00:06:18What an honour it's been to be able to work with the most amazing, special people and play this crazy
00:06:28game.
00:06:29It's been a wild ride.
00:06:31I want to kind of start on my redemption.
00:06:34I feel like my whole life, guys, I have been a bit of an underdog.
00:06:40I have been underestimated and, look, I feel like I was underestimated in this game.
00:06:48Caleb Chaos was almost a bit of a front, but I played a very tactical game and it's literally led
00:06:56me here to be a final two.
00:06:59I felt like everybody knew what my mission was.
00:07:04It was the year of the underdogs.
00:07:07I pitched that us underdogs.
00:07:10We are going to really struggle against the best players.
00:07:13So why don't we all unite and get out the returnees.
00:07:17But then I made an alliance with Mark.
00:07:22I played one of the best double agent games I've ever seen.
00:07:27And I put a big blindside on one of the hugest players of the game.
00:07:34Then after that, I managed to stay in the right majority alliance, create the right relationships with the right people
00:07:42the whole time to make the final four.
00:07:44And then me and Loz, we teamed up.
00:07:48We put two votes on Sally.
00:07:50Sally and Jacko put two votes on me.
00:07:53We went to fire.
00:07:54And ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, I made the quickest fire in a challenge in Australian survivor history.
00:08:03Then we went to an individual immunity challenge and I finally won my first one.
00:08:09I lasted four hours and ten minutes on those pegs, which then led to me one of the hardest decisions.

00:08:23As I was up there, I realised something.

00:08:31And I was like, I've got to take Jackson if I want to win.

00:10:16This is where I made, I think, my biggest move in the game and the hardest move in the game.

00:10:35I traded one beautiful shield for three more beautiful shields.

00:10:47The only way through is to win a necklace.
00:10:50And you know what I did?
00:10:51I got myself a two-piece feet.
00:10:54I clutch up and I fill a hole in my resume in the physical challenge department.
00:11:00And battled my way through to the final three.
00:11:06I fought so hard, tooth and nail every day.
00:11:09I got knocked down and I got back up again smarter.
00:11:13It wasn't survival, it was evolution.
00:11:16I proved that I was the biggest beast in the Beauty and the Beast.
00:11:19I was the only one in Club Kaput that didn't go kaput.
00:11:22And I am gonna be the only underdog left barking on the mountain.
00:11:27I'm sure as heck the only underdog that would run side by side with the big dogs.

00:13:14sheet of petty crimes.

00:13:24Moments like staying on awful pegs for four and a half hours.
00:13:28Or getting out of Redemption Beach.
00:13:30I got a few there that I kind of covered in my opening pitch.

00:13:41So is there any crime or risk that you wish that you did make and you didn't?
00:13:49I think my biggest risk I didn't take was putting more faith into Loz.
00:13:55I think throughout the game I had opportunities to really go forward with her in this game.

00:14:17I think out of everyone here, you are the one person that didn't come out laser focused on gunning for
00:14:26returnees.
00:14:26The way that you used us to your advantage, I found incredible and very, very rare.
00:14:36I would just, I don't want to say that we're talking about fear or hesitation to work with returnees.
00:14:45This man right here was not afraid to talk to me on night one.
00:14:49But he also wanted you gone from the first travel.
00:14:52I needed to learn.
00:14:53I needed to learn from the best.
00:14:56And what a better way then to find the best players.
00:15:00And like, the thing is, Mark, you know, that was really hard for me in the end to make that
00:15:05flip.

00:15:10So can you claim a move if you weren't the one driving it?
00:15:18Like, I feel like that Mark vote, I'm the one that made the decision that said Mark's going.

00:16:08But I could back it up because I hid myself in very tight shields.
00:16:13And when I made these big moves like eliminating Ben and placing myself under the care of Keeley, Brook and
00:16:18Simon, I tucked myself away in there.
00:16:21Did I have to continue to drive votes hard every single day? No, that's a good way to put a
00:16:26target on your back.
00:16:28My problem in this game is when people play passenger for too long and hide in the numbers.
00:16:38Yeah, look, I, um, with the underdogs that I had on my tribe, I was also pitching and we were
00:16:46literally waiting for opportunities to strike.
00:16:49And if you weren't such a passenger, can you give an example on a time that you were driving and
00:16:54influencing a decision?
00:16:55When were you in the driver's seat?
00:17:00Every single time working with the returnees, at the same time having my foot in the other door with underdogs,
00:17:08you know what I mean?
00:17:09Waiting and watching for enough numbers there and being able to play this big, amazing double game.
00:17:18I think that, look, your double agent play and you're flying under the radar and an espionage and all that
00:17:26is amazing.
00:17:28But if you're claiming that, then I'm going to sit here and claim it too.
00:17:32Because in my head, the concept of double agent is simply playing survivor.
00:17:36Playing this game is lying and telling people that you're going with this plan, but actually it's going to be
00:17:41this one.

00:18:14At one time, I'm telling Mark all these crazy names from the underdogs, none of them were real.
00:18:20And at the same time, I'm working with Mark saying, oh yeah, I'm going to do this big Ben boat.
00:18:26I saw you do the double agent thing with Mark.
00:18:30And I saw Mark believe you until the very last second.
00:18:34The girls thought that Mark needed a t-shirt that said, I love Caleb.
00:18:37Because everyone was trying to tell Mark, do not trust Caleb.
00:18:41And yet he still did.

00:43:40will go down as one of the greatest rivalries in Survivor history hell yeah bringing in Caleb

00:46:03I have for caleb now is through the roof same goes yeah well it's a showdown right to the very
00:46:12end
00:46:12but to get there we saw one of the biggest blind sides of the season loz did you ever imagine
00:46:19that
00:46:20caleb wouldn't take you to the end um I was pretty solid going into that final endurance challenge I
00:46:26felt pretty good but something happens up on those pigs like it's just you have this kind of experience
00:46:33which is really hard to describe and over that course I just started to wonder
00:46:37like it started to creep in yeah so I definitely started building the doubt up on those pigs
00:46:42well this season was defined by huge tribal councils with some of the juiciest most mind-blowing tribals
00:46:52Australian survivor has ever seen
00:46:57you guys were curious about travel you can absolutely vote for me tonight because no I'm not

00:50:16if i didn't give them the credit they deserve i mean we've got players like lotty here
00:50:20we've got asha here like so many of the players that i started with it was like day two they
00:50:26were already ready to play like returnees so i just have to give them credit that they
00:50:31came after me um i think it was a great play um they have my number
00:50:37well this season really proved that when everyone comes to play great players can go home at any
00:50:44moment paula hi daddy you landed on the beach made great allies started making moves and then
00:50:52you're blindsided is your head still spinning it was painful to watch but i think that kind of really
00:51:00started everything up lotty had our number and she clocked us pretty quickly which was uh
00:51:06unsettling to say the least and simon you dirty dog
00:51:14mark your first season is known for its wild gameplay were you surprised by how crazy these
00:51:20tribals were or did it feel like coming home i love the season that i first played in and i
00:51:25learned
00:51:26so much from the other players that i played with so i was just taking lessons from all of the
00:51:31greats they were the ghosts that were haunting me but also they taught me all my lessons so
00:51:35i just went out there i'm like hey if ferris and kirby and eileen and edith and bow everyone if
00:51:42they
00:51:42can do these great moves to tribal why can't i and so from day one i was not holding back
00:51:46at all

00:53:11against these returnees i was shocked i mean brookie jowett she's not a legend for no reason
00:53:21it's surreal i mean watching the show for since i was six years old you freeze up and unfortunately
00:53:27that's what i did well the newbies started with the numbers but that didn't stop the returnees
00:53:43from casting a long shadow over the game none more than the man with a blazer full of blindsides
00:53:50i am here for redemption and vengeance the last time i played my dead allies got cut because i
00:54:00wasn't cut throat enough go over here go over here boys oh a lot of movement
00:54:11mark is the pm of this tribe the prime minister he's a very good manipulator this game i've never
00:54:18seen anything like that i have a really tight grip of the tribe the game and relationships so you know
00:54:26would you say he's number one i really want you to know that i really want to go deep with

00:54:41my reach has no limits it's like these tentacles that just wrap around these newbies
00:54:47i've already got a name for us because we always come back and now i am the biggest player on
00:54:55the
00:54:55beach by a country mile it's like you come for me you die screw you mark your mark on this

00:55:14thing about survivor when you wear a jacket it's got a lot of pockets so that's me
00:55:23it's a huge rich richard mark he is the soul collector he is collecting souls from the people
00:55:35he's voted off this samoan beach i've been eaten up by paranoia that faith and keely are going to turn
00:55:42on me yeah i could convince myself to vote you off if you get to the end yeah you win

00:55:48still be friends about a lot you should have probably lied and told me you take it to the end
00:56:11mark in your first season you were the diplomat your alliance was the invisible hand
00:56:15hand this time you kind of ruled with an iron fist was this the cutthroat game that you set out

00:56:21play yeah absolutely there was no way i could play an invisible hand game this time around i was out
00:56:29there with my girl brooke and a bunch of really good newbies and i decided to really be a really
00:56:36cutthroat player and i wasn't afraid of making moves um i knew that my chances of winning the game
00:56:42willow so just go out there have fun and i know that these other newbies if they get another chance
00:56:47they'll do the same thing and i can't wait to see them 100 percent
00:56:54richard you were on the receiving end of a brutal blind side for mark i mean it looked like you
00:57:00didn't
00:57:00realize he'd betrayed you until the very last vote was that the case yeah that vote didn't make sense to
00:57:06me uh you know i think mark really kind of set himself up there for a challenging uh next tribal
00:57:12council uh but what mark didn't realize was that those ghosts that he was talking to at night they
00:57:19were coming around to us and also telling us vote mark out well johnson you clocked mark pretty early as
00:57:27a master manipulator and you paid the price why do you think people allowed him to hold so much power
00:57:33in the
00:57:33try mark's eyes are fierce and when he looks into your soul it transcends the universe it is scary when
00:57:45you look into the man's soul well they might have been the sister wives of the head office but this
00:57:50duo were a deadly force all of their own it's faith and keely
00:57:59who runs the world us faith and i are basically the sister wives
00:58:06to mark he's very possessive they're very very close we need to think about who's next i mean i'm
00:58:15thinking it is i want his pants i love being in control i think this is great

00:58:31shocked really really shocked crazy that was like totally mind-blowing i'm not disappointed i'm not
00:58:39angry if anything i'm thinking how do i now one-up mark
00:58:49i identify as an idol holder
00:58:55keely to me is the most dangerous player in this game and i'm seriously scared of that woman
00:59:01she's no idol because she's a killer that girl killer keely
00:59:08i have a really good looking cake and i have a real idol

00:59:42can do down there now when you first applied to play this game did you think you'd be out there
00:59:45winning immunity challenges and committing survivor crimes um the survivor crimes yes but immunity
00:59:51challenges absolutely not that was a real shock faith you and keely seemed like kindred spirits out
00:59:58there yeah what do you think made you two such a strong duo we loved the game and i think

01:00:04even though keely didn't necessarily know survivor she wanted to learn we spoke a lot about stuff and
01:00:10then having mark together in that three um i don't know we just had a lot of fun man you

01:00:17faith you're in such a strong position until you told mark that you wouldn't let him get to
01:00:23the end do you regret that decision now um look i don't have regrets i think that i played a
01:00:30very
01:00:30i played an honest game and i think that was also very much mine and mark's relationship i was honest
01:00:36with him about a lot of things um and i'm really proud that my closest alliance member took me out
01:00:42that um with an epic blind side that was very on brand for me even to the last moments i

01:00:48people what to do um which i loved and so yeah i was really proud of my game i don't

01:12:56crazy thing about survivor you could be playing a great game but make one mistake get unlucky or just
01:13:03you know keep someone up at night and then you toast eliza did you ever imagine your torch would
01:13:12be snuffed because you kept lyndall awake at night when you come into a game like survivor you run

01:19:32brooke you know obviously it wasn't great for my relationship with brooke at that time but it saved
01:19:37just on the next one and opened the door for the uh for jackson to come and flip over so

01:19:45well keely everyone's voted you play your real idol for brooke but if you're wrong you'd go home
01:19:52how sure were you that you'd made the right call um i was look i was pretty confident that i
01:20:00had made the right call i got to know these guys pretty well and their voting patterns and they
01:20:04were so passionate about getting out their attorneys they wanted to write their name
01:20:09down and put it in the urn so i was i was worried i thought maybe one or two keely
01:20:15votes in that urn
01:20:16and it paid off yeah it really did yeah big risk big reward thanks keel well you're welcome

01:22:54welcome back to the survivor reunion this season was all about redemption
01:23:00that meant that everyone walked onto the beach with something very personal driving their game
01:23:07caleb you stood on that mat on day one and said you were playing for young caleb
01:23:12what do you think your journey in this game could teach young caleb about himself now
01:23:16look trust myself more you know what i mean because a lot of the time it feels like my heart
01:23:23and my
01:23:23mind are in battle and i feel like that's when i make a lot of mistakes and i should trust
01:23:28myself
01:23:29more trust others more because when i start doing it i start winning
01:23:39loz you came into the game wanting to reclaim your strength and make your girls proud
01:23:44how do you think survivors changed you i definitely went out to prove something and
01:23:49to show my kids and my family how tough i am and how resilient i am how strong i am
01:23:54and through the game i really got to really experience you know being proud of myself so yeah
01:24:23what is it about survivor that is so special yeah i don't i

01:24:42as a fan of australian survivor watching these amazing players in the first generation from
01:24:47season one through to all-stars to then you know put on a buff for the first time and give
01:24:53it a crack
01:24:54i was i felt like i was just a fan who got their shot and i was not going to
01:24:59leave any stone unturned
01:25:01and i was going to make the most of every single moment every single breath to do everyone proud
01:25:06and do myself proud and yeah i just i've been overwhelmed by what this has given me and it's it's
01:25:14it's been one hell of a journey
01:25:15yeah well you've certainly done the play of our face
