00:00Everyone harassing all the karyakartas of NDA, all the leaders, more than 90% of the social media abuse were
00:11directed to women, are characters assassins, body shamed, used filthy language on us and also are images marked.
00:26The constitutional bill that has been taken place, I am representing from Telvudesham Party, sir, and every woman carries energy
00:36within her.
00:38So the strength of Ma Durga, wisdom of Ma Saraswati and abundance of Ma Lakshmi.
00:44And today with this bill, our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has awakened every goddess in our women and
00:54also it is true that he has given freedom to lead the nation and also in a true and very
01:03meaningful way.
01:04Sir, I am representing Telvudesham Party in this parliament.
01:10The very birth of our party was in a very crucial time.
01:15A time when poverty and also corruption was at its peak and three and a half decades of misrule.
01:23And after this, it was only Nandamurit Taraka Rama Ravgaru who rose his voice in the centre and also in
01:33the state, sir.
01:34And after this, the very first speech, political speech, he has said that in a country that is ruled by
01:44the women prime minister,
01:45is it not a disgrace for women not to be safe in this country?
01:51Sir, this was not a question, but it was a protest, beginning of a protest to realise the vision of
02:01women-led development.
02:02This is the legacy of Telvudesham Party, a party that lived for women and a party that calls every woman
02:12Aadapadachu, that means sisters,
02:14and a party that always honoured and respected women.
02:19And, sir, this women empowerment, TDP has never seen it as a welfare policy, but always seen for the betterment
02:28of society.
02:29And the vision of Nandamurit Taraka Rama Ravgaru and our Honourable Chief Minister, Chandrabah Bunaidu Gairu,
02:37allies with the vision of this bill that would convert ordinary Nari to Narayan.
02:45And the reforms that Nandamurit Taraka Rama Ravgaru brought in in the early 1980s were now the templates for the
02:56national policy
02:57that has been taking place from the decades and also days.
03:00One of the historic decisions that the Telgudesham Party has taken place, when country was debating still about the BC
03:09reservation,
03:10it was the first party to announce 30% women reservation in all government jobs and also the local body
03:18elections.
03:19This has liberated women and also this has given them freedom and given a special place in our society.
03:26And another important decision that the Telgudesham Party took was to decide on the MND, Hindu Succession Act, 1956,
03:39where every woman had equal rights, paternal rights, in the paternal property.
03:45And so one of the very important administrative decisions that took place during the 1980s was the Assigned Land Act,
03:56where all the government-assigned lands were registered under the name of women.
04:02And this has promoted ownership, it has also promoted economic independence to them,
04:08and also the domestic violence has come down.
04:10And those were the days when women wanted to pursue education, higher education,
04:16but then they were taunted and they were asked to get married and have kids.
04:22And it was N.T. Ramaravgaru who has established the first Mahila University in Tirupati,
04:29that is Sri Padmavati Vishwavidyalayam.
04:32And here women could stand on their own legs,
04:36and most of the women of that generation now are the successful women and are the products of this university.
04:43And we were far ahead of the fast-track courts to give safe environment and non-threatening environment to the
04:52women.
04:53We were the first party to establish Mahila courts and to give speedy justice
04:58and also give proper justice to women in a proper way.
05:04And, sir, another important decision was the Dwakra policy that was the national policy,
05:14which started in 50 districts.
05:16Under the leadership of our Honourable Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidugairu,
05:21the only state that was successful in the entire country in the Dwakra program was Andhra Pradesh.
05:27And I am proud to say that the Dwakra group from my constituency in Orwakal is the biggest Dwakra group.
05:35And United Nations has come, the team of them has come to visit our group just to study the success
05:41of this Dwakra group.
05:43And also, sir, when women were not even allowed to go buy groceries,
05:49women, the Dwakra group in our constituency travelled from Kashmir to Kanyakumari just to train the women of other states.
05:59And I am proud to say that Andhra Pradesh stands first in highest self-help groups.
06:05And also, it covers more than 90.75 rural population.
06:10And we have about 8.17 self-help groups.
06:13And also, it stands first in the lakhpati didis in the entire country,
06:18where we have about 13.65 lakh lakh lakhpati didis.
06:23And, sir, our Honourable Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidugairu's vision,
06:29which is one entrepreneur, one household.
06:33And he has given us a target that within two years,
06:36we have to achieve one lakh entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs.
06:40But we have already surpassed this target of 1.1 lakh women entrepreneurs establishing MSMEs.
06:48And our motto, Telgudesham party's motto was,
06:53Prajale Devurdu, that means, people are God to us.
06:57And also, the responsibility of Telgudesham party is,
07:01Prajale Vardake Palana, which means,
07:05welfare to the governance, to the doorstep.
07:08And, sir, this is an example where,
07:11every month on 1st, our Honourable Chief Minister,
07:15along with all the elected representatives in Karyakarta,
07:18visit the households of our BPL,
07:22especially the BPL, and also different welfare schemes are distributed,
07:28especially the pensions.
07:29This is the greatness of our party.
07:32And also, sir, the main reason why we have been,
07:37after giving economic independence to women was,
07:41the political empowerment was not alone.
07:45It is not enough.
07:46And with this, economic independence and economic strength also should be given.
07:51And today, our women, from especially Andhra Pradesh,
07:54are ready to lead the nation,
07:56and from grassroot level to the national level.
08:00And also, sir,
08:03due to various welfare schemes
08:05that we have been taking place,
08:07such as Deepam Patakam,
08:09like, otherwise,
08:10there are many schemes,
08:12Sri Shakti program,
08:14there are many schemes
08:16that are useful for women
08:17in our state.
08:19And, sir,
08:21five years,
08:22on the contrary,
08:24five years
08:25of YSRCP rule
08:28was the dark days
08:30for the entire women
08:31of our state.
08:33Forty-five handles,
08:35forty individuals,
08:38all in a very close
08:40acquaintances of
08:41ex-Chief Minister.
08:44Everyone
08:45harassing
08:46all the Karyakartas of NDA,
08:48all the leaders.
08:51More than 90 percent
08:52the social media abuse
08:55were directed to
08:56women,
08:59our
08:59characters
09:00assassins,
09:02body shamed,
09:04our
09:04used filthy language
09:06on us,
09:07and also
09:08our images
09:09morphed.
09:11Our
09:11very own
09:12Honorable
09:13Chief Minister's
09:14wife
09:14was
09:17the target,
09:18and our
09:19Deputy Chief Minister's
09:21daughters,
09:22who were just
09:2214, 15 years old,
09:24were abused
09:25in social media,
09:26and our
09:27Home Minister,
09:28Anita Garu,
09:29who is sitting
09:30in the gallery
09:30and watching this,
09:32was abused
09:33to such an extent
09:34that she was
09:35the only lady
09:36who has given
09:37strength to
09:38all the ladies
09:39in the state.
09:40and so,
09:42the party
09:43which did not
09:45care,
09:46which did not
09:47share space
09:48with women,
09:49a party that
09:50humiliated women,
09:51and a person,
09:53our
09:53then
09:54ex-Chief Minister,
09:55who did not
09:56protect women
09:57in the state,
09:58or who did not
09:59even
10:00stop the social
10:01media abuse,
10:02neither he
10:03or his party
10:04leaders
10:05have any
10:06moral authority
10:07to even talk
10:08about this
10:09women empowerment
10:10or this bill,
10:11sir.
10:12And the
10:13story of
10:14women empowerment,
10:15it is not
10:16a story
10:18because of
10:19the lack
10:20of intent,
10:21but it is
10:22because of
10:22delay,
10:23which was
10:23introduced
10:24in 1996,
10:26which was
10:27discussed,
10:28debated,
10:28and then
10:29again referred
10:30to the
10:31committees,
10:31reintroduced,
10:32and again
10:32lapsed.
10:33It was
10:34only in
10:352023,
10:35when the
10:37nation
10:37witnessed
10:38not just
10:39the passage
10:40of the
10:40bill,
10:41but it
10:41was the
10:43decisive
10:43correction.
10:44It was
10:45the women
10:45empowerment
10:46was delivered,
10:48just not
10:49debated.
10:50And,
10:50sir,
10:51they had
10:52a very
10:52clear vision
10:55that
10:56political
10:57empowerment
10:58cannot be
10:59isolated,
11:00the political
11:01empowerment
11:02cannot be
11:03achieved
11:04alone.
11:04So,
11:05this is
11:06where
11:06they have
11:07planned it
11:08in such
11:09a way
11:09that we
11:10women
11:10are not
11:11just
11:12ready to
11:13raise the
11:14voice,
11:14but are
11:15economically
11:15strengthened
11:16and are
11:17supported
11:17institutionally.
11:19And also,
11:20sir,
11:21through various
11:21initiatives,
11:22such as
11:23Sachakti
11:24Netri
11:24Abiyan,
11:25about
11:267 lakh
11:27already elected
11:28representatives
11:29are ready
11:30to face
11:31the challenges.
11:32and today
11:33about
11:35women
11:35oriented
11:37panchayats,
11:38about
11:39744
11:39are in
11:40place.
11:41And other
11:42initiatives,
11:42such as
11:43panchayat to
11:44parliament,
11:45where women
11:46are equipped,
11:47they are
11:47confident,
11:48and they
11:49are also
11:49trained
11:51to face
11:52the challenges
11:53and lead
11:53the nation.
11:54And I
11:56should
11:56appreciate
11:57the NDA
11:57government
11:58that all
11:59the national
12:00policies,
12:01more than
12:0160 to 80
12:02percent are
12:03women
12:03beneficiaries,
12:04and this
12:05is where
12:05we are
12:06economically
12:07strengthened.
12:09And,
12:09sir,
12:10to conclude
12:10my speech,
12:13it is,
12:14I can
12:15tell a few
12:16words,
12:16sir,
12:17gone are
12:18the days
12:18when we
12:19were defined
12:19by confinement,
12:21silence,
12:22or even
12:23dependency.
12:24Gone are
12:25the days
12:25when our
12:27roles were
12:27restricted only
12:28to wife
12:29or daughter
12:30or mother.
12:32Gone are
12:33the days
12:33when the
12:35nation was
12:35talking about
12:36women development.
12:38But here
12:38comes the
12:39days when
12:39nation is
12:40talking about
12:41women-led
12:41development,
12:42and the
12:43nation is
12:44giving us
12:45a chance
12:46to compete
12:47with the
12:48nation,
12:49and also
12:50giving us
12:51a chance
12:51to lead
12:52the nation
12:53in a
12:53rightful
12:53way.
12:54And as
12:55women shine,
12:57the nation
12:57rises.
12:58And,
12:59sir,
12:59I would
12:59like to
12:59thank our
13:01Honorable
13:01Prime Minister
13:02Narendra
13:03Modi-ji,
13:04and especially
13:04from every
13:05women-elected
13:06representative
13:07from my
13:08state,
13:09and also
13:10the Mahila
13:10MLAs,
13:11and also
13:12chairmen's
13:13who have
13:13come just
13:14to witness
13:15all the way,
13:16and sitting
13:16in the
13:16gallery and
13:17watching this
13:18historic
13:18moment.
13:19would like
13:20to thank
13:20our
13:20Honorable
13:21Prime Minister
13:21to get
13:23this
13:24important
13:25bill and
13:26change our
13:26lives.
13:27Bharat Mataki.
