00:00Does this year's playoff run define Cat's legacy as a Knick?
00:04There's perhaps no more pressure on any Knicks player than Carl Anthony Towns,
00:08and he might be the biggest determinant of how easily they handle the Hawks in this first round,
00:13and the biggest determinant if they make the conference finals,
00:16if they reach James Dolan's mandate to make the finals.
00:18And you might say, well, Jalen Brunson's the best player. It just comes down to him.
00:21We kind of know what Jalen Brunson is. We kind of know what his performance is.
00:24We know he's going to get his points. We know he's going to set up the offense.
00:27We kind of know what he is. Mike Brown set the hierarchy.
00:30It was Jalen Brunson one, Carl Anthony Towns two, everybody else after that.
00:35Carl Anthony Towns has to be the two there in that situation.
00:38It's been a theme all year that he said he was adjusting to Mike Brown's offense.
00:42Mike Brown was adjusting to him, and the question was,
00:45are we going to see the best version of Cat, the all-NBA version of Cat, when it matters most?
00:50It's absolutely defining for Cat because it's defining for this core as a whole,
00:54and he's one of the big pieces of this core. And if the Knicks fall short in this playoffs,
00:59everything's on the table about who could be moved in the offseason or who could be back.
01:03Certainly, he's one of those guys. So certainly, this is defining for his Knicks legacy.
