Philippine President Marcos launched the "Biyayang Bigas" program in the City of Manila on Thursday, April 16. The program's inauguration was held at SM City Manila, together with the City of Manila Local Government Unit. Thousands of Manila workers received 10 kilos of rice each as part of the government’s assistance program. The initiative aims to help ease the burden of residents affected by rising commodity prices.
