A man has been arrested and is set to be remanded after allegedly peeping on a woman through a dismantled ceiling panel at the LRT Sentul station toilet.

The victim screamed for help after seeing the man peering down at her from above her cubicle.

00:10In a video posted on TikTok, the victim said she had stopped to use the public restroom
00:15at the LRT Central Station on Thursday morning.
00:19While inside, she saw a man peering down at her from above her cubicle.
00:23It's believed that he had removed part of the ceiling panel to commit the disturbing act.
00:28The shocked victim immediately screamed for help.
00:32The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended by auxiliary police outside the toilet.
00:38Central District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Basri Sagoni told Malay news portal Cosmo
00:44that the suspect will be brought before the court on Friday for a remand order.
00:49The case is expected to be investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code
00:54for insulting the modesty of a person,
00:56which is punishable by up to five years in prison,
00:59a fine or both.
