00:00On an evening prayer service in St. Peter's Basilica,
00:04the public of 14 denounced the delusion of omnipotence
00:07fueling of the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
00:10He urged political leaders to stop the aggression
00:12and negotiate peace, and call all people of good,
00:16pray for peace, and demand an end to the war
00:18from their political leaders.
00:27Brothers and sisters, those who pray
00:30are aware of their own limitations.
00:32They do not kill or threaten with death.
00:35Instead, death enslaves those who have turned their backs
00:39on the living God, turning themselves and their own power
00:44into mute, blind, and deaf-idol,
00:47to which they sacrifice every value,
00:50demanding that the whole world bend its knee,
00:54enough of the idolatry of self and money,
00:57enough of the display of power,
00:59enough of war.
01:01Dear brothers and sisters,
01:03there are certainly binding responsibilities
01:06that fall to the leaders of nations.
01:09To them we cry out,
01:11stop it, it is time for peace.
01:14Sit at the table of dialogue and meditation,
01:18not at the table where rearrangement is planned
01:20and deadly actions are decided.
01:23Yet there is no less significant responsibility
01:27that fall to all of us,
01:29men and women from all over the world.
01:32We are an immense multitude that rejects war,
01:36not only in words, but also in deed.
