00:00It was always a tall order to expect these talks to achieve a breakthrough in such a short space
00:05of time. The grounds for optimism are that this is the first time for many years when the United
00:12States and Iran have been around the same table. So there's clearly a willingness to negotiate,
00:19a willingness to negotiate an end to this war, and ultimately it's only going to end through
00:25negotiation. The nature of diplomacy is that every day ends in failure until you achieve success.
00:32So while these talks haven't yet succeeded, that doesn't mean we should give up hope or optimism
00:37that there can be a breakthrough, and that's what we hope the Americans and the Iranians will work towards.
