00:18time for a renovation intervention i'm bobby burke i help people transform their spaces to
00:24get their lives back in order but to help pay for it will they be willing to sell off some of their
00:29precious treasures to get the home they dream of my name is vivian anything and everything having
00:44to do with wonder woman i collect i grew up in the 70s i watched wonder woman on television i love the
00:53way that wonder woman embodied love and courage and strength since then i tried to embody what
01:00wonder woman's about so i help people with my job as a physical therapist but now i need to take care
01:07of myself there's just no room here for people i'm jilly i've been vivian's best friend for 20 years now
01:19you want a man right or two well yeah you need to make room for these boys i have so much stuff that's
01:27stopping me from being able to feel a level of peace i'm overwhelmed with the vibration of it all
01:34so in my 20-year career as a designer i've coached hundreds of clients on how to clear out their clutter
01:39and i want to do the same for vivian because my goal is to help her have her collection fit into her life
01:45instead of taking over her life hello hello how are you nice to find you my real life wonder woman
01:56show me around this looks like home and work yes this is my healing center yeah i see a little
02:02bit of wonder woman in here yeah but where i need help is in the bag let me show you the collection
02:07i've ran out of space wow to put everything this is my wonder woman collection okay this is my glorified
02:17closet it's a lot to take in how many pieces do you have about 2 000. wow wow wow wow yeah you've
02:28got some amazing pieces i'm mostly collecting things from my childhood from the 70s that are unique and
02:35that stood the test of time thermoses what is this if someone's mean to me you sound like darth vader
02:42in this i see roller skates when linda carter was wonder woman you know you either wanted to
02:50do her or be her and i wanted to be here what was your first piece i begged for a wonder woman bathing
02:57suit wait how old were you oh god seven do you probably still don't have the swimsuit do you i do
03:03shut up really oh it's so cute this is the moment little you felt empowered and like a wonder woman
03:15yeah like when did you really start collecting though 2000 2001 online auctions happened oh i remember
03:23those days it was like an atomic bomb of wonder woman i really went a little cray some of these
03:29things could be worth some money but i never had them appraised when i go into the wonder woman
03:34memorabilia room i feel visually overwhelmed i would love to have a way that i can display this
03:43you know amazing collection nobody can enjoy it with me because nobody else fits in the house
03:47let's see the bedroom the boudoir where the magic doesn't happen oh there's a lot going on in here
03:56there's a lot going on in here i always say chaos around you creates chaos in your mind right my my
04:01brain doesn't think like yours i'm good at what i do yes but here i never even bothered because i
04:07wouldn't know where to start and as you see i really don't know where to start which is why you're here
04:12that's why i'm here in this room i really want to help you and make this more of a zen
04:16cleansing palette like being able to reach my clothing or see my clothing or closed cabinets like
04:23hide everything yeah like where everything is not out in the open like that show me more so this is my
04:30living room guest room living room guest room and who are these little precious angels my two passions
04:36wonder woman and dogs i love it what do your friends think of this space they stay away lovers
04:44what year is it do you think like some of this maybe the collection do you think that has a part in
04:53you know why somebody might come over and judge a book by its collection yeah
04:59yeah all right so i want to help make your home a place that really recharges you because you are ready
05:07to kind of i would say maybe to start living again a little more
05:14it's okay it's okay it's okay that's what i'm here for i think i've been holding on to
05:21a lot i have a a an emotional heart clenching letting go of stuff it's almost like maybe i'll
05:33be less powerful than i am now or less full than i am now or less complete than i am now it's a new
05:41concept for me so yeah i probably do need to redefine myself a little bit well i am here to help you start
05:47living in your space because if this is your guest room living room it needs to function a little bit
05:54more and so here's what i'd love to do for you there's definitely some things i can do to make
05:59the design take advantage of every square inch of space you need to be wonder woman wowed
06:05all right in this room i'll demolish the closet giving you more floor space for a sofa bed your
06:09guests will love in the bedroom i'm going to bring in new furniture lighting wallpaper it's really going
06:14to return your primary to a place to rest both body and mind because your clothes are scattered
06:19all over the house your collection room is becoming a changing area complete with a custom closet system
06:24for your clothes and memorabilia and a storage island to see and enjoy the things you love all three
06:30rooms what's your budget what are we working with the most i could spare is 20k that's a good start
06:39for 20k i can clear it all out and lightly spruce up your rooms but to give you a space to live in
06:44with your collection and really recharge your battery every night taking advantage of every
06:49square inch of space and adding storage with custom cabinetry will cost another 18 000 dollars
06:56and so we're going to need to sell some things i will consider it i'm not sure whether i want to sell
07:02anything but i know that i need to open up and make new choices if where i'm at doesn't work for me
07:08instead of just getting off on the collecting of it i'm going to bring in an expert this week
07:14he's going to go through the collection with us and we're going to figure out exactly what
07:18everything is worth especially the things that you're willing to part with because i could see
07:21on your face how it started sparkling when i talked about that room does that work for you
07:25i'm very open i'm open we are here to celebrate collections but hey the stuff that she wants to
07:31empower herself she's actually hurting herself so i really want to help vivian get that collection into
07:36a shape where it is enjoyable to when people come over they're impressed by it not scared by it

08:02this here you've got the original book two color call out pages and two actual pages matted all up
08:11together you're looking at anywhere from 1200 to 2000 for that piece of art huh nice is this something
08:19you'd be willing to part with this is a maybe oh my right this is what i enjoy
08:27every nook and cranny is crammed with something delicious this oh hello
08:37didn't you love how it's just casually tossed around this is the key of your collection
08:45oh this is the key of your collection i know comic books are all about the grade okay the eight point
08:54went for 240 000 and this is not the best wonder woman but it is a wonder woman number one you have
09:03a 1.5 this is still an incredible book to have for any collection now my other comics these are things
09:11that i might use for the renovation vivian's wonder woman comic books alone could be a gold mine worth
09:18of stuff all you got to do is take care of them and that is your jackpot yeah let's put our valuable
09:24comic books on the wall with a glass shelf oh god no no okay so here we got some magazines oh oh wait
09:32this is a nine that's good right actually yeah it's a nine fall issue number 14. whoa whoa whoa oh my
09:38goodness there goes three no stop stop stop that's that's bad all of that's bad i'm getting a little
09:45upset now this is not how you treat comic books i'm trying not to cry i'm being wonder shamed i'm trying
09:52not to cry here say this book is like 300 if it's graded it can go to 800 to 1500 you have some really
10:03really old issues of wonder woman every one of these is gold get some of them graded you can sell
10:10those books your lunchbox is a hundred to two hundred dollars a pop for the older ones the top
10:15corner you got the mega dolls so this is the rare figure migo dolls on this card the price can be up to
10:2214 000. both the figures are very good this one's got some water damage no i didn't do the water
10:35damage look at the fading there you're looking in like five to seven thousand dollar range each each
10:43okay i found a treasure and it's from the 70s so these are the first migo action figures okay
10:50the toys don't stand up on their own they have horrible sculpts but you can get a thousand to
10:57three thousand dollars depending on the figure and the condition of the card hey i was psyched that
11:03i got it that's a really good figure and it's ugly nubia up there is a woman of color right which
11:11was very rare for back then right that is one of my favorite pieces eight to ten thousand dollars
11:16for a graded version of nubia fifth yes with three or four comic books and one of the doll i have the
11:25budget all the money i need can we get rid of some comics can we get rid of her i really have to think
11:32it over i had some of these things for for like 20 years yeah you have some contemplating to do clean
11:39that shelf wonder shame i'm not sure if i want to sell anything i'm like oh oh you know i've said
11:48i'm open but i don't know how open so now that we have a little bit better handle on the possibilities
11:59of how to get eighteen thousand dollars from the item scott found let's talk about what you'll get
12:03design-wise for selling the reason why i want this to be a changing room is because like wonder woman when
12:08she does that little spin she changes into wonder woman and your life is changing right now you're
12:14allowing your life to be lived a little bit more instead of controlled by your collection oh crying
12:20again i'm very grateful for this everything like i totally want this renovation because i really need
12:28some peace i'm willing at this point to sell a couple of items because i don't want to pay out of
12:35pocket so can we start with like 10 grand worth custom closet is 12 grand on its own maybe 12. that
12:42is enough for me to start swinging hammers get get stuff cleaned out get ready i think vivian is
12:46handling the process really well you know there's been a little pushback but i think she's made a lot
12:51of emotional breakthroughs and i think she's ready for some change
12:58the wonder woman wow transformation is underway
13:01vivian's 2000 collectibles have been placed in temporary storage and the closets in both her
13:08guests and collection rooms were demolished to provide more floor space for new furniture
13:13in her bedroom wallpaper's going up as a nod to wonder woman's iconic costume and i've ordered the
13:19custom closets for the collection's last changing now vivian she promised to sell 12 000 bucks of her stuff
13:26and i really hope she can pull it off viv let's check out your collection room can you believe
13:32there's this much space in here all the storage and hanging space that's going to be in here is
13:38going to be perfect for you and your wonder woman dressing room and your woman woman collection i love
13:43that it's going to be functional we needed an additional 18k for the reno and we had already agreed
13:48to the upgrade of the closet system and everything for 12 grand right my question is have you sold
13:55enough to give me that 12 grand um have you sold enough to give me that 12 grand i sold the mego on
14:07the card and the little ugly one i did sell it her face is melted like really come on comic book artwork
14:17that brought me up to about a 12 yeah wow you've had such little jackpot jewels in here
14:24i'm so excited to like have a dressing room but it's a painful pleasure to release part of my
14:31collection it's like snm twelve thousand dollars sold six thousand more dollars to go okay so now i
14:38gotta like go look at what i want to sell while vivian chooses what to part with the makeover
14:46moves forward the wallpaper and the lighting are complete with soothing colors on the walls in
14:50both the bedroom and the living room plus for maximum organization the custom closet systems here
15:00so today i'm going to possibly see how much i'll get for what i'm so freaked out about doing this
15:05see what you got and ooh wonder woman yes you have some really vintage golden age wonder womans
15:16that's a really significant book this would be the third time wonder woman was ever in a comic book
15:23the main thing people look at evaluation of a comic book is just the quality of the cover and the back cover
15:29you can see all these little cracks and things like that when you open it up to see if staples
15:33are still there and they are so look without working for the grading company but i do do this for a
15:40living this is at least like a five or a six you know you have some great books here and you know
15:46it's a collection that you should be proud of thank you especially all wonder woman you are what you
15:51collect right i'll take it how much would it be to just take them off my hands today based on what i'm
15:59seeing right here i'd be comfortable giving you eight thousand dollars for these three yeah i mean
16:06they're worth more than that but i'd love to own these books sounds good i appreciate you awesome thanks
16:16everything is done inside it feels so good to finally be able to show vivian the finished space
16:24you know this has been a long time coming there were mountains to climb and when i say mountains i mean
16:30piles of wonder woman stuff and now it is time to just add those last few magical little touches
16:36and i think it's really going to change vivian's life
16:38so as a collector i was very burdened by the clutter and then bobby showed up in my life so
16:50i can't wait for the grand finale i want to know how you feel i feel like there was life before bobby
16:56and after bobby you made me shed some of my collection in the beginning you were reluctant i needed a little

17:27what are your first reactions oh that i went into like one of those those magic doors where you're
17:32somewhere else we're like in another dimension and this is still the wonder woman room it's
17:38fictional wonder woman and real wonder woman i wanted to make this a changing room because i feel
17:43like every day you get up and you put on your armor and you go to heal people and i wanted to make sure
17:49you had a space to heal thank you when we tore this closet out that was really useless this was the
17:55perfect nook for your getting ready console and then over here you've got your paradise island
18:02with your drawers and i love these drawers because so many of your little clutches here
18:06they're art pieces too displaying your collection but in a functional real way instead of just in a
18:11way where you don't get to appreciate it you turned this whole room into a piece of art
18:18who decided to sell some things and do those upgrades and i think doing the upgrade of the custom
18:23closet was huge i get chills as i say this there's a peacefulness and a sense of being able to
18:32release pent-up energy and anxiety instead of being pushed with anxiety towards me i'm not used to
18:40receiving i get that no so uh it's overwhelming in the best way thank you i love you you're the best
18:54all right let's check out the living room now because that was also a space well living room dining
18:58room guest room should i close my eyes yeah if you want yeah yeah okay okay
19:08oh my double god it is an actual usable living space this is where i'm gonna cuddle my dogs
19:18you know so in here you know you've got the upgraded shelves that's just all wonder woman
19:22you've got the painting of you and the dogs up there because i really wanted this to feel like
19:26your space i'm extremely excited to have company in that new living room i wanted to be invited to
19:32my house shall we go check out the bedroom oh shall we
19:41oh my god what do we think oh my real grown-up wonder woman bedroom now you get to sleep under the
19:50stars before it was dark it was cluttered oh wow the furniture was too large for the space
19:57now it's bright it's airy it feels like a place where you can actually relax it's like you brought
20:03the waldorf historian to my house i love it i even put another display case in here for you for wonder
20:10woman no potential suitor is going to come in here and be like ah that's too much they're going to be like
20:15oh she's got some cool stuff bobby kept my wonder woman memorabilia and he's balancing function with
20:23love and not taking away my identity what i'm most proud of is that extra stuff that you sold because
20:31we were able to really upgrade all the spaces it's all really going to change your day-to-day design can
20:38change your mental health design can change your relationships i know this change is going to have
20:43a very big positive impact in vivian's life this experience was a soul operation s-o-u-l pulling out
20:54the things that don't serve me so thank you this experience has taken me out of the addiction of
21:01collecting and inserted having a life around being a collector without having it choke me to death
21:12now that you've realized how much more peaceful your life at home can be with a little less stuff i
21:17hope that you continue with this process and get rid of some things i'm very excited about my future
21:22thanks to you you're my real life wonder woman and i'm very proud of you
