00:11When an event has endured for nearly four decades, it must answer a simple question.
00:21Does it matter?
00:24It cannot be because of scale alone.
00:27It cannot be because of routine, and certainly not because of legacy.
00:37Platforms such as DSA and Dior, because they remain useful and relevant,
00:47they continue to provide something serious, something trusted, something difficult to replicate.
00:57And that is a place where governments, armed forces, political and security agencies, and industry leaders can meet with purpose.
01:10It is also a platform that remains open, balanced, and inclusive in its participation, where countries and companies come together
01:24on an equal footing.
01:26Today, with NETSEC Asia standing alongside it, that platform has evolved further still.
01:35It now reflects the full breadth of the modern security conversation, from defence capability to national resilience,
01:45from military systems, to public protection, from future force development, to the security of societies themselves.
01:55Ladies and gentlemen, this evolution did not happen by accident.
01:59It required vision, credibility, and above all, a strong and sustained partnership.
02:09Against a backdrop of evolving global dynamics and shifting geopolitical considerations,
02:16this year's addition has required a measured and adaptive approach.
02:21While participation patterns have naturally reflected these broader developments,
02:28we are encouraged that DSA and NETSEC Asia continues to bring together more than 1,456 countries from 63 countries.
02:39And this reflects, not only a strong and resilient turnout, but also reaffirms the continued confidence of the international defence
02:51and security community in this platform,
02:55as we carry forward our tradition of facilitating high-level engagement, business opportunities, and meaningful international collaboration.
