00:00Xiaomi dropped three new phones at NWC, the 17, 17 Ultra, and the Lights phone in collaboration
00:05with Leica.
00:06Now, the standout for me here is the latter.
00:08It packs a lot of the same hardware as the flagship series, but this premium, gorgeously
00:12designed phone is a real luxury piece for photography fans.
00:16It's equipped with a large 50-megapixel, 1-inch sensor main camera with an f1.67 aperture
00:21as well as lateral overflow integration capacitor tech.
00:24This offers more natural photo quality and less reliance on HDR and computational processing.
00:28There's also a 200-megapixel periscope sensor with an aperture of f2.39 to 2.96, a 50-megapixel
00:35ultrawide sensor, and a 50-megapixel front camera.
00:38What I love most here, though, is how the phone pays homage to Leica's camera legacy.
00:42Around the camera unit is a mechanical ring, offering a more tactile way to manually control
00:46the settings of the camera.
00:47By default, this control system is set to zoom, but you can customize it to instead handle
00:51things like exposure and white balance.
00:53There's a lot to love here.
00:54Some awesome color profiles, a bright and beautiful display, and even an additional
00:58security chip which authenticates your images.
01:00It'll be arriving to pretty much every market, barring the US, and that's a real shame, but
01:05it'll be available for £1,700 or AU$2,299 everywhere else.
01:10So, what do you think?
