00:08The Financial Times alleges that the satellite, acquired in late 2024 by Iran's Revolutionary Guard,
00:14was used to monitor key U.S. sites ahead of drone and missile strikes.
00:21Citing leaked Iranian military documents, the T-01B satellite was built and launched by Chinese company Earth Eye and acquired
00:31by the IRGC's aerospace force.
00:33The report says the satellite captured images of targets, including Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, just days before
00:42attacks were confirmed.
00:43Iranian commanders are said to have used coordinates, satellite imagery and orbital data to plan the strikes.
00:50As part of the deal, Iran also gained access to a network of commercial ground stations operated by a Beijing
00:57-based company.
00:58The White House has not commented directly, but President Donald Trump has warned China would face big problems if it
01:04provided military support to Iran.
