00:19Music
00:20What does David Bowie's music mean to you?
00:24It means everything that I ever did in my life came from David.
00:29You know, I think my generation was just, you know, given advice by him,
00:34you know, and shown what books to read, what movies to watch,
00:37and then what clothes to wear, you know, music to play.
00:40Everything. In fact, when we've been on tour together,
00:42we're going to do pilgrimages.
00:43We went together, we went to Bowie's flat in Berlin.
00:46We went to Sigma Sound in Philadelphia or the car park.
00:49It was Sigma Sound where we recorded Young Americans.
00:52And yeah, we're always trying to find places to go with pilgrimages.
00:55So this is a pilgrimage in itself tonight?
00:57Well, see, yeah, I'm looking forward to it.
01:00I'm looking forward to him, you know, being so tall on the screen, you know,
01:03and just wrapped around.
01:05And so did his fashion and love kind of direct influence on Spandau
01:08when you guys started?
01:09Well, that whole neuromantic scene, wasn't it?
01:11That's when we were all kids when we saw Starman on telly.
01:14So it, you know, gave us all the pointers we needed.
01:19And in terms of your music, what's happening with Saucers?
01:23What's happening with Spandau?
01:24We don't know, yeah.
01:24We're sort of, we're just, we're just having a rest.
01:28I mean, I saw Saucer Full of Secrets.
01:29I mean, Arthur's incredible.
01:31That's got, must have a lot of, a lot more legs in it, surely.
01:35Yeah, it may be.
01:36It's nice to think so.
01:37But also there's the thing of, you know, that SIDS had such an effect on Boeing.
01:43That's right.
01:44And of course we're doing our Rock and Toys podcast.
01:46Yeah.
01:47Just find out to us.
01:48Everybody.
01:49Thanks a lot, guys.
01:50Cheers.
01:51Have a good evening.
