00:23I have to be honest, it's truly special to receive this award from this man over here.
00:32I told him before, I mean, he has how many, one, five, six?
00:36So he got bored that he said, okay, I'm going to host this one.
00:40So, no, it's truly crazy because for different reasons, I think, first of all, this award is very special because
00:48just have a look around who's here this evening.
00:52This gives this award a big value, I think, how many people are here, inspiring people, people that achieved crazy
01:00things in their sports and they stay together here for the same values.
01:04That's pretty important, I think.
01:07Second, to receive this award here, especially here in Madrid, means a lot because when I came here like around
01:1512 years ago from Munich, I didn't know what to expect.
01:20I mean, it's not easy.
01:22I was still very young to leave your country with a small family that grew over the years, but, and
01:29I can say not only because of what happened on the pitch, all the trophies we won, I can definitely
01:36say that I found a new home here.
01:38And I still live here even two years after I finished my career and there are no other plans for
01:45the future.
01:45So, it's incredibly special to receive this award here in Madrid, which I call my home now and that makes
01:53it even more special.
01:53And third, I think the most important reason is that I don't only achieve this award because of what happened
02:01on the pitch, you know, great things happened there.
02:04I was truly blessed to play with, yeah, I mean, for me, the best team in the world for such
02:10a long time.
02:11I think the trophies show this, but also that what Novak said and what the video showed, the things what
02:18happened off the pitch.
02:19I think it's very important, you know, to present these values because I think the situation, and I'm definitely the
02:30last one that is going to hold a political speech or whatever.
02:33I'm not in the position to do that, but I think we can see that things are going crazy in
02:39the world.
02:39And I think here are so many people with such a big fan base, with such a big community.
02:46And if we stand together, I think, for the right values, for the right things, for peace, for the respect,
02:53I think we can achieve a lot.
02:55Because other things we can't control, but we can control ourselves.
02:59And I think we have to try to be a good example.
03:02We have legends, I mean, he's still playing, that's crazy, but he's still a legend.
03:07We have Jannik, we have Carlos, who is going to do that for the next 10, 15 years, hopefully.
03:12And I think if we unite these generations and show the right values, we can make a big step forward.
