Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reiterated that schoolchildren should be taught to take responsibility for keeping their schools clean, including cleaning toilets, as a way to instil discipline and reduce perceptions of class divisions in society.

He said students, regardless of background, must learn to respect all forms of work and recognise that cleanliness is a shared responsibility.

Anwar also urged parents to support the initiative, stressing the importance of teaching children not to look down on cleaning tasks and to value all types of work.
