00:22It's the most outstanding car
00:24we've made over the almost past 50 years.
00:27It's a completely new expressive luxury that it shows.
00:31And of course, it will attract new customers to the brand.
00:34The Concept X M shows something where BMW is very strong in.
00:39We introduced and invented, actually, this whole segment.
00:42It's a pinnacle product for BMW, but also for M,
00:46because it's a standalone product for M,
00:48but now in a completely new segment.
00:50It's an expressive luxury,
00:53addressing to people who live in a very expressive lifestyle.
01:02We started with iconic cars like the BMW Turbo,
01:06and from that derived then the iconic BMW M1,
01:11being the first ever pure M.
01:14Details like the double BMW logo that were on the M1,
01:19you can also find on the Concept XM.
01:22In the glass, it's milled and gives a two-dimensional
01:26and more digital feel to it.
01:37It's a very raw, massive, monolithic appearance.
01:43You see the signature or the typical BMW icon, the kidney, at night.
01:49Really, there is a BMW coming,
01:51and this in combination with this really slim double headlights
01:54is something very special.
01:56What is also very important for every M car
01:59is the layout of our exhaust pipes,
02:04because it's very typical for BMW M to have these four exhaust pipes,
02:08always two on each side.
02:11Though we made it as the car needs more presence
02:14and to be more vertical,
02:16we aligned them in a vertical way and also not round.
02:19They bring a very nice signature to the back.
02:21You can get the full performance coming out of two hearts,
02:27the combustion engine and the electric engine.
02:30On the other hand, of course, you can also switch to electric only,
02:35giving you the possibility to drive up to 80 kilometers purely electric.
02:41If you don't drive electric, by the way,
02:44we have a V8 in that car,
02:46so it's a power hybrid with up to 750 horsepower and 1,000 newton meters.
02:52We have a combination which doesn't exist on the market like this,
02:56because each car on the market is always interior, exterior,
02:59tells the same story.
03:01And here we combine really this presence of a raw diamond,
03:06and in the interior, in the back,
03:08we find a cozy hideaway.
03:10It's really this indulgence of velvet,
03:13which is material which you know is from king's chairs.
03:17So something which is very luxurious.
03:19You wouldn't immediately combine it with a high-performance car.
03:23We extended the design experience to the roof,
03:27which creates an atmosphere like also in a cathedral,
03:31where you have a very nice sculpture
03:33and creates really an experience which you don't know from any car.
03:40We used leather, which has a certain patina,
03:44so it's like in a cigar lounge.
03:45It has also this Grabelle touch.
03:49Of course, we have a curved display, driver-oriented, on the front seat.
03:54So what you see on the displays, that also derives from racing.
03:57So it's focused on the main things you need while driving,
04:01especially while driving fast.
04:03Normally, you do a concept as a pre-communication
04:06after you've finished your final car.
04:09This concept we showed to the board,
04:12and they liked it so much that out of this,
04:15we made the real car.
04:17And so what we show now
04:19is actually the original idea of this whole product.
04:24We will start series production by the end of 2022.
04:29For BMW M, this is the first ever electrified high-performance vehicle.
04:37So it is really important
04:40and bringing us into the age of electrification.
