Sir Keir Starmer welcomed Dutch prime minister Rob Jetten to Downing Street, where the pair discussed the situation in the Middle East in what was their third conversation amid the current global turmoil.

00:12your first visit as Prime Minister and so soon into your premiership. I'm really
00:18pleased you're here today because I think we can have a discussion about the
00:23straight-up from Ouz and the ceasefire in Iran that we desperately need to extend
00:28and getting straight-up from Ouz for the open and of course the ongoing situation in Ukraine
00:34and thank you so much for your clear and early leadership and support.
00:38It was very fruitful and I'm very thankful for your leadership in terms of international
00:43security I think what the work that you've been doing for Ukraine and for European security
00:48is crucial and happy that we're now working together to make sure that we get a ceasefire
00:53permanent ceasefire in the Middle East and that our countries can play a vital role in protecting
00:58freedom of navigation which is crucial for the world's economy and also for many countries
01:04not only in India but also in the global South.
