00:51:30I've never performed in front of anyone besides friends and family, so I'm very excited, but I'm also still very

00:51:38I come from a musical family. My dad is a harmonicus. My mother sang her whole life, but I just
00:51:46never took it seriously.
00:51:49Growing up was difficult for me. I had trouble making friends. I was very shy, awkward.
00:51:57I started playing soccer around age six. That kind of led to making friends, and from that point on, soccer
00:52:06was my life.
00:52:07My dream for soccer was always to go pro, to see my last name on my back with a number
00:52:12that I liked.
00:52:14My freshman year of high school, halfway through the soccer season, I went for a free kick, and I planted
00:52:24my left foot to kick it, and I felt like a gear switch in my lower left back, and I
00:52:29couldn't feel my legs.
00:52:31I snapped my back in half, and that changed everything.
00:52:37It was hard for him to not be able to engage in what he loved and be around the other
00:52:43boys and be a part of things.
00:52:45I was lost for a long time, and then I picked up a guitar, and I didn't want to put
00:52:50it down.
00:52:52You haven't played out much. Why is that?
00:52:55I'm working too much.
