00:10Robots are unstoppable in logistica.
00:16We actually get a chance to have a meaningful impact on the world.
00:20It's how do we formulate a harmony between man and machine.
00:26The sky is the limit actually.
01:11We have different sections, we have inbound, we have outbound, we have quality control, etc.
01:17And we plan people, we manage to deliver those volumes.
01:22But for a customer the simple thing, what is important for them is how much is coming in, how much
01:28is going out
01:29and how accurate and how efficient we are in this entire process.
02:50and can then easily help us in coping with volume spikes.
02:55We all know in Europe and all the western countries we have a shrinking workforce population
03:02because people are getting older, but the amount of orders doesn't necessarily go down.
03:07Robots are a very fine example of how to mitigate these risks in demography.
03:23Esta empresa emergente emplea a unas 140 personas.
03:53When the robot is performing, we are collecting all the metrics possible,
03:58all the readings from all the sensors, all the images of every single bin that the robot would see.
04:05And we are using this data to further train the machine learning model and further adjust.
04:12The robot can adapt to new items that are thin first time and can adapt to different shapes,
04:18different sizes and different kinds of items.
04:22The robot can have three, four, five different tools so that it can take very small items,
04:27two centimeters or very big items, five kilograms.
04:31This robot is large and the payload is very high.
04:35So the robot can in the future pick 10 kilograms, 15 kilograms items.
04:40It's a matter of developing the right tools and adjusting the system.
05:26You can see here the first iteration and you can see actually that it grips from two sides
05:32and it's very, very heavy.
05:34So that's why we progress for next iterations.
05:37And here we go.
05:39This is our final solution, which only picks from one side,
05:42which enables us to pick almost all shoeboxes on the market.
05:56You have the lid of the shoebox, the bottom of the shoebox and the item inside.
06:02And, you know, picking only the lid, for example, doesn't count of excess.
06:05You need to pick the whole item and make sure that it will stay together without separation.
06:57The robot still requires some maintenance.
07:00We're working together with our customers on educating their staff.
07:04And we've seen cases where the employees see pride in working in a more advanced,
07:10higher-tech environment rather than, you know, performing a lot of very manual tasks.
07:18The human-less warehouse is impossible.
07:22So this will never work.
07:23So there will always be human collaborators, people working in a warehouse.
07:28We might attract a different sort of people to make it attractive for them working in a warehouse.
07:33Embracing AI, embracing new technology, embracing robotics is actually, it's a necessity
07:40in order just to cope with the increasing demand.
07:44We're not necessarily replacing man with machine, but it's more about creating a harmony and moving forward.
