00:00Does the president view that as a violation of the ceasefire?
00:04No, because these were not U.S. ships. These were not Israeli ships.
00:08These were two international vessels.
00:11And for the American media, who is sort of blowing this out of proportion to discredit the president's facts
00:17that he has completely obliterated Iran's conventional navy,
00:21these two ships were taken by speedy gunboats.
00:24Iran has gone from having the most lethal navy in the Middle East to now acting like a bunch of
00:31pirates.
00:31They don't have control over the strait. This is piracy that we are seeing on display.
00:35And the naval blockade that the United States has imposed continues to be incredibly effective.
00:40And to be clear, the blockade is on ships going to and from Iranian ports.
00:45And the point of this is the economic leverage that we maintain over Iran now,
00:50while there's a ceasefire with respect to the military and kinetic strikes,
00:54Operation Economic Fury continues.
00:57And the crux of that is this naval blockade.
01:00We are choking their economy.
01:03We are strangling their main source of revenue.
01:05They can't pay their own people.
01:07They're losing $500 million every single day.
01:11Karg Island is completely full of oil because they can't transport it to and from.
01:15So the president, the cards are in his hands.
01:18The United States maintains control over the situation.
01:21He has all of the leverage.
01:23And again, that's why he's maintained a little bit of flexibility with the extension of the ceasefire
01:27as we await a unified response from the Iranians to the president's very clear proposal.
