00:03Right, I'm here. Thanks very much for accepting the invitation.
00:09Who was your first idol? What team did you support?
00:12What was the beginning of your falling in love in football then?
00:16I've always supported Barcelona. That was my favourite team.
00:22I think my first ever idol was Iniesta.
00:29I loved him very much. When I watched Barcelona, I loved watching him play.
00:37Iraq qualified to the World Cup. Well done. Congratulations.
00:42How proud are you and what does that actually mean to you in that moment?
00:47What does that achievement mean to you?
00:49Of course, it means the world to me.
00:51It's every little kid's childhood dream to play in the World Cup.
00:57You've been sitting there watching the World Cup, watching the big players, the big stars and everything around the World
01:04Cup.
01:04What happens and the fans and everything.
01:08And now, in a couple of months, you're going to be a part of it.
01:13So, of course, it's a big dream. But not only for me, but for the whole country.
01:18And what it does to the country and with the people and the joy that it brings to the whole
01:23country.
01:24I agree, that means even more for me than actually qualifying.
01:28How would you describe the level and the intensity in a Polish extracasta, especially in this season?
01:37Because it's absolutely unpredictable.
01:39Of course, as you say, when I came here first year, I think I got a little bit shocked of
01:45the intensity and everything.
01:48But after a while, I adapted to it.
01:52And then in the end of last season, I could feel that, OK, I think I got it now.
01:59And then I got a whole preseason with the team to this season with the new coach and everything.
02:07And I felt another confidence going into this season.
02:16So, I just went for it.
02:18But as you say, it's unpredictable with this league.
02:21You win two games, you can be up and feeling safe.
02:27But then it hits you two losses and then you're down there fighting for relegation.
02:31So, it's a fun league, absolutely, to play in.
02:35And it's an unpredictable league and it's a tough league where everybody beats each other.
02:39There is no clear favourite because everything can happen.
02:44So, no, I like the league and I think I adapted very well to not only the league,
02:52but being here in Krakow and with everything around.
02:57Which teammate at Krakow has surprised you the most?
03:02Oskar, Oskar Wojcik.
03:05Because last season, when I saw him train, I saw that he had qualities.
03:13But he was always done with the second team playing.
03:16He was on the bench sometimes with us in Ekstraklasa, but never got the opportunity to play.
03:21But you could see that he had qualities during the trainings.
03:27But then when it comes to this season, and you could see in the preseason that he gained a little
03:34bit more confidence.
03:35And the coach believed in him going into this season and see how he consistently have performed game after game.
03:44When it's his first Ekstraklasa season.
03:49That's a big thing and something he should be really proud of.
03:53So, I knew that he was good, but I think he've raised the expectation on himself with his performances.
04:05Does he got the qualities to play in Polish national team, in your opinion?
04:09Of what I saw during the Swedish game, they might need somebody like Oskar Wojcik.
04:15Who's strongly in defence, he's fast, he's good with the ball.
04:20He really sacrificed himself for the team in every moment.
04:28But it's not up to me to say.
04:31Of course, but in my opinion, I think he deserved that.
04:35At least be in the squad.
04:37I'm not saying that he's going to be in the starting XI, but at least be in the squad.
04:40And then it's up to him to show his qualities.
04:44But for sure, I think he should be in the squad.
04:47I mean, there are two other guys in your dressing room, in Polish history.
04:54Kamil Klik and Teusz Klik.
04:56What do you have a relation with those?
04:59I have a good relation with both of them.
05:02Kamil helped me a lot when I came here to adapt and everything.
05:08And then during the season, he helped me a lot also to develop everything around,
05:14to show leadership and everything.
05:18And I talked to him and I have a really good relation with Kamil Klik.
05:21And Klik, of course, we played together in the midfield.
05:25So I think we very quickly found each other on the pitch and also off the pitch.
05:33So we have a good relation.
05:36I have a good relation to both of them.
05:38Kamil Klik.
05:39I mean, how is it to working under Luka Ossling?
05:43What kind of coach he is?
05:46For me, he's been a top coach all the way.
05:50He demands a lot of you as a player.
05:53And he also demands a lot of everything around.
05:56To be professional on himself, on his staff, as a player.
06:00And then there's not one day that will go past and you just come to show up on training and
06:06not do your best.
06:09So he demands a lot.
06:11And you have to be on your toes on every training.
06:16Because otherwise, he will be there on your neck and telling you that you're not doing good enough.
06:21So for me, he's a top coach and he's been in a top five league.
06:30And he knows what it takes to be there.
06:34So for me, it's been really good to work under him.
06:37I've developed a lot, not only as a football player, but he really took out the leadership out of me
06:47and wanted me to take a bigger role, take bigger responsibility in the team.
06:55And I did that.
06:56So, no, for me, he developed me a lot as a player.
07:01And also, I think he's the reason why I've been playing consistently on the level I've been during this season.
07:09Except yesterday then.
07:11About your red card, do you think it was the right decision on the referee?
07:15About my red card, I don't really know.
07:20I think, of course, he's in front of me.
07:24He has a clear goal chance.
07:27I think he's more seeking the contact than he wants to finish.
07:33He's just waiting for me to run into him.
07:35And then, yeah, I gave him a little push in the back and he gave me a low.
07:41But after a VAR review, he gave me red because he said that the players still have control over the
07:49situation.
07:51So, yeah, the referee is on…
07:55He refereed on a high level for a long time in his Champions League and World Cup.
08:00So, I think he knows the rulebook better than me.
08:07And I should, yeah, I should maybe do something else in that situation.
08:13But I take responsibility for my action and there's nothing I can do about it today.
08:18More than I hate missing games and especially the next game.
08:24And I hate being on the side, not being able to help the team.
08:30So, that's the worst thing of everything.
08:32So, yeah, it's going to be a tough week.
08:36But it's just getting back up again and keep fighting.
08:42Thank you very much.
08:43Best luck, of course, and your future also then.
08:48So, let's see.
08:50Best luck then.
08:51Thank you very much for your time.
08:54Cheers.
