00:00:00Thank you for listening.
00:01:35I remember waking up and Emma was there.
00:01:40Emma's always there.
00:02:09Where do you go in that time?
00:02:17You can't just not be anywhere.
00:02:37Is it good for you guys to see each other again?
00:02:39No.
00:02:41You should know what I think.
00:02:43Can I say this?
00:02:44We need to have more nights out.
00:02:46I've been avoiding him.
00:02:48He's a hazard.
00:02:49Why?
00:02:51He's a hazard.
00:02:52Anytime I go anywhere near him I get in trouble.
00:02:54Shall I come with a warning?
00:02:56Yes.
00:02:59How's the job hunting going Joe?
00:03:04I can't really work.
00:03:09He's fine.
00:03:16Unemployable.
00:03:18Unemployable.
00:03:18Yep.
00:03:20What's the dessert?
00:03:22Surprised.
00:03:23Crumble.
00:03:24Did you just tell him what the surprise was?
00:03:26My favourite.
00:03:27You've got to find out.
00:03:28He loves apple crumble.
00:03:29Exactly.
00:03:30Made it for him.
00:03:32I've heard it nearly every night since you've been away.
00:03:36That's not so rude.

00:04:15It's a shame Sarah couldn't come where.
00:04:18I don't know why she is.
00:04:19She'd normally text if she's going to be late.
00:04:23You're really going to like her you know.
00:04:25Why is that?
00:04:27I don't know.

00:09:45I feel that people like that are hiding somewhere.
00:09:54She gets me curious.
00:10:09I don't like my letters.
00:10:10Can I change them?
00:10:13Work away.
00:10:15Don't tell anyone.

00:33:18I think we just need something, you know?
00:33:20Something to get him up in the morning.
00:33:22He's got me.
00:33:23He's got you.
00:33:25We're not how he remembers us.
00:33:27That's difficult too.
00:33:30He must be going mad cooped up in the household, eh?
00:33:33Except he's not in the house.
00:33:35He's out drinking.
00:33:38I'll talk to him.
00:33:58He's got you.
00:34:09He's got you.
00:34:11He's got you.
00:34:13Thank you so much for joining us.
00:37:35Can I feel that I've left a part of me somewhere?
00:37:42There's a part of me, a part of me missing.
00:37:53I don't feel whole, I don't feel, I don't feel like I get used to it.
00:38:28They're at the corner of my eye, but there's nothing there, you know?
00:38:36Have you spoken to Emma about this?
00:38:37What am I going to say?
00:38:45She doesn't really seem to care.
00:38:49I kind of feel like I'm slowly cracking up.
00:39:00Do you remember that time I went to New York for the summer on a J1?
00:39:06I got a job working with my cousin, I got a job working with my cousin, Jem, and we were
00:39:11working for our uncle.
00:39:12And my uncle had a, not a furniture removal business, but like a business where you go in and you
00:39:18clear houses like for landlords in buildings like apartment blocks or apartments or like a house.
00:39:26And we got a job, and we got a job in the Caskills, which is about two to three hour
00:39:33drive from New York.
00:39:35We were late getting to the house, and we were greeted by this old, kind of somberly American, uptight woman.
00:39:48And she was the owner of the house.
00:39:51Her brother died in the late 70s, and her dad wouldn't let the house be sold.
00:40:00He recently died, so she wanted to offload the house.
00:40:05And the dad was obsessed with the house, and we went into the house, and the decor hadn't been changed,
00:40:11it was like walking back in time.
00:40:15It was like 70s wallpaper, and carpet, and furniture, and there was a stunk of steel cigarettes.
00:40:24Apparently the father used to come in and just sit in the house, and just sit and smoke, and you
00:40:29could see the seat where he sat, and you could see the cigarette ash.
00:40:34You could smell it.
00:40:37Well, we got straight into it, and Jem kind of assessed what needed to go in the van, and what
00:40:41could go in the skip.
00:40:42But I didn't really know what we were doing, so I just sat down and let him do it.
00:40:48He went into one of the bedrooms, and he came out, and he was white as a ghost.
00:40:54I think he was white, and he was feeling woozy, so I took him outside, and we sat down on
00:41:01the porch, and we kind of both agreed that it was like, it just felt really bad in the house,
00:41:09really bad vibes, you know.
00:41:11And so we decided we'd go and look for a B&B, and we went into the local kind of
00:41:17small town, got sidetracked by a pub, and we had about five or six beers, crack was good.
00:41:27And then when we left, we had to go back to the house, because there was no place to stay,
00:41:31so we went back to the house, and we said, you know, we came, and we had beers with us,
00:41:35and pizzas, so it was good.
00:41:36And then sat down. The TV was still working. And I went to go to the bathroom. I went in,
00:41:46and there was blood on the walls, blood on the floor, blood in the sink, blood everywhere.
00:41:54It was like a thin film of dust all over the blood. It wasn't fresh. It was like, it was
00:41:58old.
00:42:01And I freaked out. I ran out, grabbed my cousin. The two of us went in to investigate. There were
00:42:07symbols on the walls, and so the two of us, like, were in there, looking about, and you know, when
00:42:14you feel that someone's watching, and you know, it was like, it was like, you just feel that the house
00:42:19was,
00:42:22it sounds stupid. You could feel that the house was watching us. Like, there was, I don't know. We ran
00:42:27out of the house. We freaked out. Got into the van. Charged off down the road.
00:42:33We didn't want to even be near the house. We got back into the town, and the two of us
00:42:37just sat in the van. We couldn't sleep. I think because we knew we had to go back there in
00:42:42the morning.
00:42:43We went back there that morning, and Jim was saying that that was the quickest that he'd ever cleared the
00:42:49house. We just, like, out the window, everything.
00:42:53And then, we dropped the keys back to the woman. She could see in her face. She could see that
00:42:59we were, we would shook up.
00:43:02So, she explained that her brother shot himself in the house. He was a schizophrenic, obsessed with the occult, which
00:43:16is why all the symbols were on the walls.
00:43:23I keep seeing those symbols. I find a book of, of Sarah's. Those symbols were in the book.
00:43:35No, you're kidding.
00:43:38What?
00:43:39I don't know, it's stupid like it.
00:43:44Sure, are you sure that's what you saw?
00:43:46Yeah.
00:43:48I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:16I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:33I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:33I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:33I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:33I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:33I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:34I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:34I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:34I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:34I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:35I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:35I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:35I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:35I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:36I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:36I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:37I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:38I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:39I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:40I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:46I'll never forget those symbols.
00:44:48Amen.
00:45:28I don't know.
00:45:47Jo, it's alright. It's alright. It's alright. It's alright. It's alright. It's alright.
00:45:58It's alright. It's alright. It's alright. It's alright. It's alright.
00:46:23I don't know.
00:46:54I don't know.
00:47:09I don't know.
00:47:12Morning.
00:47:25Where's the room?
00:47:31I was getting ready for work.
00:47:33Why?
00:47:35Just wondering.
00:47:48You look tired.
00:47:51Why do you look nice?
00:47:55Can I get some money?
00:47:58For what?
00:48:00More drink?
00:48:02No.
00:48:03You're drinking too much, Joe.
00:48:05You're one to talk.
00:48:11Move.

00:48:20I'm fine.

00:54:02I'm awake.
00:54:03Okay.
00:54:14How are you?
00:54:16I slept on the couch.
00:54:23I'm sorry about last night.
00:54:28I've never been spoken to like that by anyone.
00:54:35I'm sorry.
00:54:39You don't have to be sorry.
00:54:40I know.
00:54:44He's my responsibility now.
00:54:46No, for God's sake.
00:54:48It's the medication, I think.
00:54:50Must be.
00:54:53I wish you could have known him before.
00:54:58You'll get back to that.
00:55:01You think?
00:55:09I know he's sorry.
00:55:12Deep down.
00:55:14Yeah, really, really deep down.
00:55:17He's so deep.
00:55:18He's not even aware of that.
00:55:20Yeah, okay.
00:55:57Or you can walk on a straight line
00:56:12I was out loud last night
00:56:14Mhm
00:56:20I said some things I should have said
00:56:26And?
00:56:29Look, I'm not happy with the situation
00:56:35Nor am I
00:56:35But you're the one that's making it a problem
00:57:01I'm not used to sharing you, am I?
00:57:12I'm not used to sharing you, am I?
00:57:15I don't know what it was, in the beginning
00:57:18Sarah was there for me
00:57:20You need to respect that
00:57:39Ask me some give and take
00:57:44She's out all the time now
00:57:46It's nearly as if she's
00:57:48Going through her
00:57:49University phase again or something
00:57:54She's kind of slowly slipping away from me
00:57:57There's nothing really I can do about it
00:58:02I said a lot of stuff that I wanted to say
00:58:05Stuff that has been
00:58:06Eaten away at me for
00:58:08Weeks
00:58:10It feels good to get it off my chest
00:58:12To get it out of me open
00:58:16I
00:58:17Kind of feel I've let Emma down
00:58:20I need to be
00:58:21The strong one again
00:58:25I need to be there for Emma
00:58:41You ready?
00:58:42I've just got to put my shoes on and then I'll be ready to go
00:58:49Do we have to go?
00:58:51What do you mean do we have to?
00:58:54I think it's raining
00:58:55It's not raining
00:58:57You got your tie on?
00:58:58I already wished David a happy birthday
00:59:00Yeah, but we still have the present to give him
00:59:04My head hurts
00:59:07Yeah?
00:59:10I took a paracetamol but it hasn't done it
00:59:19Is this about what happened the other night?
00:59:21No
00:59:25The doctor said that stuff like that might happen alright? No one blames you
00:59:30I know, I know, listen
00:59:32You go
00:59:34Give David his present and if I feel better I'll come along later
00:59:38Alright?

01:01:39Yeah.
01:01:45I didn't. I didn't go out.
01:01:48Obviously.
01:01:51Where's Emma?
01:01:55She went alone.
01:01:59Well, I just came to get my book.
01:02:04I'll be in my room if you need me.
01:02:07And a nice touch with a Ritchie Valens, by the way.
01:02:13You like Ritchie Valens?
01:02:19Yes.
01:02:22I'm impressed.
01:02:29Mm-hmm.
01:02:30Common ground, who'd have thought?
01:02:35Yeah.
01:02:38Do you want to have a seat?
01:02:42Okay.
01:02:43Here.
01:03:04Look.
01:03:05I owe you an apology.
01:03:15I've been out of order.
01:03:18I get confused.
01:03:26Emma told me about the...
01:03:30the medication and the sleepwalking.
01:03:44She also told me you were sorry.
01:03:50Yeah, I am.
01:03:56It's not my usual behaviour.
01:04:02You've been through this horrific thing.
01:04:07I get that.
01:04:11We can't keep doing this.
01:04:15Yeah, we can.
01:04:29Because I am really nice if you give me a chance.
01:04:36Yeah, Emma keeps...
01:04:38keeps telling me that.
01:04:41She's right.
01:04:45And she means a lot to me.
01:04:48Yeah.
01:04:50She means a lot to me as well.
01:04:57Well then...
01:04:58I propose a toast...
01:05:02to...
01:05:04Emma...

01:05:20I can't.
01:05:20I didn't promise anything.
01:05:22Just...
01:05:23Just take it away from me.
01:05:24I'm now bored.
01:05:25Oh, the guitar.

01:06:02What?
01:06:03I thought this is what you wanted to do.

01:07:50What do you mean she moved out?
01:07:52She moved in with some other guy.
01:07:54She said it was a last minute thing.
01:07:56Well, she never told me.
