00:00The American people have been very clear.
00:03We stand with and we have stood with Bahrain and the rest of the people of the Gulf and
00:10our allies in the Middle East during this time of reckoning.
00:16Unfortunately, Russia and China have chosen to oppose them, even as Iranian missiles rained
00:23down on Gulf cities and civilian infrastructure.
00:28Colleagues, the decision of Russia and China to veto a draft resolution that sought to
00:34protect freedom of navigation and maritime security in and around the Strait of Hormuz
00:41was truly unfortunate.
00:44They deliberately chose to turn a blind eye and worse, chose to permit Iran's attacks on
00:50its neighbors, its terror against its own people and its death grip that it's attempting
00:55to place on the global economy.
