Some household noises turn out to be more literal than expected.

A fireplace panel is removed, and a jackdaw is released from the chimney, fluttering out into the open.

"On Wednesday evening, I heard scratching and flapping in my living room. I quickly realized that a bird had fallen down my chimney and was stuck above the board blocking the fireplace. I called my dad that evening, but he did not believe me and said I was probably just hearing birds nesting. How wrong he was! From 5 a.m., the bird kept calling out, making it a sleepless night. It turned out a jackdaw was trapped at the bottom of my chimney, but thankfully it was unharmed and flew away once my dad removed the panel. We then heard more noise and looked up the chimney with a torch, only to spot a second jackdaw near the top. Thankfully, it managed to find its way back out on its own," the filmer, Samantha, told WooGlobe.

The moment lands as a practical rescue with an unexpectedly busy chimney. By the end, the house is quiet again and the birds are back outside.
