00:31This legacy is now being revisited in Tashkent, where more than 300 participants from over 20 countries have gathered for
00:40an international conference on the Timurid era,
00:43marking the 690th anniversary of Amur Timur in initiative of President Shavkiyat Mirziyayev.
00:49He sent greetings to delegates and also visited the newly reconstructed Amur Timur Museum.
00:55Amur Timur is known worldly as a military leader, as a political leader,
01:02but not many people know the legacy that he left in the so-called Timurid era in terms of the
01:13scientific development.
01:14So basically, we are talking about a whole reign and a whole period of scientific excellence.
01:21Hosted at the Islamic Civilization Center, the conference brought together historians, researchers and cultural figures, reflecting the growing international interest
01:32in the period.
01:33We knew of it in the medieval times, but now we see that we need that renaissance and the new
01:40understanding and the new knowledge that is coming together.
01:42And this is why the Timurid conference is the right place to be and the right place to hear all
01:46of this.
01:47Alongside academic discussions, the program featured exhibitions and cultural presentations reflecting the richness of the Timurid legacy.
