00:05I give Philadelphia a lot more respect.
00:07They're a 6-1 underdog as far as you could grab Philadelphia plus 6-1.
00:12Boston, on the other side, Tom, is 9-1.
00:16I don't know if Boston loses.
00:18I don't know if even the series goes 7.
00:20But I tell you, I wouldn't be surprised if this series goes 6.
00:23You know, the Sixers and Knicks were the only teams to cover three games
00:27against Boston this year.
00:29They obviously know each other.
00:31And Bede's out, right, his appendectomy.
00:33He's not playing in this series.
00:35Boy, you talk about a team that would have, could have, should have.
00:38This Philadelphia team, boy, with Maxie and albeit an older 35-year-old,
00:43but Paul George, Edgecombe, and then you throw in Bede in there.
00:47It's like this team really could have been good, right?
00:50But that's the NBA.
00:52You got to stay healthy, and that's an issue that Bede's had.
00:55But I still say Philadelphia gives Boston a scare.
00:58I think the Celtics win.
00:59I wouldn't mind laying, you know, a game and a half.
01:02I don't think it's going to go seven.
01:04But, you know, it's one of those where, as a Celtic fan,
01:07this Philadelphia team scares me a little bit.
01:10Okay.
01:10I would – I kind of have the opposite feeling.
01:13I think the Celtics take care of business pretty cleanly.
01:15Now, we know that Embiid's out for game one to be determined for the rest of this series.
01:19So, my two favorite bets for the NBA postseason would be this – in this opening round for the Celtics.
01:25Celtics to win the series 4-0 at plus 180.
01:28These are both on DK.
01:29So, 4-0 at plus 180.
01:31And then to win the series 4-1 at plus 210.
01:34I have a position on both of them.
01:36Equal unit size on both of them.
01:38So, as long as one of these comes through, we're going to come out net positive, right?
01:42Because since we're both getting plus money on them.
01:43Now, obviously, the Celtics could end up winning the series 4-2.
01:47But, again, as I always say, if they were to lose, you know, the first bet at 4-0,
01:51I can then hedge out of them in that sixth game to win the series 4-2.
01:56So, there's different ways to, you know, skin a cat, as they say.
01:59And it really is my favorite time of the season to bet the NBA because I have multiple outs.
02:03And I could cash one of these, lose the other, and still come out net positive.
02:07I don't think the 76ers have enough to take down the Celtics,
02:12nor do I think they have enough to even keep it close.
02:14Once the Celtics get rolling, they're going to steamroll teams,
02:18especially with their three shooting, and especially the way that they play.
02:21They are 30th when it comes to pace.
02:23They want to slow the game down, be hyper-efficient on offense,
02:26and the 76ers just don't have enough to keep up with them.
02:30Yeah, Celtics, the number one under team in the NBA.
02:34You know, you generally think Celtics, I fly it up and down the court, right?
02:37But, no, 52-30 under, number one team.
02:41They're 13-3 since Tatum returned, 10-6 against the spread.
02:46So, they were playing good without him.
02:48Well, who's kidding who?
02:50But, you know, with him, obviously, they're that much better.
02:52He does seem to be completely healthy.
02:54I actually have a ticket on him, or him, the Celtics, Tom,
02:57at 30-1 at the beginning of the year.

03:01There are two tickets that I really kick myself for not doing more
03:05because I had a hunch he would play.
03:07I just, you know, if they were competitive in the Eastern Conference,
03:12especially, I said, you know, I could see this guy returning.
03:15So, I wish I had a couple more dollars on that,
03:17and then I wish I had a couple more dollars on the Colorado Avalanche,
03:19which at the beginning of the season was 9-1.
03:23I can't believe the ads were 9-1 at the beginning of the year in hockey,
03:26but I digress.
03:28But 13-3 with Tatum, 10-6 against the spread.
03:32George is 35 years old.
03:34He's got that monkey on his back, and he win.
03:36Did play well down the stretch, averaging 21 points,
03:39but he missed a whole slew of games, all but 37 games,
03:42whether it's the 25-game suspension or injuries.
03:46You know, he hasn't really played that much,
03:48but this is another team that, on paper,
03:51I'm surprised you think Boston's going to have that easy of a time.
03:56Part of the issue for me is that, you know, Edgecombe is great,
04:00but he's also a rookie, no playoff experience.
04:02When we're looking at the 76ers roster, if Maxey has an off game,
04:06if Paul George has an off game, where are the points coming from, right?
04:10If Embiid's not there to start.
04:11So when we look at the Celtics, that they're 30th in pace,
04:14and they're sitting at fourth in defensive efficiency,
04:16they're going to slow the game down.
04:18They're going to force you into bad decisions.
04:21And meanwhile, their offense is hyper-efficient,
04:23and when they get the threes rolling, not many teams can keep up with it.
04:27Even if the 76ers were fully healthy,
04:29having an off game from one or two of their players
04:32really puts them up against it.
04:34So I think the Celtics, they come out firing.
04:36I think they're going to cover the first game,
04:38and I think they take care of the series cleanly,
04:40and it's going to set up a huge matchup against the Knicks in round two.
