Ue, Von der Leyen: "Oggi l'Europa è ungherese"

Bruxelles, 13 apr. (askanews) - "Oggi l'Europa è ungherese, senza alcun dubbio": lo ha dichiarato la presidente della Commissione Europea, Ursula von der Leyen, all'indomani della vittoria elettorale di Peter Magyar che ha messo fine a sedici anni di governo del premier uscente Viktor Orban. Gli ungheresi hanno parlato, e hanno deciso di riprendere il loro cammino europeo", ha commentato Von der Leyen sottolineando come il trionfo di Magyar costituisca "una vittoria per le libertà fondamentali": "Lo avete fatto di nuovo, come nel 1956 e nel 1989".L'Ue è oggi "più forte e più unita": "Inizieremo a lavorare con il nuovo governo il più presto possibile, rimane molto da fare.Lavoreremo intensamente sui fondi, (un prestito di 90 miliardi di euro dall'Unione europea all'Ucraina, ndr) e sulle riforme". ha concluso dicendo che  "C'è molto da fare affinché l'Ungheria possa tornare sul cammino europeo".
