00:00Mamma mia, now I really know. My, my, I could never let you go.
00:06Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:08And today, we're counting down our picks for the most memorable times a musical act's return was highly anticipated.
00:14When you're feeling sad and low, we will take you where you gotta go.
00:21Number 10. The Pussycat Dolls.
00:24The iconic girl group has been teasing a full-fledged comeback for years.
00:28In 2019, five of the six original members, Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Karmite Bahar, and Jessica Sutta, reunited
00:38on The X Factor Celebrity.
00:39Their performance made a huge stir, even though Melody Thornton wasn't a part of it.
00:51Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic and legal trouble with the group's founder, Robin Anton, torpedoed their plans to go on
00:59tour.
00:59Finally, in 2026, the Pussycat Dolls came together again, though as a trio of Nicole, Ashley, and Kimberly.
01:06I mean, it has been an ever-changing lineup, and, you know, this is what it looks like now in
01:112026, and you never know what comes next.
01:13And I think, ultimately, we've got to protect our peace.
01:15And when something like the Pussycat Dolls has so much history, we have ruptured in the past, and right now
01:21we are repairing.
01:22And we're sort of on the same page with that.
01:24They've released new music and will embark on the PCD Forever Tour next, for real this time.
01:29With supporting acts like Lil' Kim and Maya, the Y2K nostalgia is at an all-time high.
01:34You know what you want.
01:37Give the girl her girls.
01:38Give the girl the floor.
01:40Number 9.
01:42Jonas Brothers.
01:43This is an SOS.
01:44Don't want to second guess.
01:46This is the bottom line.
01:48It's true.
01:49The former Disney stars took over the world in the aughts.
01:53From the success of albums like Jonas Brothers and A Little Bit Longer, to the popularity of Camp Rock skyrocketing
01:59them to fame,
01:59the trio was at the top of the world.
02:02Then came the dreaded hiatus in 2011.
02:04Followed by an official split in 2013.
02:07We feel like we're best suited to do our own individual things, all things we're passionate about, and choose to
02:14be brothers first.
02:15Fans were left utterly heartbroken, even though the members pursued their solo careers passionately.
02:20So when they got back together in 2019 and released Sucker, fans turned it into a chart topper.
02:32They eventually released a highly successful album called Happiness Begins, supported by the Happiness Begins Tour, which reaffirmed their status
02:40as pop sensations.
02:42Needless to say, the trio hasn't looked back since.
02:45See everything, I need everything, I need to keep smiling through.
02:50Ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
02:54Number 8.
02:56Oasis.
02:56Today is going to be the day that they're going to throw it back to you.
03:01This rock band soundtracked a generation with timeless hits like Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova.
03:06Be it commercial success or critical acclaim, Oasis had it all.
03:10But it came crashing down when members Liam and Noel Gallagher fell out.
03:14I don't like each of them, man.
03:16A lot of people think we're waiting around, you know what I mean, for like a few more notes on
03:20the end for the thing.
03:21But they've already offered us like loads of money, like millions and millions.
03:24But not about the money, is it? You know what I mean?
03:26In 2009, the latter left the band, which became BDI, and later disbanded in 2014.
03:32A decade later, the Gallagher brothers called a truce and blessed the music world with an Oasis reunion that broke
03:38the internet.
03:39I knew it was going to be big. I knew it was a kind of massive moment in music.
03:44But I really had no idea it was going to be quite as big as that.
03:49It was the end of an era of feuding and the beginning of a stellar second act, characterized by sold
03:54-out shows across the globe.
03:55The Oasis Live 25 tour was attended by millions of fans who wouldn't have missed it for the world.
04:01You watch the crowd having the time of their lives, but you kind of know that the band and the
04:05crew are also having equally as good a time.
04:09And that's what was so magical about it.
04:11Number 7, Linkin Park.
04:13I'm surprised it got so.
04:15Things aren't the way they were before.
04:17You wouldn't even recognize me anymore.
04:19After Chester Bennington's passing in 2017, LP didn't just lose their frontman, the very soul of the band was shattered.
04:27Replacing Chester was out of the question, and for the longest time, there was no substantial conversation around the band's
04:33future, simply because it seemed impossible.
04:36Then, in 2024, Dead Sarah co-founder Emily Armstrong was announced as Linkin Park's new lead vocalist, alongside Colin Britton
04:43joining his drummer.
04:44And fans were divided.
04:46I was a little more of a believer earlier, because I spent the most time with Emily, so I was
04:55like, yeah, she's good.
04:56Her reported connection to the Church of Scientology and concerns about her alleged support for disgraced actor Danny Masterson led
05:02some fans, including Chester's son Jamie, to disapprove of her.
05:06Others were elated about Linkin Park's return, and their first album as a reformed group, From Zero, was a major
05:13hit.
05:30There's only one band in the world that can make millions choke up with a single G5 note.
05:35My Chemical Romance rose to stratospheric heights of success with their inimitable brand of alt-rock and pop-punk, until
05:42their heartbreaking split in 2013.
05:52Fans got their hopes up about a reunion in 2016, but it did not materialize.
05:57Instead, a reissue of The Black Parade called The Black Parade, Living With Ghosts, was released.
06:01The following year, the band finally came back together, albeit privately.
06:06In 2019, they announced their reunion, much to the joy of fans worldwide.
06:11The band has since been playing shows, headlining festivals, and reviving 2000's emo nostalgia like never before.
06:18We are the catch from yesterday.
06:27Number 5. Fleetwood Mac.
06:29Now there you go again, you say.
06:33You want your freedom.
06:35Despite being one of the greatest bands of all time, they were plagued by internal tensions, relationship drama, and several
06:42member changes.
06:43Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks formed one of the most successful lineups in the
06:51group's history.
06:51But this ensemble did not last.
06:54Buckingham left the band in 1987, seemingly on terrible terms.
06:58I'm not particularly disappointed not to be out on the road doing another Fleetwood Mac tour right now, doing all
07:08those hits.
07:10What I am disappointed in is that we built this beautiful legacy that was about rising above.
07:19In 1995, after Fleetwood Mac disbanded, the Classic Five surprisingly began working together again.
07:25A brief reunion for former president of the United States Bill Clinton's first inauguration raised hopes for a comeback, which
07:32until then had seemed highly unlikely.
07:35However, fans got their wish when the Rumors era members released the chart-topping album The Dance in 1997.
07:41They later commenced On The Dance tour, which was immensely successful.
07:53Number 4. Spice Girls
08:04Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Melanie C, and Jerry Halliwell were pop royalty in the 90s.
08:11They were unbeatable as a group, which made them into global icons.
08:15However, after Jerry shockingly quit The Spice Girls in 1998, things weren't the same.
08:20I wouldn't make a decision like that.
08:23Huge decision.
08:25Flippantly.
08:26And it was just something I had to do.
08:28And I hope, you know, given time, you know, people understand.
08:32The remaining members continued touring and focused on their solo endeavors.
08:35However, their album Forever did not reach the level of success they were used to.
08:40An indefinite hiatus soon followed.
08:49Though many tried to get the band back together, a reunion wouldn't happen until 2007,
08:54when the OG5 reconnected for the return of the Spice Girls tour.
08:58It was a cultural phenomenon, with tickets selling out in the blink of an eye.
09:02Countless awards were won, and history was made.
09:05Hey, you always on the run, gotta slow it down, baby, gotta have some fun.
09:12Number 3.
09:13Eagles.
09:13You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.
09:19The six-time Grammy-winning band spawned legendary hits like Hotel California and Life in the Fast Lane.
09:25Unfortunately, the group went up in flames when founding member and co-frontman Glenn Frey clashed with guitarist Don Felder.
09:31Their feud reached a fever pitch in 1980, when the two openly traded verbal jabs during a concert at Long
09:37Beach, California.
09:38When the set ended, he was out ahead of me, took his cheapest guitar.
09:49Busted in a million pieces and jumped in his limousine and drove off.
09:55And that was it.
09:56That was really the straw that broke the camel's back.
09:59The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers went their separate ways soon after.
10:02Fry famously claimed the Eagles would get back together, quote,
10:05when hell freezes over.
10:07Well, you know, to tell you the truth, I was having a fine time doing what I was doing.
10:11I mean, there's more to life than being in the Eagles.
10:13Luckily, it only took 14 years.
10:15With their mega-hit 1994 album, Hell Freezes Over,
10:19and the accompanying Hell Freezes Over tour,
10:21which became one of the highest-grossing tours of the 90s,
10:24the Eagles were officially back.
10:26When we're hungry,
10:30love will keep us alive.
10:35Number 2. BTS
10:43Having established themselves as one of the biggest musical acts in the world,
10:47the Bangtang boys had to pause group activities
10:49to fulfill their mandatory military service in South Korea.
10:52The members started enlisting in 2022,
10:55and by 2025, they had returned safely.
10:58All that was left was for them to make a comeback.
11:08In 2026, BTS released the highly anticipated album Arirang to massive fanfare.
11:14It broke streaming records, topped charts, and dominated social media.
11:18A related Netflix documentary called BTS The Return also made headlines.
11:23Additionally, as a part of the comeback,
11:25BTS held a free concert in Guahamun Square, a historic landmark in Seoul.
11:30The show was live-streamed on Netflix,
11:32reportedly drawing 18.4 million viewers.
11:43Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
11:48Big Bang
11:49The Coachella-bound band made waves with their comeback single, Still Life.
11:59Guns N' Roses
12:01The hit Not In This Lifetime Tour reunited Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan in 2016.
12:14No doubt.
12:15The band reunited at Coachella 2024 and has a hyped Las Vegas residency in the works.
12:21Some of you know, right now I'm walking in this panel,
12:24it's a legal message and I'll call you babe.
12:28Oh, that history.
12:30I'll legal message and I'll call you babe.
12:33Number 1.
12:35ABBA
12:35Mamma mia
12:36Does it show again?
12:38Mama
12:39Just how much I missed you?
12:42The Swedish pop legends enjoyed one of the most illustrious careers in the history of music.
12:46They captured hearts across the world with songs like Dancing Queen and Knowing Me, Knowing You.
12:51And their discography inspired the award-winning musical Mamma Mia.
12:55Unfortunately, from 1982 onwards, the group gradually became less active.
13:00Professionally, you can go on for a while, but privately and also emotionally,
13:05it tends to be quite difficult after a while to get it going,
13:10because there seemed to be a lack of motivation to do that, at least Anglieta and myself.
13:14Agnieta Feldskog and Björn Olvius were divorced by then,
13:18and so were Benny Andersson and Annie Friedlingsdard.
13:21Decades passed without any significant reunion,
13:23and fans had almost given up hope of an ABBA comeback,
13:27until the icons came out with their ninth studio album, Voyage.
13:31We got into the studio after 39 years.
13:34It was like no time had passed.
13:37We had a great time.
13:38It was not only a chart-buster, but also racked up several Grammy nods.
13:42The corresponding ABBA Voyage Concert Residency,
13:45performed by virtual ABBAtars, is ongoing in London.
13:54Which band's comeback are you looking forward to the most right now?
13:57Tell us in the comments.
13:58We'll see you next time.
