00:08mapanayin po natin ng OIC Undersecretary for Learning Systems
00:11strand ng Department of Education na si Dr. Carmela Oracion.

00:20Ano naging basenpo ng DepEd sa pagpatupad ng three-term school calendar
00:24sa ating basic education?
00:26Okay. Nanggagaling po tayo, Sir, sa four-grading period school year,
00:32yung quarterly dati.
00:33Maraming-maraming po tayong naobserbahan.
00:36Una na ang cancellation of classes,
00:41ang effect nito sa daloy and so on and so forth.
00:46So, ang ginagawa po natin ngayon ay nire-re-organize natin yung school year.
00:52Batay na rin ito sa ating mga narinig sa EDCOM report,
00:56sa mga kasamahan natin sa field.
00:58Nire-organize natin into three grading periods
01:02that will allow us to be more focused on teaching
01:07and learning on dedicated periods.
01:10However, we note that formation of the learners
01:17also benefits from co-curricular and extracurricular activities.

01:53iba po yung attention naman nila ay concentrated

03:37while simultaneously we are also strengthening
03:41mainstream or classroom instruction.

03:44May latak, may latak pa rin po ang impact ng pandemic sa atin,

03:53damang-dama pa po natin sa ating mga key stage 3 or junior high school students.

04:41Yung magkaroon po tayo in the beginning of the school year
04:44ng dedicated time para lang po mag-remediate.
04:49So, ang isang window po na sure na natin,
04:51na nakita natin,
04:52ang grade 1.
04:53Kasi po, sa totoo lang,
04:55dapat lahat ng grade 1,
04:58unless may developmental challenges,
05:02dapat po kaya nating maturuan,
05:04magbasa,
05:05kaya nilang matuto magbasa.
05:06So, ito po,
05:08nasa drawing board pa lang po yung detalya nito.
05:12Pero gusto ko na pong i-share sa inyo
05:13na ang several weeks natin sa grade 1,
