00:00Kami Banach, firstly why are you here today in South London with half of your
00:04shadow cabinet energetically scrubbing way behind you? Why is it important to
00:09restore communities like this? It's time to take back our streets. Whether it was
00:14the looting that we saw in Clapham or the endless graffiti, endless shoplifting
00:20up and down the country, what we are seeing is that people are committing
00:24petty crime and getting away with it. They're even committing more serious
00:28crimes and being let out of prison early. We need to take back our streets. So
00:33we're saying that if people spray graffiti, they need to face immediate
00:37justice and be made to clean it. I mean, we've been out here for a while. It is
00:40tough to clean. It should not be that taxpayers and local residents need to
00:44get someone from the council to sort it out. If the person who committed the
00:48crime or who sprayed the graffiti is caught, they should be made to clean it up.
00:52This is part of our take back our streets campaign.
