00:14Front,
00:14where Pakistan tried to attack during Operation Sindhoor.
00:18From the treacherous Greek regions to the vast, featureless run-off kutch,
00:23Shivani Sharma bringing you an inside look at how the Indian Army not only countered threats during Operation Sindhoor,
00:29but continues to maintain complete dominance even today.
00:53Bhuja is not just another military station,
00:56but it is the toughest battlefields that Indian Army has mastered.
01:01From salty marshes to the treacherous Greek,
01:04the geography has been converted into strength by the Indian Army.
01:09This is the place where Indian Army is marking the success of Operation Sindhoor after one year,
01:16and we'll show you how the Army has been dominating this particular terrain
01:21with capability enhancement and preparedness.
01:28The 96-kilometre-long creek region in the Bhuja sector close to Pakistan border
01:34is one of the world's most unique areas due to its geographical location and the terrain.
01:42There are six creeks spread across the stretch consisting of salty marshes on one side
01:47and dense mangroves filled with snakes in hostile conditions on the other.
01:54The Indian Army dominates the entire creek with continuous patrols and surveillance in water,
02:02while special commando units maintain control on land.
02:07What you see here is a piece of sea in which Indian Army's patrol boats are dominating.
02:14On the other hand, we also see the marshy land,
02:18which is difficult and keeps shifting its state throughout the year.
02:22The Indian Army has been conducting these exercises round the year,
02:27no matter what the weather is like.
02:30So this is how the amphibian operations are also on a display.
02:34The infantry with the weapons in their hand.
02:38The drones are also operating out here.
02:40You can see there are drones in the air.
02:42Reports include battle operations by the Indian Army showcasing the power of integrated operations.
02:50Fast-moving patrol boats control the creek region,
02:53while the ground units identify enemy positions and target them with precision.
03:01The use of AK-203 rifles and other new generation weapons
03:05highlights the modernization of infantry units in the sector.
03:12Operation Sindur saw a new kind of warfare drone incursions from across the border.
03:18But here, in Bhuj, India's air defense grid stood impenetrable.
03:24Systems like the L-70 air defense guns proved their relevance yet again,
03:29neutralizing aerial threats with precision and speed, sending a clear message.
03:35India's skies are secure.
03:38The air defense shield created by the Army Air Defense comprising L-70 guns, drones,
03:45and radar systems always remain active.
03:51During Operation Sindur, this very grid brought down multiple Pakistani drones in the region.
04:00Soldiers and officers involved in these operations have been commended by the Army chief
04:05and awarded calentary honors for safeguarding Indian sovereignty.
04:10These L-70 guns, they proved their mettle by defending the skies and damaging, destroying the Pakistan's drones.
04:20So this is the L-70 gun, the air defense gun system that has been proving its mettle.
04:28These are the upgraded guns.
04:30So this is how they turn the skies absolutely secure.
04:34You see this operation right now here in the creek sector, close to Kutch,
04:41where these air defense soldiers, they are empowering the Indian Army with secure skies.
04:47Our deployment was deliberately balanced, thereby ensuring a strong defensive grid,
04:53meanwhile maintaining or retaining offensive capability so that if any offensive operations are required to be undertaken,
05:01it can be undertaken at a short notice.
05:03A coordinated civil defense mechanism was put in place to safeguard our critical assets and population centers.
05:11Our synergized and swift response enabled effective neutralization of the enemies.
05:32After the Pahalgam attack on 22nd April, the Indian Army had already strategically positioned itself in the Bhaj sector with
05:40all assets,
05:41including air defense guns, patrol boats, radars, infantry battalions, drones, tanks and artillery.
05:53These preparations were carried out in coordination with the Air Force, Navy, BSF and Coast Guard,
06:00anticipating a response from Pakistan after Operation Sindhur.
06:34The
06:35deployment ko balance rakhah
06:37taakhi hum ek
06:39sidrid defensive grid ko banay rakhye
06:41aur usi ke saath-saath
06:43ye kabliyat bhi rakhye ki agar koi offensive
06:45operations karne ki zharurat hai
06:47to usko bhi hum teji se anjama dhe pahe
06:49this is a combination of sea
06:51creeks and a marshi land
06:53in between where
06:55the patrols of the Indian army
06:56are continuously going on
06:59we see here the battlefield
07:00is not only on land
07:02but on sea with these
07:05patrol vessels that are present
07:07here that are
07:08continuously dominating this
07:11whole area this sector reflects the
07:13Indian army shift towards integrated battle
07:15readiness from artillery units
07:17to armoured formations and surveillance drones
07:19every element here
07:20works in synergy
07:24the sector reflects Indian army shift
07:27towards integrated battle readiness
07:29from artillery units to armoured
07:31formations and surveillance drones
07:33every element here
07:35works in synergy
07:37operation sindoor was not just about defense
07:40it showcased India's ability to respond
07:42dominate and control escalation
07:45on its own terms
07:46one of the reports show a drone training lab
07:50where soldiers are trained to become drone warriors
07:53simulators provide specialized training
07:55before real-time field exercises begin
07:58with obstacle-based targets
08:02the drone warfare capability shows how the Indian army is adapting and advancing technologically
08:10learning from recent conflicts
08:16this is how the training is happening and these drone labs have been training soldiers for units and not only
08:24one kind of a drone but multiple varieties of drones are being operated and training is being given depending upon
08:32the role and the mission
08:33So this is how these operators out here they are learning they are training on the simulator to save time
08:42to save equipment from drone labs and simulators now this is the actual field training for the drones where the
08:49obstacles have been created
08:51so this is how the drones are being handled and there are several obstacles that have been placed on this
08:58training area where the drones have to be flown through these obstacles depending upon the need of the operation the
09:06target the altitude of the target there has to be maneuvering that goes into achieving the particular target neutralizing it
09:16and you can see how the soldiers these drone
09:19the drone yodas of the drone yodas of the indian army are being trained here in this field they are
09:25flying these drones for perfection for zero error and for success in operations like operations in door we are right
09:35now at runoff kutch close to pakistan border this is one of the most significant and strategic locations when it
09:42comes to topography this is a featureless terrain with unpredictable surfaces
09:48there are challenges there are challenges of mobility and mirages but the indian army has deployed all its assets including
09:57the infantry its artillery its armored air defense fighting in the runoff kutch and the creek areas is unlike conventional
10:05warfare extreme temperatures shifting terrain and limited mobility make operations here uniquely challenging yet the indian army has developed
10:17unmatched expertise in this terrain giving it a decisive operational edge over pakistan
10:27this is an extremely difficult terrain with temperatures reaching high as 50 degrees i'll show you what the soil out
10:38here looks like see this is the mud where you but this is the spongy mud which you can't walk
10:45on it looks like
10:46a surface but when you start walking it subsides so this is very difficult but still these soldiers out here
10:56they are training they are prepared they are deployed with these weapon systems with these rt guns with their tanks
11:03and high morale
11:06this region was also targeted by pakistan during operation sindhu however the indian army responded strongly shooting down drones and
11:16maintaining complete dominance over the area
11:40the indian army has deployed l-70 air defense guns artillery units t-72 tanks drones and
11:49infantry formations across the run even one year after operation sindhu the army remains on high alert
11:58the deployment carried out during the operation continues to remain in place these tanks are the most powerful
12:07tanks of the indian army and in this difficult terrain it gives the capability of firepower and dominance
12:15in this particular region what you see on these tanks is an enhanced feature to protect it from drone attacks
12:23so this is how the indian army has now upgraded these tanks with this protection that camouflages this tank and
12:32gives it added protection so this is how the indian army
12:35the indian army is now enhancing advancing and adding what it needs depending upon the future wars
12:44soldiers soldiers regularly carry out firing drills with small and medium arms to maintain operational
12:50readiness and full combat capability in this demanding terrain
12:57the message from bhoja's loud and clear operation sundoor has reinforced india's deterrence posture along the western front
13:05with advanced air defense surveillance and firepower in place any misadventure from across the border will
13:14not just be countered but decisively defeated
13:21the treacherous terrain of runoff catch is only a force multiplier for the indian army that is deployed here with
13:28full coordination and alertness
13:31operation sindoor has marked a new doctrine for india that india will not tolerate any attack on its
13:37sovereignty and its citizens any attack will be dealt with overwhelming response this is shivani
13:44sharma with camera person pradeep gupta for india today from runoff cut
