00:00Today and until the next Saturday, 1 of July,
00:02Gustavo Petro and his ministers will have as a seat of the government
00:05in the Department of the Agua.
00:06The day is part of the mandatario's intent to welcome a new government
00:10from the territory.
00:11This change was after the mandatario from Paris
00:14that the agudization of the climate crisis elevates the temperature
00:17to 1,5 degrees in promedio.
00:19And it would have to endure the phenomenon of India.
00:21He added that the children and children of this department
00:23are due to the lack or lack of quality of the water
00:25and that the lack of food affects gravely
00:28the economy and health of the people in Guajira.
00:30But are those only the problems that affect this region?
00:32This is the meme.
00:38The Guajira is the department in Colombia
00:40with the highest rates of the infant infant disease.
00:43With a total of 1,954 cases of agudization in menores
00:47of 5 years the last year.
00:49This year has been a scenario of almost a third
00:52of the 142 deaths of menores of 5 years
00:55in the country.
00:56This is a number of years
00:57because it is a desert
00:58where indigenous communities live in conditions
01:00very precarious,
01:01with difficulties of access to the alimentation,
01:04water and other services.
01:05This is also due to the abandonment
01:07and corruption
01:08that maintain the Guajira
01:09in the political periphery.
01:10The interest of the state
01:11for many years has been minimized.
01:13In fact,
01:13the trip to Petro
01:14and its ministries
01:15has to do with an important
01:16sentence of the Constitution
01:17that in 2017
01:18declared the state
01:20of things inconstitutional
01:21against the rights of alimentation,
01:23health and water
01:23of the communities of Guajira.
01:25What is the government
01:25is that every minister
01:26or entity required
01:28by the court
01:28comply with the compromises
01:29that it has to be
01:31for the vulnerable population.
01:32On the other hand,
01:33there is the issue of
01:33the monetary poverty.
01:34The Dane
01:35periodically
01:35published a report
01:36with the economic conditions
01:38of the Colombian
01:38definition
01:38as the line of poverty,
01:41where the poverty
01:42is,
01:43that is,
01:44that is,
01:45the poverty poverty
01:45and the extreme poverty
01:48is,
01:48that is,
01:49that is,
01:49that is not even
01:50to take their necessities
01:51or a basic diet
01:52of 1,000 calories a day.
01:54We have to take that
01:55we have to see
01:56that the Dane
01:56says that in Rio H
01:58the 56,6% of the population
02:00is found in poverty
02:01monetary,
02:02which is translated
02:02into 151,350 people
02:05and below
02:06the extreme poverty
02:07is found in 27,5%
02:10in the population,
02:11that is,
02:11more than 73,000 people.
02:13In sum,
02:13there are big differences
02:15against this region
02:15and others like Chocó
02:17not only in the national scale,
02:18but also in cities such as Bogotá or Medellín, where the monetary poverty only reaches a third of the population.
02:25So by that way, jodido.
02:27And talking about multidimensional poverty, La Guajira is not that it is very well.
02:30This is what is seen by sectors.
02:32It is to say, in access to health services, health, education, living conditions and water potable.
02:36In this aspect, the reduction of the DANE indicates that in La Guajira,
02:40the 48,7% of the population live in conditions of multidimensional poverty.
02:44Also, there are other alarming data in other aspects, such as the infant work.
02:48This is the first time that the government moves to govern from that region,
02:51where it is expected to be done with the communities and social organizations on the EU projects.
02:56But the communities in the region report that these projects do not benefit.
03:00No there is a clear light for La Guajira.
03:02There is still a plan, beyond the agenda that announced the president,
03:04that will continue in the government from the region.
03:06And you, do you think this is a good game?
03:08Do you really serve the inhabitants of La Guajira?
