01:27Now you're able to buy Xanax from the reason you need Xanax.
01:34That's right.
01:35Trump Rx is the only pharmacy where the dosage instructions are,
01:38a lot of people are saying two.
01:41A lot of people are saying two.
01:44Well, get this.
01:44There's no that Trump plans to install a statue of Christopher Columbus
01:47at the White House.
01:50Apparently, Trump's a big fan of Columbus
01:52because 1492 is also his cholesterol.
01:54Oh.

01:59is the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

02:07And speed skater Aaron Jackson
02:09and bobsledder Frank Del Duca
02:11will be the flag bearers for Team USA.
02:14Aaron says she's thrilled,
02:15while Frank said it'll be tough to perform
02:17without three other guys pressed against him.
02:19It's like, turn.
02:21Turn.
02:23Meanwhile, I read that the women's hockey team
02:25in Finland is dealing with a norovirus outbreak.
02:27Oh.
02:28Right now, everyone in doubles luge is like,
02:30if that's true, then we're screwed.
02:32I mean...
02:35We're definitely...
02:37We definitely have it.
02:38Guys, this has been one of the coldest winters on record.
02:41But, hey, there's no reason to fret
02:43because Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
02:45Yeah.
02:46And here to help us,
02:47to show us how to celebrate during the cold
02:49is resident R&B duo Dirk and Sammy.
02:53Welcome to the show, guys!
02:55Thank you for having us, Jimmy.
02:57Peace and love.
02:58Yeah.
02:59So you guys have some romantic advice for us, correct?
03:02Oh, yeah.
03:03Not just advice.
03:05But a little song.
03:06Oh, great.
03:07Let's hear it.
03:09Hey, baby.
03:10It's looking frightful out there.
03:13What do you say we get inside
03:14and get a little freaky?
03:17It's time to get freaky in the winter.
03:21I need you to keep me warm.
03:23Don't need no heat when you're with me.
03:26So let's wait out the storm.
03:29First, I'm going to take my coat off,
03:32shake off all the snow.
03:33That's right.
03:34Then I'm going to take my scarf off
03:37and throw it on the floor.
03:39Oh, yeah.
03:40Next, I'm going to take my sweater off
03:42and the turtleneck underneath.
03:44Then my vest and my hoodie and my cardigan.
03:47And now it's time for you and me
03:49to get freaky in the winter.
03:52Hey, hey, hey, hey, guys.
03:53Sorry, sorry, sorry.
03:53Guys, that's sorry.
03:54That's...
03:54It's just...
03:56I know.
03:57It's just a lot of layers of clothing you got there.
04:00Yeah, it's cold, Jimmy.
04:01There's a feels-like of, like, minus 100 degrees outside.
04:05Yeah, I don't think it's that cold.
04:07Not when you're with us.
04:09Can we please continue with our song?
04:16Okay, go ahead.
04:22Now let's take our gloves off.
04:25Well, they're actually kind of tight.
04:27So we're going to have to bite them off.
04:30One finger at a time.
04:32Like this.
04:34Can you help?
04:35Can you help?
04:35Oh, sorry, sorry, no, no.
04:36Forget it, forget it, forget it.
04:37Can we grab mine?
04:38Guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys.
04:41Maybe this wasn't the best idea.
04:42No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Jimmy.
04:45Why?
04:45We know what we're doing.
04:46You haven't given any advice.
04:48You're just singing about wearing too many clothes.
04:50The song doesn't end like that.
04:52We promise.
04:52Yeah, will you let us finish?
04:54There's only 17 minutes left.
04:5717 minutes?
04:59Hit it.
04:59Hit it.
05:02We're back in.
05:04Let's go.
05:06Now that I got my gloves off,
05:08why don't you sit down and relax?
05:10Because I got 12 more layers on my legs
05:13and the lift up from the back.
05:15All right, that is enough.
05:16That's enough, okay?
05:17Dirk and Sammy, everybody.
05:18Cut this off me.
05:21All right, thank you.

11:04I really love you.
11:06Yeah, I know.
11:07First of all, we have some very happy news that I want to discuss here.
11:11But you want to clarify something before we get into it.
11:13I do.
11:14There's been some confusion.
11:16There's some confusion.
11:17It's going around that I, that my guy Van Hunt, I've been dating him now for almost six years.
11:22Yes.
11:23I know him.
11:23He's great.
11:24He is great, right?
11:25Yeah.
11:26There's no.
11:28Don't be jealous.
11:30Don't be jealous.
11:31No.
11:33No, he's great.
11:34We love him.
11:35He's great.
11:35Well, there's some confusion that he asked to marry me and I said no.
11:39That's...
11:39Yes!
11:40No!
11:40No, no!
11:41No, sir!
11:42Stop!
11:46Oh, my God.
11:49But that is not...
11:50No, that's not the case.
11:52I did not say no.
11:54We just don't have a date.
11:56But, of course, I said yes, I would marry him.
11:59All right, good.
12:00Come on.
12:00Yes!
12:02Dang, that's right.
12:04I'm so happy.
12:05You guys are a great couple.
12:08Security, please have that guy taking out.
12:10Thank you so much.
12:11Bye.
12:12No.
12:12I'm so happy for you.
12:13You guys are a great couple.
12:15Congratulations.
12:16He did put a little ring on it.
12:18Ooh, my little.
12:20Oh, my God.
12:22That's what I'm talking about.
12:24I'm so happy to see you.
12:26I know we talked in the past about your love of the Olympics.
12:30Yes, my God.
12:30I love the Olympics.
12:32Because you wanted to be a gymnast at one point.
12:33You were a gymnast.
12:34I was a gymnast.
12:35That's right.
12:35I was.
12:36And I thought I would be like the black Nadia Comaneci.
12:40Oh, my gosh.
12:41Yeah.
12:42Was not in my cards.
12:43No, no, not at all.
12:44But you got to carry the torch.
12:45I did.
12:45I remember that.
12:46I began.
12:47I got to run the torch.
12:48That's one of the highlights of my life.
12:52Dreaming of being an Olympian to carry the torch up the Palais steps in Cannes, France was a lot of
12:59fun.
13:00So I'm assuming you will be watching the Winter Olympics.
13:02Oh, my God.
13:02Yes.
13:03I'm going to be watching and cheering.
13:04Yes.
13:05Ice skating.
13:06That's my thing also.
13:07Really?
13:07Oh, my God.
13:08Every time I see it, I think I can do it.
13:10I know.
13:11I know.
13:12It looks so easy.
13:12It looks so nice.
13:14And me on the rink, it's so embarrassing.
13:15Oh, it's so embarrassing.
13:15Almost like holding on to the sides.
13:17It's so sad.
13:18But it was a big sports weekend for NBC because we had the Winter Olympics.
13:21Right.
13:22And then you have the Super Bowl on Sunday.
13:24Are you watching the Super Bowl, too?
13:25Of course.
13:26Yeah.
13:26Mainly for bad money.
13:28Oh, yeah!
13:30He's going to crush it!
13:32Crush it!
13:32He's going to crush it.
13:33I love that dude.
13:34He's going to get everybody dancing.
13:36Yeah.
13:36I'm so happy that he gets to do it.
13:38Every time he comes here, he has a full-on party.
13:40Yeah.
13:41He's going to do a good job.
13:41Yeah.
13:42He's going to crush it.
13:42I want to talk about your movie, Crime 101.
13:45Congratulations, by the way.
13:46And critics are raving it.
13:49Critics are saying, best movie of the year.
13:51It's you.
13:51What a cast.
13:52Chris Hemsworth.
13:53Come on.
13:54You and Chris Hemsworth in a movie?
13:55I know.
13:55Oh, he's pretty good.
13:56You know, both of you are pretty good.
13:57And Mark Ruffalo.
13:58Mark Ruffalo.
13:59Good cast.
13:59Barry Keoghan.
14:00Barry Keoghan?
14:01Nick Nolte makes an appearance.
14:03Oh, my gosh.
14:04I love this type of movie, though.
14:05This is like a good thriller, but it's also a little sexy to it as well.
14:10It is.
14:10It's a great...
14:11It's a throwback to those great movies of the past.
14:14Like, it's really adult, you know, in its way.
14:16Like, Collateral, Heat.
14:18Yes.
14:19The Thief.
14:19You know, those great movies.
14:21Yes.
14:21They have propulsive.
14:22They have action.
14:23They have great characters.
14:25L.A.
14:25It's a love letter to L.A.
14:27Yeah.
14:27You know, it's shot beautifully.
14:29Our director, Bart Layton, just, like, shot the out of it.
14:32Yeah.
14:33That was going to be the slogan for the film.
14:36They changed it last minute.
14:37But Crime 101, how do we explain what it's about and who you play?
14:41It's about Chris Hemsworth plays a high-class thief.
14:44I play a high-class insurance agent who has kind of aged out of her job because she's now
14:5353, as they call me in the movie.
14:56And Mark Ruffalo plays a cop with a heart of gold.
14:59And it's sort of like this cat and mouse chase, and we're all sort of intertwined, and we're
15:05all sort of impacting each other's future in some way, and it's action, it's exciting.
15:11And I can tell you this, when I was reading the script, I was like, this is so good, but
15:15this better end right.
15:16If this doesn't end right, I'm going to be mad.
15:18And all I have to say is, the ending is money.
15:21It is so satisfying.
15:23Yes, it is, good, yes.
15:24Ending is satisfying.
15:25Yes, it's perfect.
15:26You want it.
15:27It's exactly great.
15:29Chris Hemsworth is on the show tomorrow night.
15:32Do you have any questions for me that I should ask him?
15:35You do.
15:35I have a question.
15:37Oh, really?
15:38He is going to not like this, so I just want you to know.
15:40But I want you to do me a solid and do it.
15:42Of course I will.
15:42Please ask him this.
15:43For you, anything.
15:44Ask him to tell you why I, Storm, will not be in Doomsday.
15:54He knows the answer.
15:55I can't ask him that.
15:57Yeah, ask him that.
15:58What?
15:58Ask him that question.
16:00He knows the answer?
16:01He knows the answer.
16:01He might not be brave enough to tell you.
16:05I'm going to do it.
16:06I'm going to ask him tomorrow.
16:07He knows the answer.
16:08You're the best.
16:08I want to show a clip.
16:10Here's Halle Berry and Chris Hemsworth in Crime 101.
16:13Take a look.
16:14Well, you look like a person who has secrets.
16:18It's all right.
16:18Mm-hmm.
16:19Your shirt's new or newly pressed, which says you don't do your own laundry or you're a bit OCD.
16:25You're very groomed.
16:26Your hair, your nails, your $12,000 watch there.
16:31Everything is just a little too perfect, which tells me you have a lot of money and a lot of
16:37time on your hands, Mike.
16:39You've got the clothes, the cars, but you can't seem to look me in the eye.
16:43And I'd bet you didn't grow up with the money.
16:48How do you figure that?
16:49Because people who grow up in chaos crave order.
16:55You're talking about me, are you?
16:58Maybe both.
16:59I mean, come on!
17:02Halle Berry, everybody!
17:04Crime 101 opens in theaters February 13th.
17:08Get your tickets now.
17:08Halle and I are playing a fun game.
17:10When we come back, stick around.
17:12I was coming off a very not hot few months when I got this job.
17:21You know, when you have periods like that, right?
17:25No.
17:25Okay.
17:27I'm always just, I'm always, yeah.
17:39Everyone, welcome back.
17:41I'm here with Halle Berry.
17:42Yes!
17:45And we're about to go head to head in a reverse staring contest.
17:55Oh, yeah.
17:57The way this works is very simple.
17:58We'll both start by facing each other with our eyes closed.
18:01And our goal is to see how long we can go
18:03without opening our eyes at the same time.
18:06If we open our eyes at the same time,
18:08the clock stops and the round is over.
18:10When I say go, we'll both close our eyes
18:11and the timer will begin.
18:13Does it sound good?
18:13Yeah, but I know how we win.
18:14We just never open our eyes.
18:16All right, done.
18:16And the time just ticks by.
18:18Can we do that?
18:19It's got to be harder than you think.
18:21All right, here we go.
18:22Are you ready?
18:22Yeah.
18:23One, two, three, go.
18:25All right, here we go.
18:29All right, here we go.
18:40All right, here we go.
18:45All right, here we go.
18:46All right, here we go.
18:47All right, here we go.
18:47All right, here we go.
18:47All right, here we go.
18:48All right, here we go.
18:50All right, here we go.
18:52All right, here we go.
18:53All right, here we go.
18:55It's so fun.
18:57How do you let me laugh?
18:5923 seconds. Not bad!
19:00Not bad for a first round. Okay.
19:03Now we have a time to beat. We have a time to beat.
19:05We can do this, all right?
19:06I felt we were getting a good rhythm there, all right?
19:08This is round two, all right?
19:09When I see go, we'll close our eyes,
19:10and the timer will begin.
19:12On your mark, get set, go.
19:27Come on Jimmy!
19:28Come on Jimmy, let's do it!
19:44Come on Jimmy, let's do it!
20:04We're going for the record.
20:07Dude, we're going for the record.
20:23What did we get?
20:26Oh, my gosh.
20:27Minute 10 seconds.
20:30We crossed that.
20:31We crossed that.
20:33I struggled.
20:34Did you open a couple times?
20:36I opened a lot of times.
20:37I opened, like, twice.
20:38I was in the zone.
20:39I opened, like, 10 times.
20:40You did?
20:42Okay, we already beat the record.
20:44When we hear that Viking horn, that means that in the final round, we're going to make it more challenging,
20:49okay?
20:49We're both going to take two large mouthfuls of water.
20:54Everyone knows it takes 14 muscles.
20:56Don't look at me, though.
20:58Okay.
20:58Okay, if anything happens, we look to the future.
21:01Okay.
21:02We're not going to spit it in our show's faces, are we?
21:05Are we?
21:05No, you can't.
21:06You can't.
21:07You can do it to me, though.
21:09I would never spit in your face.
21:10Yes, you can do it.
21:10Please.
21:11I think you should.
21:13I hate you, sir.
21:19Everyone knows it takes 14 muscles to keep water in your mouth, and when your brain is concentrating
21:24on that, it will be much harder to concentrate on your blinking muscles.
21:28Oh, that's the logic.
21:30I wrote that this afternoon.
21:31All right, here we go.
21:33Three, two, one.
21:34A big one?
21:34Mm-hmm.
21:39A big one.
21:55Oh, man.
21:57Oh, man.
21:58Oh, my God.
22:30I was leaking. I was leaking.
22:33I was leaking.
22:34Are you just...
22:35No. No.
22:36Don't.
22:37Oh, my God.
22:46You're unbelievable.
22:48You went until I spit first.
22:50I love you so much.
22:51Halle Berry, everybody, the one and only.
22:53Crime 101.
22:55It's in theaters February 13th.
22:57We'll be right back with more tonight.
22:59They told me they made you do it.
23:15Our next guest is a talented actor
23:18whose new movie, Send Help,
23:20is currently number one at the box office.
23:25He also stars in an executive produced the film Twinless,
23:29which is streaming now on Hulu.
23:31Please welcome Dylan O'Brien.
23:41Oh, yeah.
23:43That's what I'm talking about. Yes!
23:46A lot of love out there for Dylan O'Brien.
23:49Whoa.
23:51Number one movie, not too shabby, bud.
23:53Yeah, thanks.
23:54Yeah, welcome to the show.
23:55Thanks for being here.
23:56By the way, I was going to tell you how great you were
23:59in the Saturday Night Live movie.
24:00Oh, thank you.
24:01Saturday night.
24:02You played Dan Aykroyd.
24:03I did.
24:04You played it very well.
24:06Thanks.
24:06Yeah.
24:08Yeah, I appreciate that.
24:10And I have a feeling, I did a little research,
24:12I think that you maybe manifested this role.
24:14Yeah.
24:15Yeah.
24:15Why?
24:16Because I found a picture of you
24:17from your third grade talent show.
24:19Yeah.
24:20There you go.
24:20That's what I'm talking about.
24:21The Blues Brothers.
24:22Yeah.
24:24What's crazy is I did a whole press store for this movie
24:28and forgot that this existed.
24:31So, like, they're always asking for stories and things,
24:33and I'm like, yeah, I got nothing.
24:34Oh, wait, I dressed like him.
24:36I literally was him, yeah.
24:37I literally was him.
24:39I know, I know.
24:39You also star in the movie Twinless,
24:42which came out a few months ago.
24:43Congratulations on that.
24:44Thanks.
24:45That movie means a lot.
24:46You recently nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.
24:48Congratulations for that.
24:49Appreciate that.
24:50You executive produced it.
24:51What goes on behind, like, producing a movie?
24:53Do you like producing as well?
24:55It's four years of hoping someone makes the job, you know?
24:59Four years?
25:00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:01Yeah, it took us four years.
25:04James Sweeney, who wrote the film,
25:06and he's in it with me, and he directed it as well,
25:09he wrote the original draft in 2015.
25:12So this was...
25:13Oh, my gosh.
25:14Yeah, this was such a long labor of...
25:15A lot of work.
25:16Yeah, yeah.
25:17Well, it's available now, streaming on Hulu,
25:18if you guys want to check it out.
25:19Yeah, please check it out.
25:20Yeah.
25:20Please.
25:21Thanks.
25:22I want to talk about Send Help.
25:24Please, yeah.
25:25It's the number one film in the country right now.
25:27It's crazy, yeah.
25:28Thanks.
25:29Not everyone can say that.
25:30No, it's crazy.
25:32You star opposite Rachel McAdams,
25:34who we love.
25:35You guys must have spent a lot of time
25:36getting to know each other?
25:37Yeah, it was just us on a beach,
25:38and I said, yeah, that's great.
25:42Like, it's just the funniest job
25:44that could come along.
25:46I was like, no one else?
25:47And they're like, no, it's just you guys on a beach.
25:49And I was like, I get her all to myself.
25:52Thanks.
25:52Yeah.
25:54You choosing that spot was incredible.
25:56Yeah.
25:59Sorry.
26:00People love you, yeah.
26:01One at a time, everyone gets to say yes.
26:03Yes, of course.
26:04They love you.
26:04Thanks.
26:05He loves you.
26:06Yeah, let's get the crowd involved.
26:07No, yeah, of course.
26:08It was a live audience.
26:09Yeah.
26:11You're jacked in this movie.
26:13You're ripped.
26:13Whoa.
26:14Yeah, yeah.
26:16Gotta say that.
26:16Yeah, well, I was coming off
26:18a very not hot few months
26:20when I got this job.
26:22You know, when you have periods like that, right?
26:26No.
26:26Okay.
26:27I'm just, I'm always just,
26:30always, yeah.
26:31Always cooking.
26:31Yeah, yeah.
26:32Of course.
26:34You had to get into shape.
26:35Yes, quite quickly.
26:36And so I was kind of,
26:38so there's this guy,
26:39it was like this TikTok,
26:40like, paparazzi guy.
26:42And I guess I came to work one day
26:43and the crew had, like,
26:44shown me this video of me.
26:46And I'm, well, I brought it if you want.
26:48It's just for training tips,
26:50if, like, you want.
26:51I have the video.
26:54Take a look at this.
26:56One.
26:56Nice.
26:57Yeah.
26:58Two.
26:58There you go.
26:59And there you go.
27:00And that's good.
27:02That's enough.
27:02Very good.
27:03Not bad.
27:03There you go.
27:04Ooh, I hurt.
27:04Ooh.
27:05Yeah, ow.
27:06Ow.
27:07Hurt a little bit.
27:08So two.
27:09Wow, that's amazing.
27:10Training.
27:11That's the two pull-up workout.
27:13I can put it on a little.
27:14The old two pumper.
27:15Check out my sub stack
27:16if you want my routine.
27:18My sub stack.
27:19Pretty humbling.
27:20How do we set up what
27:21Send Help is about?
27:22I mean, it's basically, so Rachel McAdams plays a character named Linda Little who is very
27:30very underappreciated at her corporate job.
27:33Yeah.
27:33And then I'm sort of the owner of the company's past, and I kind of take his place as the
27:39boss,
27:39and I'm not a very nice guy, and I have no plans for her in the future. The company,
27:44she's been awaiting this promotion that my dad had promised her. I'm a very mean guy.
27:48Yes.
27:48And then we get in a plane crash, and we crash on an island, and she,
27:52she's very much more equipped to survive the island than I am.
27:57So I sort of then become kind of her, you know, capti a little bit, I guess.
28:02Yeah, prisoner, you know, almost.
28:04Yeah.
28:04It's twists and turns and twists.
28:06Yeah.
28:07And then another turn.
28:08And then another twist.
28:10Yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:11And then a final twist.
28:13So you saw it.
28:14Ooh, I loved it.
28:15Are you kidding me?
28:17I didn't know where it was going to go, bud.
28:19I loved it.
28:20I want to show a clip.
28:21Here's Dylan O'Brien in Send to Help.
28:23Take a look.
28:25You know what?
28:26You think you're so smart.
28:29Well, guess who you're talking to?
28:32CEO of a next-gen 500 company, baby.
28:34That's right.
28:36A company your father built.
28:39God rest his soul.
28:43Oh, wow.
28:44Oh, wow.
28:45You know what?
28:46You're so done.
28:47Huh?
28:48Yeah, you're so fired.
28:50Oh, am I?
28:51Yeah.
28:51Oh, no.
28:55Where are you going?
28:56Wherever the f*** I want to go.
28:57Making my own camp.
28:59Oh.
28:59It's not so hard.
29:00See some leaves and some f***ing sticks.
29:03I've seen you do it enough.
29:06Well, I wish you luck.
29:08Come on.
29:09That's Dylan O'Brien, everybody.
29:11Thanks.
29:12Send Help is in theaters everywhere now.
29:15And Twinless is available on Hulu.
29:17More Tonight Show after the break.
29:19Stick around, everybody.
29:20Congratulations.
29:36Our next guest is the Oscar-nominated director, producer, co-editor, and co-writer of Marty Supreme.
29:45It is now playing in theaters.
29:47Everyone, please welcome Josh Safdie.
30:05Welcome to the show.
30:07It's great to see you.
30:08What's up, Roots?
30:09Yeah.
30:10What are you guys doing?
30:12Josh Safdie.
30:13We've got to talk about Marty Supreme.
30:14Congratulations.
30:15Well, I'll tell you why.
30:16You've got nine Oscar nominations.
30:19Nine Oscar nominations.
30:20Come on.
30:21Nine!
30:24Eleven BAFTA nominations.
30:26What?
30:28You've got a DGA nomination.
30:32And it is the highest-grossing movie in A24's history.
30:37Come on, now.
30:38That's what I'm talking about.
30:40Now, what's up?
30:41Now, what's up?
30:42Now, how do you feel?
30:44Come on, now.
30:46Marty Supreme, how does it make you feel?
30:50Oh, man, that's an impossible...
30:52It's impossible to understand.
30:53It really is.
30:54It's a crazy, surreal feeling.
30:56You know what I love about this is the attention to detail.
30:59Yeah.
30:59The streets in the 50s in New York City.
31:02The bowling alley.
31:03Yeah.
31:03I felt like I was in the pet shop.
31:06We had 100 live animals in that pet shop.
31:08Jack Fist, yeah, Jack Fist, the production designer, who's the greatest living production designer.
31:13He said...
31:14I said to him, I want it to smell like a pet shop, and I want it to sound like
31:17a pet shop.
31:18And you did.
31:19You felt...
31:19When you walked in, you felt like you were in a pet shop.
31:21And it was special.
31:22I mean, he...
31:23I said to Jack, when I wanted to do the film, I said, I want you to create a time
31:29machine,
31:29because this is not a period film.
31:31It's a contemporary movie that I shot in 1952.
31:34Wow.
31:34That's the vibe of the movie.
31:36I got to work with Cameron Crowe on this movie I did a long time ago, and his attention to
31:41detail,
31:41everything.
31:42And everyone had a backstory, like you did with your actors.
31:45Everyone had a backstory, knew what they were doing.
31:48You had a backstory for your character.
31:49I love that film.
31:51That's an amazing film.
31:52Has anybody here seen Almost Famous?
31:53Yeah.
31:56That's one of my favorite films.
31:57I actually skipped school to see that movie, the 11 a.m. showing.
32:01I went with my mom.
32:02She wanted to see it, too.
32:03And we went, and I saw it, and I love Cameron Crowe.
32:06Yeah.
32:06Of all of his work, going back to Fast Times, and you're amazing in that film.
32:10No, it's great.
32:11You're unbelievable.
32:12Actually, we have a picture here.
32:15A picture here.
32:16What?
32:17Yeah.
32:17We have a picture here.
32:18Yeah, that's me.
32:19Yeah.
32:20That's me in the movie, yeah.
32:22Thank you very much.
32:24Yeah, I remember that.
32:26Yeah.
32:26That was great.
32:27So, the look, the costume, like, how did you and Cameron develop something like this?
32:33The look here.
32:34Yeah, no, I just...
32:36Like, did you, were you in the wardrobe department picking out the...
32:39Yeah, I was in there, and I grew a beard, and I grew my hair out, and it was...
32:42So, it was your decision to do the hair, not his?
32:45No, he just told me to grow it out, and kind of went for it, yeah, and went for that
32:48look,
32:48and it was, yeah, it was interesting, yeah.
32:50Well, I loved it.
32:52It felt like it was in the 70s.
32:53Oh, I mean, there's, you know, you're a music...
32:56You play a music executive in the movie.
32:58Yeah.
32:58And you're a musician.
32:59I actually love Idiot Boyfriend.
33:01It's a great song.
33:02Great song.
33:03I appreciate that, yeah.
33:03I'm an idiot, and I'm your boyfriend.
33:05Yeah, yeah, that's cool.
33:07So, you must have known a lot.
33:08Like, you were able to...
33:09You probably had a lot of horrible exchanges with music executives, so you were able to
33:13bring that to the role, right?
33:15Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I did, but we used that in the film to, you know, to kind
33:21of make it more real.
33:23Yeah, exactly.
33:24I have to say, without ruining the movie, right?
33:27Without ruining the movie.
33:36Without ruining the movie, it came out.
33:39So, without ruining the movie.
33:40Yeah, it was so much fun.
33:41You know, which is a great film.
33:42Towards the end of the movie, your guys are on a private plane.
33:45Yeah, yeah.
33:46And everyone's kind of admitting to these horrible things they've done in the past.
33:53Yeah, yeah, we didn't think we could pull it off.
33:55And I imagine that wasn't a real private plane, right?
33:58Turns out you're right.
33:59It was not a real private plane.
34:00It was on a set, and there was a gimbal there, and they actually had the cast leave so that
34:05I could record my lines, because we were all laughing.
34:07Seriously?
34:07Yes, that's true.
34:08Wow, that's amazing.
34:09Because it's...
34:09Well, again, I don't want to ruin it, but we do have a clip.
34:13Okay.
34:14We do have a clip.
34:17Everybody, here's...
34:20Here's...
34:20Yeah.
34:21He's very good in the film.
34:22The film is incredible.
34:23The attention to detail in this movie is unbelievable.
34:26Uh, in this clip, uh, in Almost Famous, which was released in theaters on September 15th
34:33in 2000, uh, it's actually now streaming on Paramount+.
34:38And, uh, let's take a look.
34:39Let's take a look.
34:40I once hit him, man, in Dearborn.
34:42Hey, stop it!
34:43Hit and run.
34:44I hit him.
34:46Kept on going.
34:46All right, stop it.
34:47That's good.
34:47Thank you so much.
34:48What is happening?
34:49No, go.
34:50Go back.
34:50Okay.
34:51What happened?
34:52How did I lose control of my own show?
34:55I was talking...
34:56You give me that photo of me, please.
34:57We were talking about Marty Supreme.
34:59It's a great film.
35:01Uh, congratulations again.
35:03We have a clip.
35:04Uh, here's Timothee Chalamet in Josh Safdieu's movie, Marty Supreme.
35:08Take a look.
35:08I mean, look at the...
35:09Look at your business success.
35:11That's in your DNA.
35:12And you passed that through to Dion.
35:13It just hasn't been awoken yet.
35:14I don't know.
35:15I...
35:15I wouldn't be here trying to involve you in something that I didn't fully, in my bones, believe in.
35:19And I have tremendous respect for your money.
35:21And I know it's hard to believe, but I'm telling you, this game, it fills stadiums overseas.
35:25And it's only a matter of time before it fills stadiums in the United States, too,
35:28before I'm staring at you from the cover of a Wheaties box.
35:31Oh, God.
35:34Josh Safdieu, everybody!
35:35Marty Supreme is playing now!
35:37Wait, wait, wait.
35:38What?
35:39Almost Famous is streaming.
35:41Oh, my God.
35:41Marty Supreme is playing now, and here's De La Soul is performing for us after the break.
35:47Stick around.
35:47Let's do it now.
35:49Let's do it now.
35:51Never want to hear.
35:55Never want to hear.
36:04Performing Different World from their album, Cabin in the Sky, featuring Gina Loring and The Roots.
36:11Please welcome De La Soul.
36:18Once upon a style of speak from the Isle of Amity, three plugs intertwined, pulsing with
36:24the soul.
36:25They ignited sparks of inspiration, a symphony of dreams reflecting humanity's heartbeat.
36:31But fate shifted its tune, and a dove ascended to the cabin in the sky.
36:36Yet in a different world, the big brother beat remains forever.
36:39A thread unbroken, no thoughts unspoken, woven through time, a tapestry of emotion.
36:46Thank you, Dave.
36:48Thank you, Dave.
36:50The world around I see, and only shades of gray.
36:54Get up!
36:55But when the love light drowns upon my face, I'm in a different world.
37:02A world I ever knew.
37:04I'm in a different world.
37:07A world so sweet and true.
37:10I'm in a different world.
37:12I'm in a different.
37:14I'm in a different world.
37:21There was a time when my mind was so, caught up in the vine that the grind was so, in
37:27my
37:27face.
37:27But now I'm in a place where the taste for the grit is no longer what I'm craving.
37:32I'm testing life when the grades is up.
37:34The hue is bright when no shades is up.
37:37And I don't mean what sense of porn Dwayne Wayne is, but the dark dark of my baby is.
37:42A book behind me on what made.
37:44Free spirit residing where the grit lay.
37:47A hippie at heart and life's ready, so I keep my smile steady.
37:51The negativity out of my focus.
37:53No longer at heart's feeling hard and light.
37:55Reading the song with the cards in life.
37:58Blessed to be intact and change and have an insight to aim.
38:01I'm in a different world, a world I never knew.
38:07I'm in a different world, a world so sweet and true.
38:12I'm in a different world, I'm in a different, I'm in a different world.
38:24Gravity would have us walk heavy, but we who read the wind know the freedom of levity.
38:29We live in the now moment when the beat drops.
38:32We march to the beatbox of our own frequency, field of light, ascension.
38:37Where friends become ancestors, ancestors become friends.
38:41We in a different world where the connection track sends.
38:44It's hard for me to cry because I'm thankful.
38:47You're right beside us, we're pertainful.
38:50I'm steering us through, right and left turns.
38:52What we earn is another angle on the side.
38:55But is it too hard for me to cry?
38:57Because we hold too much in the lie to ourselves.
39:01Saying we are strong and wrong and being selfish and wishing you had never died.
39:05It's like I lost a limb to gain the wind.
39:08But Mason, I would rather be whole.
39:10I know you are providing us with warmth, but I'd rather you here with us fighting and being whole.
39:15Us arguing and mad at each other.
39:18Better than us to not have each other.
39:21But all I can do is bite my lip and be blessed to have you steering the ship.
39:24I'm in a different world, a world I never knew.
39:30I'm in a different world, a world so sweet and true.
39:35I'm in a different world, I'm in a different, I'm in a different world.
39:46I'm in a different world, a world so sweet and true.
39:46I'm in a different world, a world so sweet and true.
39:47Let's give, y'all.
39:50Let's live, y'all.
39:52Let's give, y'all.
40:03Let's give, y'all.
