they
41:19put in a fresh medium rear wet tire fabio quattararo absolutely raging at something as he comes across
41:25the line to complete his session 14th for fabio quattararo 1.7 seconds off the place of pacing clearly fuming
41:33yeah maya marigali monster and his yamaha team moss looks up at the screens and wonders
41:41is the right i was going to say the ride height device sitting pretty low there
41:46squeezed the brake down into the home again didn't he
41:54yeah he's angry about something that's upset fabio quattararo here he's livid
42:02getting a bit hot under the collar there
42:06it's been a few pretty uh high profile technical issues hasn't there for yamaha so far this year
42:16that ride-on device looks trapped stuck onto me yeah it looked quite low didn't it there as he came
42:20through the left-hander of turn eight a better idea when he comes back into the pits as to uh
42:27what the
42:28situation is just see how low it is when he's in a straight line if he doesn't have to load
42:32it for
42:33the practice start that also gives a a very good idea they can see mark marquez lowering his ducati as
42:37he gets ready to launch it off the line in white conditions mark marquez after uh low referred by his
42:44very high standards of the saxon ring back on top this morning
42:53absolutely nailed that practice starting these damn conditions here at the end of that session
42:58one twenty eight point two seven seven means job done then for mark next time we'll see him out of
43:04circuit is for q2 what will the conditions be not just for the 50 minute q2 session a little bit
43:10later on
43:10this morning but what will the ride's gonna have to content with coming up in q1 as fabio quateraro
43:15stops uh doesn't he rather angrily to the back of the factory yamaha garage what has upset the
43:24frenchman because clearly he's very agitated at the end of that 30 minute ft2 session one rider who
43:31certainly isn't agitated is he ever agitated here yeah we are with as we suspected it does look like
43:38once again the rear ride height device stuck on for fabio quateraro of course it happened to him when
43:46he was cruising to victory at silverstone in the british grand prix crushing the field wasn't he on
43:51that day when he was denied in the coolest of circumstances so clearly uh yamaha they tried
43:57fixes they tried solutions after that high profile failure in silverstone but still having issues with
44:02the ride height device not so many issues though for mark marquez this morning he was quickest
44:06on a 128 two a couple of tenths clear of maverick vinales who did put in a fresh medium wet
44:13tire
44:13lays on to take second so to do the costa to go third jack miller who was quick throughout tooks
44:18fourth head of alex marquez frankie morbidelli and brad binder joan zarko who's in q1 shortly eighth
44:22ahead of marco ebzecki and luca marini fermin alaguerre top of your two rookies in 11th ahead of
44:27fabi giantonio and pekka banyai who we didn't see much of this morning fabio quateraro who we saw plenty of
44:32at the
44:32end with his rear device stuck on and angry in 14th juan mir next up from olivera at rings ral
44:37fernandez
44:38toronto salvadori and a tough morning in the wet conditions for ayago who improved at the end
44:42but remained three and a half seconds off the pace
44:48so next up we go qualifying in moto gp here in the saxon ring can mark marquez take a ninth
44:57pole
44:58position in moto gp he looks in fantastic form he's been untouchable over the last three grand prix's
45:06double wins in aragon migello and in assen and once again leading the way here in the saxon ring
45:15don't go anywhere two dramatic qualifying touches coming up here in germany
45:37welcome back uh to what unfortunately is a sort of rather gray and gloomy saxon ring
45:44let's soak the uh the fastest rise in the world can bring a ray of sunshine to uh sprint
45:50so
