Can you really break out of a high-security prison using nothing but a bowl of soup? Believe it or not, Yoshie Shiratori did exactly that.
​Known as the "showa-era escape artist," Shiratori managed to break out of four different Japanese prisons over the course of a decade. His most famous feat involved using the salt from his daily miso soup to slowly corrode the metal hinges of his cell's food slot.
