00:34Jimmy Fallon
00:37Hey, hey, hey, hey
00:39Hey, hey, hey
00:41Hey, hey, hey
00:43Hey, hey, hey
00:57What, what, what?
01:00Oh, my goodness. That feels good.
01:03Thank you very much, everybody. Enjoy yourself.
01:06Welcome, welcome, welcome to The Tonight Show.
01:09You're here for me. Thank you for watching.
01:14Well, guys, earlier tonight, President Trump
01:17delivered his State of the Union address.
01:19And if you didn't want to watch Trump,
01:21there was an alternate State of the Union
01:22with Bad Bunny instead, so you can...
01:30Yeah, tonight, Trump walked into the Capitol,
01:33where he saw members of the House, Senate, and Supreme Court
01:35and was like, oh, crap, is this an intervention?
01:37Yeah.
01:39Trump was greeted by the House, the Senate, and Supreme Court,
01:42and he said, wow, everyone I hate in one room.
01:44Amazing.
01:46But tonight, Trump's speech focused
01:47on his major accomplishments.
01:49And when those eight seconds were up,
01:51he just riffed for an hour and a half.
01:55It was...
02:00It was basically two hours of Trump
02:02telling us how great he is.
02:04I feel like we've been getting that State of the Union
02:06address every day since he took office.
02:08But the theme of Trump's speech was America at 250.
02:12Strong, prosperous, and respected.
02:15I'm pretty sure those words were taken off the pillows
02:17off my grandma's couch.
02:19Don't sit down there.
02:21Yeah, tonight, President Trump delivered
02:23his State of the Union address.
02:25Like it always goes, he received many applause breaks
02:27and standing ovations by his own party.
02:29And maybe it's just me, but I feel like none of the
02:32applause breaks or standing ovations ever feel real.
02:34They're always so pre-planned.
02:36You guys know what I mean?
02:41That is so kind. Thank you.
02:42But you'd only do something like that if it was earned, right?
02:49Exactly. It's not like we'd have some planned,
02:51the clapping choreography, where one side would stand up
02:54and then the other side would stand up
02:56and then the last section would stand up.
02:58You know what I'm talking about?
03:06That'd just be weird, because at the end of the day,
03:09if we forced you guys to applaud, then what is the fun in that?
03:12I mean, like, could you all imagine if we told you all
03:14to do one single clap? It'd be ridiculous.
03:20I'm glad you guys get it.
03:22All right, let's move on. Let's move on.
03:25Hey, get this. A new poll found that Americans think
03:28Trump is growing more erratic with age.
03:31Yeah. You think he's bad now?
03:32Just wait until he hits the terrible 82s.
03:35That's real right.
03:37Some news from overseas.
03:38Kim Jong-un was just re-elected as the leader of his party
03:41in North Korea.
03:43He was a real nail-biter.
03:45He couldn't decide whether to elect himself
03:46by 100% or 200%.
03:48It's like, how much do I want to win this?
03:51Yeah.
03:52Close.
03:55Well, apparently, Kim Jong-un is contemplating
03:57who he will pass the torch to.
03:59Yeah. Right now, it's between Kim Jong-Vance
04:01and Kim Jong-Rubia.
04:06Well, some TV news.
04:08The contestants for the new season of The Bachelorette
04:10were just announced.
04:11Yeah.
04:12So far, all we know about them are their names and jobs.
04:15Here's what they had to say.
04:16First, Casey said,
04:17I'm an entrepreneur who is ready to find the one.
04:21Then, Clayton said,
04:23I'm also an entrepreneur who is ready to find the one.
04:26Then, Conrad said,
04:28I'm ready to find the one and, by the way,
04:30I'm an entrepreneur.
04:32And Kevin said,
04:33I'm ready to find an entrepreneur.
04:34I'm the one.
04:37Then, Michael said,
04:38I'm an astrophysicist.
04:39If, by astro, you mean entrepreneur,
04:41and, by physicist, you mean who's ready to find the one.
04:46Then, Matt said,
04:48Entrepreneur me one who's find I ready am.
04:52And, finally, Josh said,
04:54I'm only here because I want to be on Dancing with the Stars one day.
04:59Honesty is being honest.
05:00Honesty is...
05:01Honesty, yeah.
05:05And, finally, before we move on,
05:07I'd like to take a moment to thank some of our sponsors
05:09for tonight's show.
05:11They don't always fit in the commercial breaks,
05:12and we want to make sure that we mention all of them.
05:15It's time for Tonight Show Sponsors.
05:17Here we go.
05:18Tonight Show Sponsors.
05:20Tonight Show Sponsors.
05:25Sometimes we actually work.
05:32Make the mailman carry a 65-pound bag of dog food.
05:42We managed to name a candy and include both finger and butt.
05:51Yelp, come see what a random Tammy thinks.
05:57Hoka, for running as a two-inch-taller person.
06:05Panda Express, our name sounds like we serve Panda,
06:08but, well, actually, maybe.
06:16365 Tomato Ketchup.
06:18If you really didn't want anyone to come to your barbecue,
06:20you could have just canceled.
06:27Rivian.
06:28Drive-brag your tax return.
06:33Apple Watch.
06:34Spend $300 for your wrist to tell you to go for a walk.
06:42And, finally, Cinnamon Altoids.
06:45Now your breath smells a different kind of bad.
06:49That's all for Tonight Show Sponsors.
06:51We have a great show.
06:52Courtney Cox is here tonight.
06:56Survivor host Jeff Probst is joining us.
07:02And we got great music from James Blake.
07:06Stick around.
07:07We'll be right back with Courtney Cox.
07:09Come on, we're back.
07:14I only had one set of bangs, and they were, OK.
07:19Like, micro bangs.
07:20I know, let's just look.
07:21I mean, they're very, of course it's your beautiful face.
07:25I think I can pull this off.
07:32Yeah.
07:33Oh, my God.
07:45We're good.
07:47Our first guest is a very talented actress starring in the new movie
07:51Scream 7, which is in theaters and IMAX this Friday.
07:55Please welcome Courtney Cox.
07:58Oh!
08:05That's Courtney Cox! Come on!
08:08Yes!
08:10They love you! Come on!
08:13We love you! They love you! Come on!
08:16Courtney Cox!
08:19Thank you so much for being here.
08:21I am very lucky to say that I get to hang out with you, like,
08:25once or twice every summer.
08:26That's right.
08:27With different friends that we have.
08:29I know, and I get so excited.
08:31And you're the first person I ask about.
08:33Is he going to be there?
08:35Is Nancy going to be there?
08:36I adore you.
08:36That's what we do, too.
08:37We go, is Courtney going to be there?
08:38Because you're so fun.
08:39You are so fun.
08:40And, like, we're at this place.
08:41It's kind of like a resort type of place.
08:43And I just look for you in the morning to see if you're at this.
08:45We can have coffee together.
08:46Like, yeah, let's hang out.
08:48Also, it's the karaoke.
08:50Oh.
08:50First of all, where we go, the altitude's pretty high.
08:53I cannot even breathe.
08:55And you're up there doing karaoke on the dance.
08:57Okay.
08:58No, but we both did.
09:00Yeah?
09:00I mean, yeah, we sing, we hang.
09:01We're fun.
09:03You're the most fun.
09:04I always could.
09:05I can talk to you about everything.
09:06I can talk to you about movies, music.
09:07You have great taste in music.
09:09I talk about your drumming, by the way.
09:11Because I think you're a fantastic drummer.
09:13I mean, Questlove, look out, bud.
09:15I mean, seriously, no, no, yeah.
09:16But here's just a little bit of your talent.
09:18Here's you drumming to Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.
09:20Oh.
09:28What are you talking about?
09:30Dude, you're so good.
09:32What are you talking about?
09:33I'm looking bad.
09:34You're really good.
09:35Would you ever...
09:36We always have a set of drums here.
09:38Would you ever play in front of our audience?
09:47I love that I even took a beat to say what I'm about to say.
09:53No!
09:55Like, not a chance.
09:57Not a chance.
09:57I have such performance anxiety.
09:59Really?
09:59Oh my god.
10:00Like, I love tennis.
10:02And when I was a kid, my dad used to say, all right, let's go play, hit some balls.
10:07I mean, you know, you could tell he was kind of in a hurry and he'd say, all right, all
10:10right, baby, let's go.
10:11No balls in the net.
10:13I didn't get one over the net.
10:15I can't do it with someone.
10:17Yeah, I can't do that.
10:18All right, so we'd have to do it like a secret thing.
10:20Oh, we will find time to do it.
10:22Yeah.
10:23But this you're fine with.
10:24We could just talk and be buds.
10:26Oh, no, no, yeah.
10:27You're good with this.
10:28A talk show.
10:29Yeah, no.
10:29Yeah, because they're great.
10:30They love you, yeah.
10:31But I want to mention everything that you have going on, because you just finished directing
10:37a film.
10:37Oh, God, it was the greatest thing.
10:39You weren't talking about this for years, bud.
10:41Eight years I tried to get this made, and there's been so many things that happened,
10:46but it was based on the docu-series Evil Genius on Netflix.
10:49Yes.
10:50It's just an absurd story, so I'm telling the love story and the absurdity of it, so I'm
10:55not just retelling the doc.
10:56It's with Patricia Arquette and David Harbour.
10:58It will come out someplace, because they are incredible, and I'm so proud of it.
11:04You stuck with it.
11:04I stuck with it.
11:05You've got to stick with things.
11:06Yeah.
11:07I'm so happy that you did it, because you're like, it was, I know you had it, and I think
11:11COVID then happened, and there was strikes.
11:12And all the strikes, yeah.
11:14Right, a strike, and then I'm like, no, and you're like, I'm just going to keep doing
11:16this.
11:17I couldn't give up.
11:18And good for them, Patricia and David, to do it with you.
11:20Oh, God, they're good.
11:21I mean, they're talented.
11:21Yeah.
11:22I can't wait.
11:22Evil Genius?
11:23Yeah.
11:23All right, good.
11:24I cannot wait for that.
11:24But then also, I want to talk about, you have these home products that I love called Home
11:30Court.
11:31Now, by the way, I love this.
11:32I use this.
11:33I have sent you this, yeah.
11:35I use this.
11:35We love it.
11:37But here's why I love it.
11:38Not only does it smell great, by the way, but also it looks good.
11:41And I was talking to you, I go, I think it looks good.
11:43And you go, that's why I designed it.
11:44Yeah.
11:44There are no square-shaped soap dispensers.
11:47You can't put things together.
11:49Like, this is a counter spray, but I didn't want to put something, first of all, it does
11:52smell really good.
11:53Yeah.
11:54But I, because I can smell the candle.
11:55Yeah.
11:56But I didn't want to have to always put things under my counter.
11:59When my counter doesn't have the things, this is so weird, lined up, it does, it looks
12:04empty.
12:04Like, it's, I want it to smell good.
12:06I want it to work.
12:07I want it to look good.
12:08And, um, I, it's actually, I'm really proud of it.
12:11Also, thank you for bringing me out on such a beautiful display.
12:14Nice display, right?
12:15It's almost like a very, like, Price is Right.
12:18But I want to say, is it going on its fourth year?
12:22We just, yeah.
12:24We just.
12:24Congratulations.
12:25Yeah, it's doing well.
12:26Courtney, this is massive.
12:27Yeah, it's, yeah.
12:29Home court, I love it.
12:30It's fantastic.
12:31It smells good.
12:31But let's talk about Scream 7.
12:33Uh, Scream 7.
12:36This weekend, theaters and IMAX, you're the only one who's been in every Scream movie,
12:43by the way.
12:44That's it.
12:44That's a little feather in your cap.
12:46Yeah.
12:47Not too shabby.
12:48Yep.
12:50Uh, your character in Scream 3, by the way, gets a lot of pick up on the internet because
12:54of your hair choice.
12:57Yeah.
12:58Your character went with bangs.
12:59That's right.
13:00Yeah.
13:00And, uh, was that your choice for that character?
13:03Well, I mean, the bangs were my choice.
13:06Yes.
13:07It's not the way they came out.
13:10Do you think they were?
13:10I only had one set of bangs, and they were, okay.
13:14Like, micro bangs.
13:15I know, it's just, look.
13:16I mean, they're very, of course it's your beautiful face, so you can pull off anything.
13:22No, I can't.
13:23But you, you didn't love the bangs.
13:26I mean, would you look at this?
13:27This is the worst hairdo.
13:29What are you talking about?
13:30Oh, my God.
13:30I think I can...
13:33Uh-oh.
13:34I think I can pull this off.
13:41Yeah.
13:41Oh, my God.
13:44Oh, my God.
13:47What are you talking about?
13:49You wouldn't even look twice.
13:51If you came out here and I said, ladies and gentlemen, Courtney Cox is here, and I go,
13:55Courtney, good to see you, you wouldn't even act like anything was different, right?
13:58I'm not gonna tell you.
14:01You're so cute.
14:02It's the worst you've ever looked.
14:04Don't you?
14:05What are you talking about?
14:06I mean, this is skit-worthy, but do not ever wear those out.
14:11They look as bad as this.
14:13I got an old baby out there.
14:17I like it.
14:19Wow.
14:22Let's talk about Scream 7.
14:25I'm gonna leave it on for the rest of the day.
14:27I don't know what scarier you would go to.
14:30I love it.
14:32I left them really high up, too.
14:34Oh, no, that's the...
14:36The higher up, the better it is, I think.
14:38But the lower, I could, like...
14:40That's kind of...
14:42That actually looks good.
14:43Yeah.
14:44I almost feel like a British rocker, you know?
14:46Yeah.
14:47That.
14:47This is the jam.
14:49Yeah, it is.
14:50That's where I have to leave it.
14:51Let's talk about Scream 7.
14:53Yeah.
14:53By the way, besides this wig, do things now scare you,
14:58now that you've done Scream 7 of these Scream movies?
15:00Like, do you get scared?
15:02Ghostface, I would be afraid now when you see this one,
15:05but old walls, wallpaper scares me.
15:09Paintings scare me, because there's knives coming through everything.
15:12Absolutely.
15:13You do?
15:13Well, I'm scared of everything anyway.
15:15I'm just a real jumpy person.
15:17But, um, birds, things, you name it.
15:19But, um, in Scream, like, there's one where there, you know,
15:24ghost faces under a bathroom stall.
15:26So when you go to a bathroom and, um, anywhere,
15:29I'm like, I'm just waiting to see those black boots come down,
15:33or parking lots, it doesn't matter.
15:36And this one I went to see, I just saw it the other day,
15:39and I was in a theater by myself.
15:40Well, that's weird I'm about to say with somebody.
15:42By myself with Coco, my daughter.
15:45Um, and I had to go to the bathroom.
15:47And I thought, oh, my God, I'm too scared to go to the bathroom.
15:49Yeah.
15:49And she's like, I don't want to miss the movie.
15:51And I, so we called each other.
15:53I was on the phone, and then I tried to scare her,
15:56but I was so scared, and I tried to be Ghostface,
15:58and I don't sound good doing it.
16:00It backfired.
16:00Yeah, I was like, don't go.
16:02Yeah, it didn't work at all.
16:02How many, like, do you, like, scare you?
16:04Yeah, it didn't work at all.
16:05She's like, Mom, you're so...
16:07Yeah, no, it didn't work.
16:08Uh, no spoilers.
16:10I don't want to do anything.
16:11But can we say what's happening in Scream 7?
16:14Well, Sidney Prescott is back.
16:15You have Campbell, who's fantastic.
16:17Yeah, yeah, yeah.
16:19And her daughter, and so, Isabelle May.
16:23I always get scared I'm going to say someone's name wrong,
16:25but that's, I said it right.
16:26Yes, correct.
16:27Um, she's incredible.
16:29Anyway, it's a mother-daughter relationship,
16:30and it's, um, it's a real tearjerker.
16:32No, I'm just kidding.
16:34It's, uh, it's scary and good,
16:36but there is heart.
16:37She's starting a new life with her daughter in her town,
16:40and then Ghostface comes after her.
16:42That's right.
16:43Now, Nev said something yesterday that she was like,
16:45we never know who's going to get killed off,
16:48in these movies, and I go, yeah.
16:50And I don't want you to tell me who's getting killed off.
16:52Really? Because I was told I could do that.
16:55No, you don't get to ever.
16:57No, but I'm so good that I could probably get it out of you
17:00as an interviewer without anyone even knowing.
17:03Really?
17:03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:04Like, when they do Scream 8, are you going to be in it?
17:07Oh, dude, that's smart. He's good.
17:09Uh, I don't know.
17:13Is Nev going to be in it? I love Nev.
17:17You are good. I'm this close to saying everything.
17:20But, yeah, you guys would be up. Both of you guys would be up.
17:23If they made Scream 8, you'd be up to be in it?
17:25Both of you guys?
17:25If we were alive.
17:27Yeah. Yeah.
17:28That's right.
17:29That's right.
17:29Yeah.
17:33Okay, but if they started filming and they go, yeah,
17:36and you read the script, you'd be, oh, yeah, of course.
17:38You're in it. Gail's in it.
17:40If I was able to read the script. I don't know.
17:44Uh, what?
17:45Okay, all right, good.
17:46I don't know.
17:47We're never going to know anything.
17:48But I want to show a clip.
17:49Here's Courtney Cox and Nev Campbell in Scream 7.
17:52Take a look.
17:53You have three children.
17:55Tatum being your oldest, she's 17.
17:57I'd rather not talk about my children.
17:59Tatum is the same age that you were when this whole thing started.
18:03That must have a huge significance for you.
18:05Like I said, I don't want to talk about my kids.
18:08And you named your kid Tatum after the young girl who was brutally murdered all those years ago.
18:13I named her after a childhood friend whom I loved dearly.
18:19She was the last friend I ever trusted.
18:25Sydney, do you ever worry about passing your trauma onto your children?
18:29Or even worse, yeah, that they would be the target of future killings.
18:33Oh, s***.
18:34Sydney.
18:34Okay.
18:34Gail, stop.
18:38Whoa.
18:40Courtney Cox, everybody.
18:43Scream 7 is in theaters and IMAX this Friday.
18:47Jeff Croft joins us after the break.
18:49Stick around, everybody.
18:55In honor of the big Season 50 celebration, we always happen to have a microphone here.
19:00Would you maybe want to give us a little live Survivor 50?
19:04Oh, my God.
19:04Come and get it as we go to break?
19:07Yes!
19:07With the roots?
19:08Jeff Croft!
19:19Jeff Croft!
19:20Our next guest is the five-time Emmy-winning host and producer of Survivor. Season 50 premieres
19:28tomorrow night at 8 p.m. on CBS and Paramount Plus.
19:32Please welcome Jeff Probst!
19:35Fifty seasons of Survivor.
19:40Fifty seasons of Survivor.
19:43Fifty seasons of Survivor.
19:43Come on!
19:43Fifty!
19:45Fifty seasons of Survivor.
19:47Oh!
19:47Come on!
19:49That's the one and only.
19:51That's the best.
19:52Come on!
19:53The Roots always give you such a nice, personal welcome.
19:57I didn't even pick up on the 50.
19:59They always do. They overthink everything.
20:01They're fantastic.
20:02How are you? I'm great.
20:04I cannot wait to talk to you about everything.
20:06I'm so happy you're here. Congrats, Survivor 50.
20:09Thank you. This is a big deal.
20:10I know. It is. It's good. Yeah.
20:13It's crazy. There's a lot to celebrate.
20:16I know we want to get to the book.
20:17You have a book out as well.
20:19But also, you did something that I thought was so fun and awesome.
20:22You released a song that you sing.
20:25Yes. Yes. It's called Survivor 50.
20:31Come and get it. It's a song. Yes.
20:33It's called Survivor 50. It's a rock song.
20:35Yes. It's legit. This is real deal.
20:38Well, I don't know that it's legit, but...
20:40Look at this picture of you. Oh, my God. Yep.
20:42This is on... Yeah.
20:44Okay. And...
20:45Okay. A little context.
20:48That is Wichita, Kansas.
20:50And I'm not kidding when I say that was just a Tuesday.
20:53That's what I... That's how I dressed.
20:55I was in a, like, a rock band that was terrible.
20:58But I didn't know that. No.
21:00You look so cool. Come on, with the Van Halen T-shirt.
21:02I wanted to be David Lee Roth.
21:04Yes. Who didn't? We all wanted to be.
21:05Exactly. I want to play a little bit of it.
21:07Oh, really? All right.
21:09On The Tonight Show, Survivor 50.
21:12Okay.
21:12Survivor 50, come and get it.
21:15Come and get it. Take what's yours. You want it bad. I say you gotta want it more.
21:21So come on. Come and get it. Take what's yours. You want your face in the stone.
21:27And you've got to bring the war.
21:29Yeah. Yeah.
21:30Uh, let's... I mean, come on.
21:32You're on Spotify.
21:33Okay. Here's the deal. For real.
21:35Yes. Why would you do that?
21:37It's ridiculous over the top. But I was thinking of Survivor 50 and the Super Bowl shuffle that the Chicago
21:43Bears did.
21:44Yes. For the Super Bowl. And I thought, I'm going to die one day. I want to do the things
21:48I want to do. I want to write a rock song.
21:51Yeah. So I... We recorded at Henson Studio. Now it's Chaplin Studio.
21:54Oh, of course. It's one of the most legendary rock studios, recording studios in the world.
21:59You went there to record?
21:59Yes. How fun.
22:01It was so much fun. I'm not kidding. It was one of the highlights of my life.
22:04Come on, bud. To do that, I think it's the greatest thing.
22:06Yeah. Survivor 50, come and get it on Spotify. Wherever you get your music, listen to it. It's so fun.
22:11When you're having your watch party tomorrow night, turn this on and crank it loud. You also released this book.
22:19Today it's out.
22:20Yeah. This is by you. And this is all of your...
22:26It's photos. It's pretty spectacular. Scott Duncan is our main DP on the show. And these are 1,000 photos
22:33from his 25 years. He's a day one person.
22:35And if you're a Survivor fan, it's a very visceral experience.
22:39Yeah. I know everyone. I love everybody in here. Here's one of your journals in the back.
22:44I kept a journal in the first season.
22:47We started shooting in one week. This is an unscripted, live, spontaneous experience.
22:51I will have to react to what is happening as it happens in real time. Giant monitor lizard in my
22:56room.
22:57That thing was huge. And I didn't even know what they were. But I woke up in the middle of
23:01the night and this creature is just crawling along.
23:03Yeah. I mean, you've seen everything. But also, I was going through how many people have been on Survivor. Now,
23:09contestants, there were 750.
23:11Yeah. How did you narrow down who would be on All Stars, who would be on 50?
23:14Oh, it was... We did it for about a year. We started with 200.
23:18There's so many greats. I know. And we left so many people out because we only had so many slots.
23:23Yeah. But ultimately, you just... One day you go, okay, this is the group. Had we stopped the day before,
23:29it might have been a slightly different group.
23:31But there's so many twists and turns and surprises this season. You'll see on Wednesday some previews and there's rumors.
23:40I don't know if you can say or can I say... Yes! You're in the promo.
23:43Okay, good. Yes. I'm in this season of Survivor.
23:46Yeah.
23:48I'm so excited. I'm so excited.
23:51Dude, I'm so excited to say, finally, because I kept it a secret. I'm like, am I allowed? I don't
23:56want to ruin anything.
23:56Well, here's the thing. I don't even know if I've told you this, but the theme of this season's in
24:01the hands of the fans.
24:02And they voted on a bunch of things for how the show would play out.
24:05And in the back of my mind, I thought, man, there's some really cool, famous Survivor fans.
24:09I wonder if they'd want to be a part of it. But I didn't want to ask anybody.
24:14So, Zac Brown had told me one day, he said, you know, I can't do the show, but if you
24:18ever need me for a weekend.
24:19And I sort of lodged that. Then you and I were here, and we had this little game where you
24:23said, you should be on the show.
24:24And I go, I will if you will. Yes. And we shook hands.
24:27And that night, I texted you and said, I'm holding you to it. And that's when we decided, let's have
24:32a few celebrities.
24:33So, it's you, Mr. Beast, Zac Brown, Billie Eilish.
24:37Come on. Come on. That's a good group. It's really fun.
24:41And you all bring, you all throw a different wrench into the game. It's really cool.
24:46I am so beyond honored, you know, because I told you, you know, every time I beg you to come
24:51on the show and tell me everything, just little hints.
24:53But this, guys, I'm telling you, I was so nervous about this. I don't want to tell you what the
24:58thing is or how I'm involved, but I am involved.
25:00And then you called me from Fiji. Yeah. Here's how it went down. Yes! Jimmy, can you hear me? Here's
25:06how it went down.
25:07I'm like, what is happening right now? It's so rad. Thank you for doing it. It was really, really fun.
25:12It added a great layer.
25:13I, I, but then, but also, you said, I said, if I'm going to be on, you have to be
25:17on. Yeah.
25:19And did you? I mean, I am a man of my word. I'll just leave it at that.
25:25Do you compete this year? I'll just leave it at that. That's a big, but it's enough of a tease.
25:29Jeff Probst competes in Survivor? Yeah, I do. You do? I do, yes.
25:36Wow! It was only fitting that I have talked so much smack for so many years that I finally compete,
25:42and I'm not going to say how it went. I'm only going to say, I have a lot of respect
25:46for the players.
25:49What do you want people to remember from everything that you do out there? I will quickly just say,
25:54I think you're the best to do it, the best to host any of these reality shows.
25:59Thank you. And whatever's thrown your way, you're the leader that we all look to to talk,
26:03and you go, hey guys, here's what happened. And I just feel safe seeing you.
26:08I love going to control the game and make sure it's working, make sure it's all even,
26:11make sure everyone's being heard and being taken care of. It never gets too crazy.
26:16Yeah. And I just love it. Every season's different. And there's tricks and psychological
26:23tricks to the game as well. Well, we, to your point, we wanted,
26:27we've always wanted Survivor to be a family show. It's still vicious. People play a very hard cutthroat
26:33game. But to your point, if something sensitive were to come up about race or gender or something,
26:38we talk about it because it's happening on the show, but we try to do it in a way where
26:42if you
26:42are watching as a family, you can say, what would you do if that happened? How would you two handle
26:47that? And that's kind of the idea behind Survivor is that it's this giant game. It's a human adventure.
26:53And it's real. And it's fun for everyone to watch.
26:55The greatest. I want to show a clip. Here's Jeff Probst in Survivor 50. Take a look at this.
27:00You are it. And the only thing we want in exchange for giving you this spot
27:12is everything. We want your blood. You got it, Mr. Jeff. We want your sweat. Hell yeah. We want your
27:22tears. We want it all. And when this is over, every single one of you should be able to look
27:29at
27:29yourselves and say whether I'm first out or I got to the end, I gave everything to this game.
27:34Yeah. That's how you make history. That's how you create a legacy.
27:38Yeah. Yeah. That's how you do it, bud.
27:42Before we go, in honor of the big season 50 celebration, we always happen to have a microphone
27:48here. Would you maybe want to give us a little live Survivor 50? Oh, my God.
27:53Come and get it. Have you got a break? Yes. Come on.
27:56With the roots? Jeff Probst. Oh, my. All right. Let's go.
28:05Well, they all came to play. Ain't no sheep in this path. They say, work together. You say,
28:12that's a trap. Cause there's one little question. What's real and what's not? Who's gonna get
28:18good? And who's gonna get gone? Well, the fans built the rules and they set every twist.
28:24They drop games in the jungle that you don't want to miss.
28:29Either handle this game or it will handle you.
28:33Track under pressure. Hello, deja vu.
28:37Come and get it. Take what's yours. You want it bad? I think you gotta want it more.
28:44So, come on. Come and get it. Take what's yours. You want your name to the stone? You've got to
28:51bring
28:51them on. Jeff Probst, everybody. Survivor 50 premieres tomorrow at 8 p.m. on CBS. And come on,
29:00we're gonna come to the phone with Jeff and some survivor legends after the break. Stick around. You did it,
29:05bud!
29:24Welcome back, everybody. I'm Jeff Probst, and we're about to play a game of Pictionary. But to do that,
29:29we're gonna need some contestants. Let's meet our first team. She's a cast member on Survivor,
29:35and he hosts NBC's Tonight Show. Ceree Fields and Jimmy Fallon.
29:45We got this. And their opponents. They're also cast members on Survivor. It is Ozzy Lust and Charlie Dane.
29:57Everybody knows how to play Pictionary. Thirty seconds on the clock. You each take a turn.
30:01Then you're gonna have a showdown. You'll both draw at the same time. We'll do all this. They'll be
30:05worth double points at the end. Maybe, maybe more points. May the best team win. Charlie,
30:09uh, you're gonna draw first. Does that sound good?
30:12Yeah, that's good. All right. So we have a seat?
30:13Let's do it. Let's do it. Let me take a seat.
30:16All right, Charlie, you pick any number. What number should you pick?
30:22Five. Five. I see five. Let's go. Five? Here we go.
30:30Okay. Understood. All right.
30:32Pretty confident. And go. All right. It's a person, Jeff, Jeff, Jimmy. It's a, he's a, uh, what is that?
30:42It's a tiny little leaf. Oh, it's Adam. Adam and Eve, um, naked man running beach castaway. It's a,
30:51it's a fig leaf. It's a fig leaf. It's a bikini. It's a merkin. It's a, it's a, it's a
30:57speedo.
31:00Oh, wow. Yes. Come on.
31:04Are you good? Didn't panic. That's a nice little panic.
31:07That's a nice speedo. You're down to four seconds.
31:09You're good. You're good. You're good. Oh my God. Well done. Well done.
31:13Jimmy's drawn now. All right, here we go. What number?
31:18Whoever yelled five. No, uh, he just did five. Okay. Here we go.
31:24Yeah. You got it. Got it. Yep. Okay.
31:27Uh-huh. All right. All right. I feel good.
31:31Come on. All right. I'm ready. I'm ready. Come on, partner. We got this.
31:34Jimmy! Ready? I'm ready.
31:36Okay. Here we go.
31:39It's a tall man. It's Jeff. It's, it's the idol necklace. The immunity necklace.
31:45Immunity idol. Uh, hangman. It's, uh, TV. It's a TV host. It's immunity idol on TV.
31:55It's survivor. This is not looking good. It's survivor 50. It is, uh, down to eight seconds.
32:02It's idol. It's Stevie. It's Jimmy. It's, it's both.
32:07And, no.
32:10Jimmy, what, let's just explain though. What was this intending to be up here? This part.
32:15That was the American flag. Oh, okay.
32:18Uh, that helped. That helped. No.
32:20Uh, oh, the Olympics. Yes. Olympic medal. Gold medal.
32:23Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's right. That's right. That's right.
32:26All right. Aussie. All right. That's right.
32:28You got the next one. You got the next one.
32:29Come on up. I'm drawing next. You got it.
32:31She said balls. Okay.
32:33All right. Yeah. I think I can do better.
32:34All right. You should have picked the balls first.
32:38I'm hearing ten. Ten. Ten. Ten. Ten.
32:44Now looking at it looks crazy. I'm sorry. Oh. See?
32:47Now looking at it. Okay. Good luck. Tell me when.
32:50All right. Go. 30 seconds on the clock.
32:54Triangle pyramid. Ozzy, violent survivor player.
32:58Oh, it's a martini. Oh, my God.
33:02It is. I mean.
33:05Wait. Ozzy. Ozzy can draw.
33:08That's pretty good. That's fantastic.
33:10What else could that be? I'm taking this home.
33:12This is really good. That was for you.
33:14I thought it was the Olympic rings.
33:16Okay. All right. All right.
33:18Sri, you're up. I'm up. Sri, you got this.
33:20All right. Come on. What number, guys?
33:21What number? Eight? Somebody say eight.
33:24Okay. Sri, we got this. We got this.
33:26Eight is the number. Oh, my God.
33:29Wow. Really?
33:31Looking good for Ozzy and Charlie. Maybe.
33:33Okay. Tell me when, Jeff.
33:34Gold medal. Go.
33:36Okay.
33:40He can't see. Oh, boy.
33:42Uh...
33:44Okay. Oh.
33:45How about this? Popsicle?
33:48That's it.
33:49Let's go, baby.
33:50I told you.
33:52I told you.
33:54That's a popsicle.
33:55Okay. Okay.
33:56I love it.
33:57I love it. Come on.
34:00I'm gonna make this last round worth one million points.
34:05Let's go.
34:05Okay.
34:06So, it doesn't matter what's happening.
34:09Okay. All right. All right.
34:10I like it.
34:10So, pick somebody and pick somebody to draw.
34:13Definitely you draw.
34:13I'm drawing.
34:14Definitely you draw.
34:15Okay.
34:15Who's drawing?
34:16I'm drawing.
34:17Martini?
34:17Yeah. I saw the martini.
34:19Yeah. Okay. Good.
34:19Sorry.
34:20Ozzy, you're over there.
34:21Okay.
34:21We're drawing at the same time.
34:22Yeah.
34:23Yeah. You guys are gonna draw the same clue at the same time.
34:26Whichever one of us gets it first wins the whole thing.
34:29Which number?
34:30All right.
34:33Seven.
34:33All right.
34:36Let me see.
34:36Let me see.
34:37Let me see.
34:39Okay.
