00:00What makes a crew?
00:01What is different about a crew than a team?
00:04And I was like, I got this.
00:06Opened my mouth confidently to tell them everything I knew about being a crewmate.
00:10And everything that came out of my mouth was completely without value.
00:15I was like, yeah, crews, they're, you know, they're in space.
00:20And they work together.
00:23But they eat together too.
00:24So, you know, they're a crew.
00:27And boats have crews.
00:28You know, your crew, if you're on a boat, helps if you have a paddle.
00:32That's, that'll be good.
00:33That'll make you a crew.
00:35But the last 10 days, I've gotten a little bit of a better answer on that question.
00:43A crew is people or, you know, a group that is in it all the time, no matter what.
00:53That is stroking together every minute with the same purpose.
00:57That is willing to sacrifice silently for each other.
01:02That gives grace.
01:04That holds accountable.
01:08A crew has the same cares and the same needs.
01:11And a crew is inescapably, beautifully, dutifully linked.
01:24So, when we saw Tiny Earth, people asked our crew what impressions we had.
01:33And honestly, what struck me wasn't necessarily just Earth.
01:39It was all the blackness around it.
01:43Earth was just this lifeboat hanging undisturbingly in the universe.
02:00Uh-oh.
02:11So, I may have not learned, I know I haven't learned, everything that this journey has yet to teach me.
02:20But there's one new thing I know, and that is, planet Earth, you are a crew.
02:30Thank you.
02:36You guys got it.
02:37You guys got it.
02:37Cut it out.
02:38This is a box.
02:40Thank you.
02:41Gracias.
