00:00In the early hours of the morning, on a quiet, suburban street, a man is ambushed in his driveway.
00:24Do they know him? Where'd they come from? Did they follow him?
00:30We screamed. I grabbed my chest because there were so many shots fired.
00:42Whoever's shooting at Andre is trying to hit him.
00:46What happened? Who did it?
00:50This video provided by a neighbor shows a threatening man.
00:59He's seen walking past a hole holding an axe.
01:02After a busy night, Dallas clubs and bars are closing.
01:25Clubs and bars are closing when a call comes in to 911.
01:35A bartender was driving home and he saw someone in the street crawling.
01:41He just thought that the person was intoxicated or in some kind of other distress.
01:48First responders head to the street in Old East Dallas.
01:53The police arrived within minutes and realized that he was in a very bad state.
02:00He had a gunshot wound to his side.
02:05And he could speak but barely and was just asking for help.
02:12Too weak to give his name, the young man is rushed to the hospital.
02:17The police had no idea what happened because there were no shell cases in the area.
02:24All they had was blood.
02:26So they thought maybe his body had just been dumped there.
02:29What's going through the police officer's head is, where is the crime scene?
02:33How did he get here?
02:37What happened?
02:38Three hours after the bleeding man was found, Regina Oliver is heading to East Dallas with her son Andre's young daughter.
02:50I had to get up early to deliver Andre's golden child to him because I was starting my new job.
03:04She was to be with her dad all day.
03:19When I was leaving the house, I kept calling.
03:23No response.
03:24And I'm calling and calling.
03:27I'm like, what is going on?
03:32I got to his house.
03:35The car was in the driveway.
03:38The passenger door was open.
03:42And I called, and I called, and all of a sudden, I spotted Andre's phone, sitting on the armrest.
03:56I saw the cheeseburger was over in the car seat, and it was smashed.
04:03Some fries were on the floor.
04:05I did something right, something right.
04:10I'm a little freaked out.
04:11I'm a little scared.
04:12So, I called 911.
04:17Regina called the police, and the description that she gave of a tattoo that he had triggered one of the officers to recall that the person they had found a couple blocks away had that same tattoo.
04:28Dallas PD officers head straight to Regina's son's home.
04:36The officer kept questioning me.
04:37He said, what does your son look like?
04:41I said, he is short hair cut, a little blonde on the top.
04:46He said, he's about high tall.
04:48I said, he's 6'5".
04:50He said, can you identify your son?
04:53I said, of course.
04:55I had my phone.
04:56I said, this is my son right here.
05:00I showed him pictures of him.
05:04Police are in no doubt.
05:06Regina's son is the young man found gunned down in the street, who sadly didn't make it.
05:15He died from his injuries in the hospital.
05:17I lost it.
05:18I lost it.
05:30I lost it.
05:31He is not just Regina's adored son.
05:32He is also the much loved local hero and NBA basketball superstar, Andre Emmett.
05:49Half of my heart was taken.
05:53My heart.
05:55My soul.
05:56My mind.
05:57My mind.
06:02It was, it was a nightmare.
06:07News of Andre's death spreads quickly among friends and family.
06:13His mom calls me hysterical, you know, and her words, you know, I'll never forget them.
06:25She was like, they done killed my baby.
06:27It was devastating, man.
06:28Like, it was a surreal moment.
06:32I broke down.
06:37I just could not understand why something this tragic would happen to someone as sweet as Andre.
06:50I just could not fathom us not having him around.
07:00It's just a day that changed our lives forever.
07:09Growing up in a tough area, 37-year-old Andre Emmett defied the odds to become a sporting hero.
07:20Andres.
07:23Hey, how it got, man?
07:24Andre?
07:25Hey, no real job.
07:26Basketball 18.
07:27I got a boss.
07:28We don't real.
07:29Shit out, man.
07:31When I first met Andre, we were actually eighth graders at the time.
07:35We were actually playing one-on-one basketball.
07:38And I got lucky.
07:39I won the first game.
07:40And after that, I can't tell you the last time I beat him.
07:44So, you know, that's how it started.
07:46Everybody just recognized his talents at a very early age.
07:53And I knew then we had a superstar.
07:59Starting his career in college basketball, Andre played for Texas Tech's Red Raiders.
08:05He always had a trick.
08:07He always had a slick move that he thought he could, you know, capitalize on.
08:18I charge it to him being a good dancer.
08:20Because on basketball court, you got to be able to move a little bit.
08:24Literally, man, he would make a move and it looked good and scoring at ease.
08:29Andre is still Texas Tech's all-time leading scorer.
08:36Good.
08:37Let's change it.
08:38Ready to go.
08:39That's one.
08:40You got it?
08:41My name is Charlie Miller.
08:43And I was a mentor, coach, friend, brother.
08:47Watching him play live, Andre was larger than life.
08:54He had a knack for scoring.
08:55Drafted to the NBA, Andre played for teams including the New Jersey Nets and the Memphis Grizzlies.
09:07Andre wanted to make his mom proud.
09:10And that's exactly what he did.
09:15Every accomplishment, every award, every trophy, went to his mom.
09:23Andre was a good person.
09:31He never tried to hurt anybody.
09:37As the police examine the crime scene, they begin gathering evidence.
09:44They believe that Andre had been shot near his condo.
09:47Crime scene found a number of showcase scenes, about five near his Range Rover, and then some more were found down the sidewalk near a blood trail that was leading into the direction where he ultimately collapsed where the 911 caller found him.
10:06Devastated by their loss, Andre's family gather close to his apartment.
10:10When I got there, I ran up to my hood sister and I said, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
10:20And at that point, I just remember being very, very angry. Very angry.
10:29I started to ask questions. What happened? Who did it?
10:39Why would you shoot someone outside their house? What is this over? Is it over money?
10:44Is this just a personal vendetta? Is this a robbery? Is a deal gone bad?
10:49Officers canvassed the neighborhood.
10:56They're looking for any kind of witnesses.
11:00They're looking for any kind of surveillance that may assist in their investigation of why this happened and what happened.
11:06One of the big breakthroughs that the police had was Andre's own ring camera footage in front of where Andre was shot.
11:21Was Andre's killer caught on camera?
11:23What I have here is something I'll always cherish, Andre's personal phone.
11:43It has a lot of memories of him, his children, and some funny friends.
11:52And some fun videos of him and the kids.
11:58Andre is the father of two beautiful girls.
12:03The last video in here is when he took his babies to the park.
12:11They played in the water.
12:15This has to be the last memory that they have with their dad because that was the last time they saw him.
12:20They were having fun with Dada.
12:26He loved being a father.
12:28He did.
12:30And they loved their daddy.
12:32He was weak behind the girls.
12:34Very weak behind those girls.
12:35Yes, he was.
12:36Raised by his single mom, Regina, Andre was born in Dallas in August 1982.
12:52Andre and my relationship was tight.
12:54He loved his mom.
13:00They were very close.
13:01They talked every single day.
13:05Andre was, he was an awesome kid.
13:09He was full of life.
13:11He was fun.
13:13Everybody loved Andre.
13:17He was not a fighter.
13:19Mm-mm.
13:20He was not like that.
13:21He was not like that.
13:23So a piece of information that the family provides to the police is that Andre always wore hood necklaces and then a custom Rolex that was valued at about $80,000.
13:42At the time Andre was found, he did not have the watch or the necklaces that the family said he always wore.
13:51The police suspected that this was a robbery.
13:57When police view Andre's Ring doorbell footage, it appears to confirm their theory.
14:03Andre had just arrived home after being at a local nightclub.
14:07So finding this footage showing the events that happened was devastating, but also told the story of the last moments of Andre's life.
14:20The surveillance video captures Andre in his driveway, and he's sitting there, and we come to find out that he's actually eating Whataburger.
14:31And you see one of the suspects approach and then point a gun at him.
14:34Don't move. Don't move. Don't move. Don't move.
14:39Andre's got his hands up.
14:41And now you see the second individual come.
14:44And so Andre's going to get out.
14:50At this point, and I'll pause it right here, you can see it's kind of blurry, and so you can't really see the people's faces.
15:01And you see him taking off his jewelry.
15:05And he gives it to him, right there, and takes off.
15:10And you hear the first gunshot, and you see Andre begin to run away.
15:15A neighbor's doorbell camera captures what happens next.
15:18A neighbor's doorbell camera captures what happens next.
15:24And so that was very shocking.
15:29And you see the two suspects run away.
15:31And another gunshot.
15:33That many gunshots tells me that whoever's shooting at Andre is trying to hit him.
15:47The footage is great in a sense, you now have an idea of what happened.
15:54But because you can't see their faces, you don't know who did it.
15:59The fact that Andre gave up his jewelry, and the shooter still shot him, leads you to believe that maybe this was something more, something more personal.
16:09Police turned to Andre's family for help.
16:15Nobody I knew, or ever thought of wanting to hurt Andre.
16:22I can't think of anybody that would want to harm Andre.
16:26He was a great individual, all smiles, always giving.
16:30This is the nicest kid in the world, who would do anything for anyone.
16:37Didn't have any enemies.
16:40Gave back to the community.
16:43Was a good kid.
16:44Andre was known in Dallas as a really upstanding individual, a role model to the youth.
17:03He was a hometown hero.
17:06Andre's story is definitely inspirational for kids in Dallas, especially in the neighborhood of Oak Cliff.
17:12That area is historically lower income and has higher than average high school dropout rates.
17:25Andre was well loved in the community because Andre was a hooper.
17:33Everyone in every neighborhood loves hooper in the urban community.
17:39Andre would go play in the parks.
17:41And that's what would made Andre relatable.
17:47He was a people's person.
17:49He just had a big smile.
17:50He lighted up the room.
17:51He had an aura about himself.
17:53You know, a lot of people looked up to Andre.
17:59Andre was very charismatic.
18:02Naturally.
18:04It wasn't something that he put on.
18:11He had, you know, an it factor about him that everybody knew about.
18:16The neighborhood kids love to see him.
18:20They thought he was a big brother.
18:25They call him big, big bro.
18:27You know, big Trey.
18:31He's a natural hero.
18:33When I say that I mean that he's always going to want to give back.
18:35He wants to do the right thing.
18:36And he's just a general giant at heart, man.
18:41Despite the video of Andre's murder, police still have no leads on the shooter.
18:57So they continue canvassing the neighborhood.
19:00They were able to locate a witness that heard the gunshots, looked out of the window of his apartment that was across the street and saw two men running into a Wright Chrysler 300 and then driving off.
19:17Security footage with a timestamp matching the door cam footage shows the white car.
19:24This video you'd rather see right now is from someone's apartment complex.
19:29And it captures the white Chrysler right here arriving.
19:36The people in the Chrysler 300 parked minutes before Andre had arrived.
19:42It's almost as if they were expecting him.
19:45And so they were only there for a few minutes before the shots happened.
19:50And then they ran back into the Chrysler and then drove away.
19:54Then you see the car drive off.
19:59This video made it that much easier to say, yes, this is in fact our suspect vehicle.
20:05Don't move.
20:07Those two individuals were waiting for Andre to rob him.
20:12No one was able to positively identify the individuals.
20:16How did they know he was going to be here?
20:19Why are they waiting?
20:21Where did they come from?
20:22Did they follow him?
20:23As police check local traffic cameras hoping to follow the Chrysler's movements, Andre's post-mortem report is released.
20:44That autopsy told the investigators that Andre was killed by a single gunshot wound.
20:54They entered his shoulder and went to his chest.
20:59One bullet. I kept seeing one bullet to the back of the shoulder.
21:04I said that one bullet would not have killed him. He was in such great shape.
21:11The kind of bullet that hit him was an RIP bullet, a radically invasive projectile that had eight prongs.
21:19That once it hit his body and got inside, those prongs spread.
21:24It went to his shoulder bone, into his lungs. I believe it hit his heart.
21:29There is a world that someone shot with a regular bullet survives.
21:39Someone who uses this kind of ammunition does not have much regard for human life.
21:45That's just a cold killer.
21:47The search for the white Chrysler draws a blank.
21:54Investigators are struggling to find new leads.
21:58Despite the police's best efforts, the search for Andre's killers went cold.
22:04September 30th, 11 a.m.
22:15The day of Andre's funeral.
22:20Crazy.
22:25The funeral, man, it was really sad, man.
22:28His mom, his aunt, the babies.
22:37They're not knowing what's really going on.
22:40I told his girls
22:47that Jesus needed a superstar.
22:51Andre, how beautiful service.
22:53And I'm glad I was able to at least touch his hand and kiss him before I was able to lay him to rest.
23:12He meant a lot to the people here in Dallas.
23:15So we had to allow the people who had supported him throughout the years to pay their respects.
23:31It was police, FBI, all over the church.
23:37It was crazy.
23:39Because the guy was still out.
23:40Andre's doorbell footage is the best evidence investigators have.
23:53Forensic video analyst Nick Barrero is routinely called to help solve difficult cases like this.
24:00Having video footage for a police investigation, not only can it corroborate what a witness may have said on the scene, it might be the only witness.
24:13And so what I do is I make that truth as clear as it possibly can be.
24:19We use a wide variety of different pieces of software to authenticate, enhance, analyze video footage.
24:40When we watch this footage back, we can see the suspect come into frame behind the victim, chasing the victim down the street here.
24:47But the suspect is almost entirely in shadow.
24:52So what I've done is I've adjusted the brightness and contrast just to see if we can get a slightly better view.
25:09So unfortunately, the level of detail in this video is not quite enough to see their faces.
25:15But there's important details that can be extracted from this with just a little bit of enhancement.
25:25We can tell that the suspect was using a handgun, likely with an extended magazine.
25:32We can see that the suspect was right handed.
25:34We can see that the suspect was wearing what appears to be a light color, maybe a gray hooded sweatshirt, whereas none of that was visible in the original unenhanced footage.
25:48We get a pretty good view of his stature, his body type, the way that he walks, the way that he runs, all of that can be critical in positively identifying the suspect.
26:02The video footage is important from the investigative side.
26:08If you don't have a suspect, you know, all of these things that we've learned about the suspect from enhancing the video can help to narrow your suspect pool, can help to eliminate suspects and help to confirm a suspect.
26:20Confirm a suspect.
26:27Police appealed directly to the public.
26:32Dallas police released video surveillance footage showing the crime, hoped that they would get tips to find out who those two people were.
26:40We cut on the TV. We all sat in the living room. And we watched the news.
26:57We saw the footage. We screamed. I grabbed my chest. Because there were so many shots fired.
27:07And again, I became very, very angry.
27:14Andre's murder in the driveway of his own home was shocking.
27:20He complied with these robbers and gave them what they wanted and then tried to flee, and they shot him in the back.
27:26And I think that that was especially really shocking for the community, that he had given these robbers what they wanted and they still took his life.
27:33It doesn't take long for tips to come in.
27:40Releasing this footage paid off so well because Andre was very well respected, but also because of the heinous nature of the offense.
27:49The way in which he was gunned down helped the public want to help out the police in this kind of investigation.
27:55Two men are mentioned by several callers, Michael Luckey and Keith Johnson.
28:05Now that we had names in this investigation and we have a white Chrysler, what became of the paramount importance is identifying and linking somebody, these names, to that white Chrysler.
28:17The police were able to identify that Keith Johnson had a girlfriend who had recently purchased a Chrysler 300 from a used auto dealership.
28:34It's a significant break. She's brought in for questioning.
28:40What I'm going to talk to you about is a murder, okay?
28:43It's a murder case.
28:44Murder?
28:45Yeah. So this is the case about the basketball player, Andre Hammond.
28:50They shot and killed him after he gave him their stuff, right? And he took off running, okay?
28:55Now I also released that the car that they used was a white Chrysler 300, okay? And I've got the car on video, leaving the scene, okay? So I know you're the owner of the car.
29:07But that car been stolen. I can't report no stolen car. I ain't even using the real information to get the car. I can't report no stolen.
29:20Police know this claim is false, as the car was sold with a GPS tracking unit.
29:28Your car had a tracker on it, okay? And that tracker shows everywhere the car went, okay?
29:37So with this GPS tracker, the GPS data showed that that Chrysler 300 was around club theory, the club that Andre had been at that night he was murdered.
29:48And it showed that that Chrysler followed Andre from club theory to the Whataburger and then back to his home.
29:59As great of information as this GPS tracking data was, it still didn't tell us who killed Andre.
30:09But the Chrysler's tracker does reveal something else.
30:12The police eventually discover, through the tracking of Chrysler 300's movements, that it was taken to a salvage yard or what's commonly referred to as a chop shop.
30:27And that Keith Johnson and Michael Lucky had driven that Chrysler 300 there and asked that it be destroyed.
30:33Using the tracker's last known location leads police to the man they believe helped dispose of the car.
30:46Tell me what you did with the car.
30:49We just parted the car out, sir.
30:52So you parted the car out?
30:53Yes, sir.
30:54Okay. Where did you take the parts?
30:56Like, I just, like, sold them at different places, different people.
31:01Now, with regards to the car, where's the body? Where's the body?
31:08I sold it.
31:09What junkyard do I need to go to to find the frame?
31:12The...
31:17The sunshine.
31:19Sunshine.
31:20Police head straight to the auto parts scrap yard.
31:29Where they find the crushed body of the Chrysler.
31:33So, this became a huge breakthrough because based on the fact that people fit in the description of Keith Johnson and Michael Lucky destroyed that Chrysler 300.
31:42And the fact that there were tips that they were the individuals in the surveillance video, we now had evidence linking them to the murder.
31:53Police waste no time.
31:5732-year-old Keith Johnson
32:01and 29-year-old Michael Lucky
32:05are arrested on suspicion of murder.
32:08Keith Johnson was already in jail on suspicion of prior crimes.
32:13Michael Lucky turned himself in on a warrant.
32:18I think for the police, this was a huge success.
32:21You started with a case that had few leads, a little bit of camera footage.
32:27You get the public involved.
32:29And now you have two individuals arrested for Andre Emmett's murder.
32:33Then the case takes a dramatic turn.
32:40Tips come in saying a third person was involved in Andre's killing.
32:48I did some searching.
32:50And I came up with some valuable information.
32:55I did go down to Dallas police with audio video where there's people stating clearly from a certain part of town saying,
33:05hey, this guy was the one that did it.
33:08Tips were coming in that Keith Johnson and Michael Lucky were in the car and involved in the planned robbery,
33:16but that neither one of them was the actual shooter.
33:22These tips were coming from people with extensive criminal history.
33:26I believe the fact that Andre was so well respected, even known criminals are trying to help the police out.
33:32One name stands out.
33:3823-year-old Larry Jenkins.
33:41They had been ringing that name for a while, Larry Jenkins.
33:47People have been saying that he was the one.
33:50The individual stated that he had heard whispers on the street that Larry was involved and he was the one that shot Andre.
34:02And so that person had met up with Larry a few days later at a smoke shop.
34:07And he asked him, why did he shoot that man he already had his valuables?
34:11And he said he shouldn't have run and that he'd do it again.
34:16Another witness who knows Larry Jenkins comes forward.
34:22I don't like it as people who kill people.
34:25I just don't like it.
34:26And it bothers me.
34:28You know what I'm saying? Especially this deal.
34:29Look, let me show you this.
34:30Okay, so you see, uh, he's, he's already here, but let me just play it.
34:38He just wasn't thinking, he said, he hits it.
34:40He just wasn't thinking, he said, he hits it.
34:46Yeah, that's Larry was right there. Give me everything, just Larry.
34:50Now I'm gonna hit him in the face with the gun.
34:53So you see, he's taking the necklace off.
34:55Yeah.
34:56He's handing it over.
34:57Who's he handed it to?
34:59He'll keep you up.
35:02Where was Mike now?
35:04There's Larry, Mike, Mike, in the car.
35:05He was able to identify Larry Jenkins' voice as being the shooter.
35:15Jenkins is brought in for questioning.
35:19So we got a lot of people that are calling in saying, you know, man, that, that guy's voice. That's, that's Larry Jenkins. Okay.
35:29I ain't, I wasn't, I wasn't, what? I ain't did nothing about, I'm telling the truth, sir. I heard, I heard about it. Everybody talking about it. Everybody say they, they did some crazy. But I ain't got nothing to do with me, sir. I promise you don't.
35:46All right. So you don't have any information on this case?
35:49Yes, sir. I want to throw on the way.
35:51Okay.
35:52Besides what the news is.
35:53Like I said, I just wanted to let you know that you're, you're a potential suspect in this case. Okay?
35:59Police believe Larry Jenkins is their shooter.
36:09But to build a case, they need more.
36:13So they access his phone to trace his movements the night Andre was killed.
36:20Cell Hawk is an amazing piece of software.
36:25It allows investigators to see suspects movements in a way that was never possible before.
36:34Everybody that's walking around with a cell phone in their pocket is essentially walking around with a tracking device.
36:41Every time your cell phone interacts with the cell tower, it's logging that location.
36:48And it can actually animate this trail on a map so you can see visually in real time exactly where this device was,
37:02creating a timeline of everywhere that that cell phone has gone and the time that it was there.
37:10When they placed the information in the cell hall, they were able to see that Larry Jenkins' phone number identically tracking Chrysler 300's GPS location the night of the murder.
37:29Not only do you have two witnesses who identified that Larry Jenkins stated that he shot him, but you now have information that shows that Larry Jenkins' phone is following that Project 300.
37:44This is why we now had enough.
37:46This is why we now had enough to charge Larry Jenkins with capital murder.
37:51The three suspects are all charged with murder.
38:00The three suspects are all charged with murder.
38:04Larry Jenkins is the first to face trial.
38:08He pleads not guilty.
38:10He pleads not guilty.
38:23My thoughts going into the trial was this has got to be the end.
38:33The jury has to see what criminal act was committed toward an innocent person who did nothing.
38:46I could not lose this case.
38:50It was important for me to secure justice for Andre.
38:57Seeing the guy, I couldn't sit still.
39:07I was a nervous wreck.
39:10I couldn't take my eyes off the back of his head.
39:15The first big piece of evidence that we introduced was, of course, the surveillance video.
39:22Don't move.
39:23Don't move.
39:24That piece of evidence was super important because it showed just the brazenness of the robbery.
39:32That was going to be powerful for the jury to understand.
39:37These people got what they wanted.
39:39They robbed him.
39:41But they didn't have to kill him.
39:43It's heartbreaking.
39:46The fact that he died behind some material, for me, is heartbreaking.
39:52Andre gave you the jury to shoot him in the back after you already have what you came for.
40:05When we played that piece of evidence of the surveillance for the jury, you could look over and see they were mortified.
40:16It just puts a stamp on why he should never see the light of day again.
40:21When you look at all the evidence, you basically get a diversion of events that Michael Lucky, Keith Johnson, and Larry Jenkins followed Andre to the club, knew that he had expensive jewelry.
40:38They followed him back to his home.
40:41They went up to rob him.
40:44Andre gave him his jewelry.
40:46Then he ran.
40:47Then he ran.
40:48And that's when Larry opened fire shooting at him.
40:51And when you go through all the motives, it's pure and simple.
40:56Just greed.
41:01The trial lasts four days.
41:08The jury find Larry Jenkins guilty of capital murder.
41:14I looked across the courtroom to Andre's mother, and she was hunched forward, crying softly.
41:24And I can't imagine what that moment was like for her to secure a conviction, but know that her son was not going to be coming home.
41:35To me, looking at him, knowing what he had did, he didn't look remorseful.
41:44Not at all.
41:45He had no heart.
41:48He had no soul.
41:51The video footage was a major role in this case and the cornerstone of the prosecution's case at trial.
42:08The prevalence of ring doorbells, Arlo cameras, Nest cameras, that footage has proved pivotal in so many criminal investigations that the world that we live in,
42:20the world that we live in now, I'm not going to say it's impossible to commit a crime and not be captured on video somewhere, but it's practically impossible.
42:31Jenkins is sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
42:38I think he got what he deserves.
42:40Life in prison.
42:41You have to be behind bars.
42:42You can't see and be out in the world.
42:45I'm sure he's going to run into some Andre Emmett fans in prison.
42:57So he will be constantly reminded of the horrible, horrific thing that he did to our family.
43:10This event didn't just result in Andre Emmett's loss.
43:17A mother lost her son.
43:20A community lost a local hero.
43:22But most importantly, two little girls, they lost their dad.
43:26That's the totality of what happened when these individuals took Andre's life.
43:32Jenkins' accomplice, Keith Johnson, takes a plea deal and is convicted of aggravated robbery and sentenced to 20 years.
43:51Murder charges against Michael Luckey are dropped.
43:54Andre being a local hero, a city legend of Dallas, Texas, they took one of their own.
44:11Andre grew up maybe a block or two away.
44:15And we would come here in the past and play pickup games, you know, just have fun in the summertime and stuff like that.
44:24Today, this basketball court in Oak Cliff, Dallas, pays tribute to Andre.
44:32The city knew that Andre played here a lot.
44:34It was named after him, you know, just in honor of, you know, the person he was and the athlete that he was.
44:42The most important memory on this court specifically was the day that they opened it as Dre's Court.
44:50Long live Dre!
44:52This whole place was packed.
44:54The city stepped out for Andre on that day.
45:00He'd be happy to know that there's something with his name on it in his community, right where he grew up at, right near his high school, where kids can go and enjoy themselves.
45:10I've seen more kids trinkle in playing in full court.
45:15And so to see that and to know when they say, where are y'all going to go play basketball at today?
45:20They're going to say, we're going to Andre in this court, right?
45:23That's the part that, like, makes my heart smile.
45:26That's the part where I'm like, good job, well done, Andre.
45:30There we go.
45:31I'm so grateful to have him 37 years.
45:37He was a big part of me.
45:47He'll be forever remembered, forever loved.
45:59I just miss him so much.
46:02My angel.
46:04He is my angel.
46:06He is.
46:08He is.
46:09He is.
46:38He is.
46:40He is.
46:41He is.

47:04He can anger his adventures.
