00:05during the park's Fantasmic show recently. This video was captured by a park-goer during
00:09the performance, and as a 45-foot-tall animatronic dragon took center stage, the storied Fire
00:14Breather caught fire itself. The Fantasmic show depicts some of the events of the Disney
00:19classic Sleeping Beauty, with the dragon being one of Maleficent's alternate forms. A bystander
00:24caught the moment on film, as what starts as a fire in the dragon's mouth quickly spreads.
00:28Moments later, the entire robot is engulfed in flames. Luckily, a moat separates park
00:33attendees from the inferno. However, on the stage where several performers and park workers
00:38were, little separated them from the fire. Park officials say they still aren't sure what
00:42caused the dragon to suddenly combust, but they have launched an investigation. It's
00:46a particular surprise, as the Fantasmic show has been running for nearly 30 years. Anaheim
00:50Fire Authority say, luckily no burns or serious injuries resulted from the ordeal. However,
00:55six workers were treated for smoke inhalation. According to park authorities, the fire was
01:00quickly under control and extinguished.
