00:01:30Needs more mashing
00:01:32Anyone want a taste?
00:01:34In a second, Strawberry
00:01:35I've got one more bow to curl
00:01:43Anyone here good at uncurling?
00:01:46I would if I could, but I'm wrapped tight myself
00:01:50This is going to be the best first frost ever
00:01:53Just wait until I wrap my gift in this
00:01:57Oh, excuse me, girls
00:01:59I don't wish to intrude on your get-together
00:02:01You mean, gift-together?
00:02:06Don't go, Mr. Longface
00:02:07Come on in
00:02:08We're just finishing up making our wrapping paper
00:02:10And I need to mash the applesauce some more
00:02:13Oh, if only I had a good masher
00:02:16Would you like a taste, Mr. Longface?
00:02:18Oh, no, thank you, Miss Shortcake
00:02:20I don't care for applesauce, sorry to say
00:02:22Just some tea, please
00:02:31Here you go
00:02:32Thank you very much
00:02:36Perfect
00:02:37I noticed that the whole town seems to be gearing up for something special today
00:02:41Do you know what that would be?
00:02:44He doesn't know?
00:02:46It's First Frost
00:02:48First Frost?
00:02:49Never heard of it
00:02:50Is that like Seconds Helllings?
00:02:53Oh, Muffin Crumbs, I forgot
00:02:54You haven't been in Berry Bitty City long enough to know what First Frost is
00:02:58Wow, it's his first, first frost
00:03:03Why, it's just the biggest day ever
00:03:06Actually, astronomically speaking, it's one of the smallest days
00:03:10In that it's one of the shortest days due to the sun rising late and setting early
00:03:16Uh, being winter and all
00:03:19As you were saying
00:03:21When winter comes, there's a huge, special glimmerberry harvest
00:03:26Everyone carves berry lanterns
00:03:29And we have a glimmerberry ball
00:03:31It signifies the first sign of winter time of year
00:03:34It's tradition
00:03:35And you give presents?
00:03:39Oh, no, that's just a fun little custom we girls have
00:03:42The Berrykins and the Bumblebees and everyone have First Frost traditions
00:03:47Giving presents is ours
00:03:50Secret presents
00:03:51We each pick a name of one another
00:03:54And then we secretly give a gift to that person
00:03:56Without them seeing which of us gave it
00:03:59Last year, I got a new yellow and pink comforter
00:04:01And I got a mile-long scarf with sparkles
00:04:05Leg warmers for dancing on cold days
00:04:07A beautiful chest set
00:04:10With multiple modeling clay pieces
00:04:12A retractable step ladder
00:04:14Can't wait
00:04:16We'll get this, me too
00:04:17That sounds wonderful
00:04:21I think Mr. Longface might be feeling left out
00:04:24Let's invite him to be part of our secret gifting
00:04:27That's so sweet
00:04:29Yes, let's
00:04:31Mr. Longface, would you like to join our gift-giving tradition?
00:04:36Oh, my, I really don't think
00:04:38You needn't
00:04:40Please say yes, Mr. Longface
00:04:41We'd love it if you were part of our little tradition
00:04:43Well, then
00:04:45I'd be honored
00:04:49Great
00:04:50But could I ask a favor?
00:04:52May we borrow your hat?
00:04:54My, my hat?
00:04:58Okay, everyone drop your name into the hat
00:05:02You too, Mr. Longface
00:05:04Oh, this is so exciting
00:05:07Around and around our names all go
00:05:10Who gets whose is a secret that no one may know
00:05:18Oh, I wonder who I got
00:05:23Me too
00:05:27Me, three
00:05:30And now for you, Mr. Longface
00:05:34Hooray!
00:05:36Hooray!
00:05:40Lemon!
00:05:41Oh, she's going to love this
00:05:43One thousand and one ways to keep your books organized
00:05:47This is going to be the best first frost gift ever
00:05:53A whole chapter on how to stack books vertically
00:05:57Ten chapters on how to reorganize your books after they've fallen off a shelf
00:06:04No, no, no
00:06:05I have to give this gift to Lemon
00:06:09It's her gift
00:06:18Don't let anyone see you
00:06:19Don't let anyone see you
00:06:21So, I was thinking maybe the green stripe would look better
00:06:27Shh, did you hear something?
00:06:30Uh, no
00:06:31Oh, I thought I heard something
00:06:54Hello?
00:06:56Oh, my
00:06:57That's the biggest first frost gift I've ever seen
00:07:02Come to Lemon
00:07:06I can't wait to see what secret gift I get
00:07:09Though it can't be nearly as great as the one I gave Lemon
00:07:13Oh, I wonder what it is
00:07:19Wow, a book
00:07:22A book about organizing books?
00:07:27Chapter 72
00:07:28Big books and little books together on one shelf
00:07:31Not as impossible as it seems
00:07:33Oh, what am I going to do with this?
00:07:39But it is the biggest first frost gift ever
00:07:44I got it
00:07:45This is the perfect secret gift for my secret giftie
00:07:49Plum
00:07:53She's gonna love it
00:08:02So, you know
00:08:04I just thought and thought about what to give my secret giftie
00:08:08Mr. Long Face
00:08:10Something he would really, really like
00:08:14Thanks, Pub Cake
00:08:16And then it hit me
00:08:17A plant
00:08:19For the entrance to his croquet club
00:08:21And I know just the perfect plant
00:08:27Oops, I almost forgot my rope
00:08:41Wow
00:08:42That's the most ginormous first frost gift I've ever seen
00:08:50I knew that was a good choice for Plum
00:08:54Oh, nice
00:08:56A book
00:08:59Chapter 137
00:09:00Sorting your encyclopedias
00:09:02The A to Z of how to and how not to
00:09:07Hmm
00:09:08Maybe not exactly the most must-have gift I've ever received for first frost
00:09:13I know
00:09:15My secret giftie Orange likes to sort things
00:09:17I bet she's loved things
00:09:27Indeed, yes
00:09:28It is getting chilly these days, Miss Jadiebug
00:09:31You know
00:09:32I have an extra hat you could borrow
00:09:34Very warm
00:09:45Oh
00:09:46Ow
00:09:49Here
00:09:52Huh
00:10:00Hello?
00:10:01Well, hello
00:10:03Ha ha ha
00:10:04Aren't you the most wonderfully oversized first frost gift?
00:10:09Grab
00:10:10And move
00:10:12Grab
00:10:14And move
00:10:16Here it is
00:10:20Mr. Longface will be thrilled when he sees his gift
00:10:24And I'm gonna get it for him
00:10:27No matter what
00:10:32Ta-da!
00:10:33Raspberry will love a gift
00:10:36This big
00:10:37She could use it as a footstool when she sews
00:10:40Or to hide a refrigerator
00:10:44I did it!
00:10:45Oh, Mr. Longface is gonna love you, little plant
00:10:48Huh?
00:10:49Huh?
00:10:50Ah-choo!
00:10:52Oh, muffin crumbs
00:10:55Oh, hibiscus always makes my nose itch
00:11:00Okay, let her down
00:11:07Blueberry is going to flip over getting such a great big book
00:11:10Blueberry is going to flip over getting such a great big book
00:11:13She loves books
00:11:15Oh!
00:11:16Hey, thanks guys
00:11:19I wonder who that could be
00:11:22Hello?
00:11:23Is anybody
00:11:24Out there?
00:11:26Wow!
00:11:27That's the most incredibly gigantic enormously splendiferous first frost gift I've ever seen!
00:11:35Ugh!
00:11:37Ugh!
00:11:41Just what I always wanted!
00:11:43Oh, look at this!
00:11:45And this!
00:11:47Oh, cross-referencing by data printing!
00:11:50Who would have thought of that?
00:11:53Wait a second
00:11:54This is the book I gave to Lemon
00:11:56Didn't she like it?
00:11:58And how did it get back to me?
00:12:00I'm going to get to the bottom of this!
00:12:02Secret gift or no secret gift
00:12:09So, Lemon, um, how about this first frost, huh?
00:12:13It was as first frosty as a first frost can be, I thought
00:12:16Very firsty, as a matter of fact
00:12:18And our presents
00:12:20Oh, I've already given, yes I did
00:12:22First frost thing in the morning, actually
00:12:24Really?
00:12:25Wow!
00:12:26Well, um, not me
00:12:28I haven't given my secret gift yet
00:12:31So you couldn't be my secret giftie
00:12:33So you can tell me what you got
00:12:34Cause I didn't give it to you
00:12:35Right?
00:12:45What?
00:12:46I said
00:12:47What?
00:12:53I said that I got a very big gift, but it wasn't quite right for me
00:12:56And it was too big to store in the slot
00:12:58So I gave it to Plum who has more space in her studio
00:13:01Plum!
00:13:02A cup!
00:13:03Where are you going?
00:13:04You haven't been rinsed!
00:13:07Very good!
00:13:08Very good!
00:13:08And one, two, three
00:13:09One, two, three
00:13:11Twirl, two, three
00:13:12Twirl, two, three
00:13:13Twirl, two, three
00:13:14So, two, three
00:13:15Um, two, three
00:13:16Did you get your secret gift, two, three?
00:13:19Well, two, three
00:13:20Really?
00:13:21Two, three
00:13:22I don't have it anymore
00:13:24Two, three
00:13:24One, two, three
00:13:26What?
00:13:26Two, three
00:13:27I kinda felt my giftie would have more use for it
00:13:31Two, three
00:13:32Since she's always sorting stuff
00:13:34Two, three
00:13:36Oh no!
00:13:37I gave it away!
00:13:39Now you'll know who my secret giftie is
00:13:42You mean orange?
00:13:43Sorting?
00:13:45Yeah
00:13:45Don't worry, I won't help
00:13:47Where are you going?
00:13:49We still have the foxtrot to practice
00:13:52Oh, it was tense, I'm telling you
00:13:55I zig-zagged past the café
00:13:57Ducked into the bushes
00:13:59Sneaked through the gazebo
00:14:02Hit under the bridge
00:14:03Doubled back and I was there
00:14:05Nobody ever saw me
00:14:07And then I carefully set my gift down
00:14:11Knocked on the door
00:14:12And ran
00:14:13And what was your gift?
00:14:15Well, it was something I felt my giftie might use to rest her feet on while she's sewing
00:14:21Oops!
00:14:23I guess I gave away who my giftie was
00:14:26I don't have a clue
00:14:27But I have to run
00:14:28See you later
00:14:34Wait a minute
00:14:35So Raspberry got the book from Orange
00:14:37Who got the book from Plum
00:14:39Who got the book from Lemon
00:14:41Who got the book from me?
00:14:42Did Raspberry give the book to me?
00:14:44Or did Strawberry?
00:14:46And what about Mr. Longface?
00:14:49Oh, I forgot about Mr. Longface
00:14:52This is very complicated
00:14:54I can't believe no one liked my gift
00:14:57I know I did
00:14:58I know I did
00:15:01Strawberry?
00:15:03Oh
00:15:05Achoo!
00:15:06Don't look! Don't look!
00:15:08Oh, I'm sorry Strawberry
00:15:10I guess I spoiled your secret
00:15:12Don't worry, you're not my secret giftie
00:15:14It's Mr. Longface
00:15:16But Strawberry, hibiscus makes your nose it
00:15:19Achoo!
00:15:20I know
00:15:21But it's not a gift for me
00:15:23Mr. Longface has been wanting one for the entrance to his club
00:15:25And I just knew it would be the perfect gift for him
00:15:29Oh!
00:15:30That's very thoughtful of you
00:15:33What's the matter, Blueberry?
00:15:35You seem kind of sad
00:15:36You, um, didn't happen to get a big gift that was a big book that you didn't like big time
00:15:44Excuse me?
00:15:45No one liked my first Frost gift
00:15:48See, I had this book on sorting books that I thought was great
00:15:51So I gave it to Lemon after wrapping it up all in yellow paper and yellow bow
00:15:55And then Raspberry gave it to me with blue wrapping paper on it and a blue bow
00:15:59Unless it was Mr. Longface, but I don't think it was
00:16:02So, no one liked my gift
00:16:06I'm so sorry, Blueberry
00:16:07A book is a wonderful gift
00:16:10That's what I thought
00:16:11But maybe if it's for Lemon
00:16:14It should be a book about something she likes
00:16:17Like watercolor painting or skin care
00:16:20You know how much Lemon likes those things
00:16:23Oh, oh!
00:16:25You're right, Strawberry
00:16:27I was thinking about what kind of gift I would like
00:16:30Not Lemon
00:16:31Not very first Frost of me
00:16:34You know, I know a book Lemon would like
00:16:37I'd better get it wrapped and give it to her right now
00:16:41Well, I'm glad that's settled
00:16:44Achoo!
00:16:45I'd better get this to Mr. Longface
00:16:47Right now
00:16:52Hi, Blueberry
00:16:53Come back to let me finish your hair?
00:16:55Um, no, Lemon
00:16:57Uh, I know this is supposed to be secret
00:17:00But I need to give this gift to you in person
00:17:02And explain why
00:17:04But what for?
00:17:06It's for First Frost
00:17:07But, uh, uh, I already got a secret gift
00:17:11I know, I gave it to you
00:17:13But it wasn't a secret gift that you would like
00:17:16It was something I would like
00:17:18So, here's a secret gift I think you'll like
00:17:24Oh, Blueberry
00:17:25The very big book of bountiful braiding
00:17:28Just what I always wanted
00:17:30That's the perfect first Frost gift for me
00:17:33Uh-oh
00:17:34Uh-oh what?
00:17:36Uh-oh, I just realized I didn't give Plum the perfect first Frost gift
00:17:39I just gave her the book you gave me
00:17:41I know
00:17:41Sorry, Blueberry
00:17:43Wait! I have just the thing for Plum
00:18:24Blue stationery with matching blue pen!
00:18:27Oh, raspberry!
00:18:28This is the very best first Frost gift ever!
00:18:32Oh!
00:18:33Oh, you know, I am so relieved to hear that
00:18:36I was worried you wouldn't like it as much as the very big book on book sorting
00:18:40This gift is even better
00:18:42Because it shows me that you really thought about what I like
00:18:45Something only a friend would know
00:18:53Oh!
00:18:53Use of this great!
00:18:55Oh!
00:18:55Wonderful!
00:18:58Beautiful!
00:19:00Oh, that's lovely, raspberry
00:19:01And look how high you can go, orange
00:19:04And those shoes really make you dance even better, Plum
00:19:09I can't wait!
00:19:10I can't wait!
00:19:10I can't wait!
00:19:11Oh, this is great!
00:19:11Yes!
00:19:13Ahem
00:19:15Um, I know that this has been a strange first Frost
00:19:18And I just wanted to apologize
00:19:21For not thinking of my friend Lemon when I gave her a gift
00:19:25And I want to apologize to Plum
00:19:27And I want to apologize to Orange
00:19:30Oh, and I want to apologize to Raspberry
00:19:34Oh, and I want to apologize to Blueberry
00:19:37Do you forgive me?
00:19:39Yes!
00:19:44I know I'll always think about the person I'm going to give a gift to in the future
00:19:49And not myself
00:19:50Me too!
00:19:52Now that's what I call a great first Frost
00:19:56Oh, but hey, Strawberry, you never showed us your secret gift
00:20:00Yeah!
00:20:05A super-duper apple masher! Just what I always wanted
00:20:09Mr. Longface must have gotten it for you
00:20:12And he doesn't even like applesauce
00:20:15Aw!
00:20:16Isn't that sweet?
00:20:17Oh, what a nice gift!
00:20:18And so thoughtful
00:20:20He gave a gift he knew you needed and would love
00:20:23Seems like we could learn something from Mr. Longface
00:20:26Yeah, that's right
00:20:27That's right
00:20:29Achoo!
00:20:30Happy first Frost, Miss Shortcake
00:20:32Thank you so much for my apple masher, Mr. Longface
00:20:36You're very well
00:20:38But I thought it was a secret
00:20:40Some gifts are so thoughtful, they can't be kept secret
00:20:45And what did you get, Mr. Longface?
00:20:48I must admit that I have not received any gift at all
00:20:51Did I do something wrong?
00:20:54Maybe there was some form I forgot to fill out
00:20:58Hmm...
00:20:58Maybe you should check your hat
00:21:00And see if your name got accidentally left in there
00:21:04My hat?
00:21:07Ahem
00:21:09Oh, my goodness
00:21:13Oh!
00:21:16This is the best gift I could have gotten
00:21:19And your smile is the best gift I could have gotten
00:21:23Happy first Frost, everyone
00:21:26Ah...
00:21:27Achoo!
00:21:33All right, folks
00:21:35This is where it happens
00:21:37Right here
00:21:38The whole town's gonna show up right here
00:21:41For the Glimmerberry Gathering
00:21:43So we want this place spotless
00:21:48Now, everybody, look lively
00:21:50Look lively
00:21:51Come on, let's move it, move it
00:21:54Move it, folks
00:21:57I'll get it
00:21:58Don't need any help
00:22:00I can do it
00:22:02We're working on this together
00:22:05All of us
00:22:06We are gonna need some extra hands on this one
00:22:15All righty now, folks
00:22:17On the count of three
00:22:20One...
00:22:22Three...
00:22:23Three...
00:22:27Two...
00:22:39That's it
00:22:40That's the last of them
00:22:42Good job, fairy kids
00:22:44Good job
00:22:58Well, not bad, not bad.
00:23:19What do you think?
00:23:21They're to celebrate first frost.
00:23:28Oh, this has to be my most favorite season of the year.
00:23:33Okay now, let's make this whole place sparkle.
00:24:03Oh, looks like we have some very cold weather moving in.
00:24:09Here, let me help.
00:24:11We'll get it done faster if we work together.
00:24:26Oh, looks like some sort of old box.
00:24:33I wonder what's in this.
00:24:39Sorry.
00:24:42There's a book in here.
00:24:43The one we used to read for first frost.
00:24:48Yes, here it is.
00:24:50It tells all about the first winter in Berry Bitty City.
00:24:53I bet everybody would love to hear it again.
00:24:56I'll read it here in the cafe and invite everyone in Berry Bitty City.
00:25:00Come on, you two can help.
00:25:14Raspberry.
00:25:15Raspberry.
00:25:17Raspberry.
00:25:18You in here?
00:25:21Raspberry.
00:25:23Just a minute, strawberry.
00:25:25Aha!
00:25:26Found it.
00:25:27What's all this?
00:25:28Well, I'm finishing up my winter fashion.
00:25:32It's very beautiful.
00:25:34So original.
00:25:36So one of a kind.
00:25:38Oh, thanks.
00:25:39I've been putting my whole heart into this entire collection.
00:25:44You outdo yourself every year, Raspberry.
00:25:47I just feel, what's the point of doing something unless it's the best?
00:25:52So, I'm not stopping till I get it totally, completely, absolutely right.
00:25:58Like you said, I really want to make something original, one of a kind, never been seen before.
00:26:05Well, come on, Custard and Pupcake.
00:26:08We better let Raspberry work.
00:26:11Oh, I'm having a reading tonight at the cafe.
00:26:14I'd really like it if you could come.
00:26:16Huh?
00:26:17Oh, oh yes, of course.
00:26:19I'll be there.
00:26:22Pupcake?
00:26:36Oh!
00:26:37Here they come!
00:26:41Oh, hi, Strawberry!
00:26:43Hello!
00:26:44That's strawberry, Strawberry?
00:26:45Glad you could make it.
00:26:47Oh, thanks for coming.
00:26:48Come on in.
00:26:49Take a seat anywhere you like.
00:26:51Oh, I'm so looking forward to this strawberry.
00:26:54In the old days, this was my favorite part of First Frost.
00:27:03This is a very fun time of year, with celebrations and the Glimmerberry Ball and Glimmerberry Gathering.
00:27:10But sometimes, maybe we forget how important it is.
00:27:17That's why we always used to read this book, The Great Glimmerberry Gathering.
00:27:23It tells the story of the very first First Frost.
00:27:27Long ago, when Berry Bitty City was a berry bitty place, everyone worked hard to help the new town grow.
00:27:35Together, they planted the seeds that would become the beautiful, bountiful Berry Grove.
00:27:41But the first winter of that first year was not easy.
00:27:46The weather turned quite cold.
00:27:47Some of the townsfolk were trapped in their houses by snowdrifts, and others had to dig them out.
00:27:54Some townsfolk ran low on food they stored for winters, and others shared what they had.
00:27:59As the days went by, it only grew colder.
00:28:03And colder!
00:28:05And colder still.
00:28:07It looked like the young Berry plants might die.
00:28:11That's when the first Glimmerberry was carved, and made into a beautiful, glowing lantern.
00:28:17Because it was important to...
00:28:19Wow!
00:28:20They've been carving Glimmerberries that long?
00:28:23That's right!
00:28:24For many years.
00:28:25I have no idea!
00:28:26We are!
00:28:26And so today, when we take the carved berries to the field...
00:28:29I never knew there was a real reason for it!
00:28:32I thought we did it because it's fun!
00:28:34It is fun!
00:28:35But it's also important because...
00:28:37This year, I'm going to carve the most beautiful berry ever!
00:28:41Of course!
00:28:42We have to remember why we carved the berries.
00:28:45See, in the story, it says...
00:28:47Oh!
00:28:48I'm going to start work on my daring design right now!
00:28:51Oh!
00:28:52Me too!
00:28:52Me too!
00:28:53But don't you want to hear the rest of it?
00:28:54Oh yeah, but...
00:28:55I really want to get working on some designs.
00:28:58Why wait till the last minute?
00:28:59I am going to absolutely outdo myself this year!
00:29:04Great idea!
00:29:05Let's hurry!
00:29:05Time's wasted!
00:29:06Gotta get busy!
00:29:07This is gonna be so much fun!
00:29:10But...
00:29:14I guess they didn't think the story was so important.
00:29:18I'm sorry, Princess Berrykin.
00:29:21Maybe the time wasn't right.
00:29:23But someday, Strawberry, you'll help them see the real reason for the gathering.
00:29:27I know you will!
00:29:37Hmm...
00:29:38Good!
00:29:39But not good enough!
00:29:41Not original!
00:29:43One of a kind!
00:29:44Never been seen before enough!
00:29:52Hmm...
00:29:53I'm going to put my whole heart into this one!
00:29:56It's gotta be the greatest!
00:29:58Most of you...
00:30:02Hmm...
00:30:03No!
00:30:04That's not it!
00:30:08Aha!
00:30:09Yes!
00:30:10Oh yes!
00:30:11I think I'm onto something!
00:30:14A little bit more here!
00:30:16A little bit less there!
00:30:20That's it!
00:30:21I bet no one has ever seen a design like this before!
00:30:25Ha ha!
00:30:27Ha ha!
00:30:28Ha ha!
00:30:33Raspberry?
00:30:36What?
00:30:37Is that your glimmerberry design?
00:30:40No!
00:30:40I mean...
00:30:41Maybe?
00:30:42I mean...
00:30:43I don't know!
00:30:44I mean...
00:30:45Why?
00:30:47I was just asking!
00:30:48I didn't see it!
00:30:50Not even for half a second!
00:30:52Well...
00:30:52Maybe half a half second!
00:30:54But that's not why I stopped by!
00:30:55Ha ha!
00:30:56I just want it to be a surprise!
00:30:59Ha ha!
00:30:59I understand!
00:31:00I want my design to be a surprise too!
00:31:02I just wanted to ask if I could borrow some drawing paper so I could make my glimmerberry design!
00:31:07I have it in my head!
00:31:08But if I don't draw it soon, it might disappear!
00:31:11Ha ha!
00:31:12Of course!
00:31:13That's how my idea came to me!
00:31:15It just seemed to...
00:31:17magically...
00:31:18pop into my head!
00:31:19Ha ha!
00:31:19Ha ha!
00:31:20Here you are!
00:31:25Ooh!
00:31:25This one seems pretty good!
00:31:27Nice shape!
00:31:28Right size!
00:31:29I think I'll go for it!
00:31:31How about you, Strawberry?
00:31:33Any luck?
00:31:34I'm leaning toward this one!
00:31:36What do you think?
00:31:37It's a beauty, all right!
00:31:41Huh?
00:31:42Hey, Raspberry!
00:31:44Have you picked a glimmerberry to carve for the gathering?
00:31:46Oh!
00:31:46Uh, yes, I have!
00:31:48And I better hurry home to carve it right now!
00:31:50Ha ha!
00:31:51What was that all about?
00:31:52She wants her berry to be a big surprise!
00:32:02Hey!
00:32:03Where's everybody going?
00:32:04Come on!
00:32:04Over to Strawberries!
00:32:06We're going to show each other our glimmerberry designs!
00:32:09Are you coming, Raspberry?
00:32:10Ha ha!
00:32:11Ha ha!
00:32:11Okay!
00:32:12Ha ha!
00:32:13But I'm certainly sure not going to show anybody my design until my berry is carved!
00:32:19Whoa!
00:32:20I can't wait!
00:32:22Yeah!
00:32:23Oh, I love this!
00:32:25Yeah!
00:32:26Oh!
00:32:26Yeah!
00:32:26Hi there!
00:32:26Can I go first?
00:32:27Can I?
00:32:28Please?
00:32:31Sure, Plum!
00:32:32Go ahead!
00:32:32It took a while to get it just the way I wanted it!
00:32:35But, what do you think?
00:32:40It's almost exactly like mine!
00:32:44That's fantastic, Plum!
00:32:47Check this out!
00:32:48I did one sort of like...
00:32:50Hey!
00:32:51I did too!
00:32:52What do you know?
00:32:53Me too!
00:32:54Wonder how that happened?
00:32:59It happened because Orange copied my drawing!
00:33:03But, but Raspberry, I haven't even seen your drawing!
00:33:08Well, of course not!
00:33:10Then how could she have copied it?
00:33:12Well, she saw blueberries, and blueberries saw plums, and plum saw lemons, and lemon saw mine!
00:33:19You're just, uh, joking.
00:33:21Right, Raspberry?
00:33:24I do not think this is a joke!
00:33:27Now, let's stay calm, and figure this out!
00:33:31I worked very hard on that design!
00:33:34I wanted to make something special, and totally original for the Glimmerberry Gathering!
00:33:41I put my whole heart into it!
00:33:44I'm sure there's a very simple explanation!
00:33:47Of course there is!
00:33:48Everybody copied me!
00:33:50You can count me out!
00:33:53I'm not going to carve a Glimmerberry this year!
00:33:56But Raspberry, we need you!
00:33:58We can't have the Glimmerberry Gathering unless...
00:34:01Everybody's there!
00:34:08You know, I don't like to say this, but maybe Raspberry's right!
00:34:13Maybe Orange did copy my sketch!
00:34:15I didn't want to say anything either, but I was thinking lemon might have been copying too!
00:34:22I hate to even think it, but I have a feeling maybe Plum did copy my sketch!
00:34:30Uh, Strawberry?
00:34:32We have a little problem!
00:34:34I'm starting to think that there has been some copying going on!
00:34:39Oh, Plum!
00:34:39Really?
00:34:40Bootberry was hanging around my place that day and...
00:34:43I heard that!
00:34:44Am I being accused of copying?
00:34:46Look!
00:34:47I'm just saying, but it was Orange who copied me!
00:34:51I didn't copy anybody!
00:34:52Are you sure it wasn't you who copied me?
00:34:56Now, come on, everybody!
00:34:58Let's not get carried away!
00:35:00Carried away with what?
00:35:01We're talking about copying!
00:35:03I didn't copy!
00:35:04Girls, who's copying me!
00:35:05Girls, we're talking about copying!
00:35:07Who's copying who?
00:35:09And one accused the other, and on and on it went, and now...
00:35:13No one wants to carve berries.
00:35:16And without everyone cooperating together,
00:35:19While the gathering just cannot be!
00:35:23I'm afraid we'll have to cancel the celebration!
00:35:36Thanks, Custard.
00:35:38Oh, the cake.
00:35:40I know you want to help, but...
00:35:42There's nothing we can do.
00:35:45Won't be needing this anymore.
00:35:56Hey!
00:35:57Hold on a minute.
00:36:00Oh!
00:36:03Oh!
00:36:04Now it all makes sense!
00:36:07Now I know exactly what to do!
00:36:11Meeting!
00:36:13Meeting time!
00:36:14Meeting at the cafe!
00:36:16Blueberry, raspberry, orange, lemon, everybody!
00:36:18Come on over as soon as you can!
00:36:21Tell everybody!
00:36:23Anybody!
00:36:24Everybody!
00:36:25Important meeting, right now!
00:36:33What's this all about, strawberries?
00:36:35Yeah!
00:36:36What's so important we had to run over here?
00:36:38I wanted you to hear the rest of the Glimmerberry Gathering.
00:36:42We never got to finish.
00:36:44But why?
00:36:44There's not going to be a gathering this year!
00:36:48Please, everybody, just stay and listen.
00:36:52When I'm done, I think you'll understand.
00:36:55Custard?
00:36:56The lights?
00:36:57Custard?
00:37:01Custard?
00:37:02Custard?
00:37:04Custard?
00:37:05Custard?
00:37:06Custard?
00:37:07Custard?
00:37:08When that coldest of cold winters hit Berry Bitty City,
00:37:11the whole community worked hard to save the newly planted growth.
00:37:15But the weather kept growing harsher,
00:37:18and they knew the young plants weren't going to make it.
00:37:21Then, the littlest Berrykin had an idea.
00:37:25We can carve out the frozen berries we do have, he said.
00:37:29And we can put glow bugs in them.
00:37:32Why would we do that?
00:37:33The others asked.
00:37:35If we took them to the groves, he explained,
00:37:38they might keep the plants warm.
00:37:40At first, they only laughed at the little Berrykin.
00:37:43But then, they understood.
00:37:45It was their only hope.
00:37:48If the plants didn't make it, they'd have no food to eat,
00:37:51and no power to run the little city.
00:37:53So they worked together and took the glowing berries into the field.
00:37:58And it worked!
00:37:59The plants were saved.
00:38:01But only because every single person in Berry Bitty City
00:38:05brought a lantern to help warm the berry plants.
00:38:08The people of Berry Bitty City saw that they had to depend upon each other,
00:38:12the way they depend on the Glimmer Berries.
00:38:15And so we celebrate the Glimmer Berry gathering every winter.
00:38:19Every person in Berry Bitty City carves a frozen berry lantern.
00:38:24The whole town comes together and lights their lanterns in a circle.
00:38:28It is a promise everyone makes.
00:38:31That the community will come together and help each other
00:38:35in the hard winter days to come.
00:38:38Friends helping friends.
00:38:41And that is what the gathering is really all about.
00:38:45Oh. Oh, my.
00:38:48I've really been acting so very silly.
00:38:52Now, there's one more thing I want to show you.
00:38:55Do you see this? Here.
00:38:57There.
00:38:58Wait.
00:38:59That's...
00:39:00That's...
00:39:00That's my design.
00:39:03That's right.
00:39:04And I drew one just like it.
00:39:06Hey.
00:39:06Me too.
00:39:07So did I.
00:39:09We all did.
00:39:10I think you all saw it when I opened the box.
00:39:12But you didn't realize you'd seen it.
00:39:15That's how you came up with the same design.
00:39:18We all did.
00:39:21Oh.
00:39:22Then...
00:39:24Then...
00:39:24I accused you all of copying me when you didn't.
00:39:30Oh.
00:39:31I'm so sorry.
00:39:33I hope you can kinda...
00:39:35sorta...
00:39:36forgive me.
00:39:38Well, sure, Raspberry.
00:39:40If you can forgive me.
00:39:42And me.
00:39:43Me too.
00:39:44I think we all overreacted.
00:39:47Oh.
00:39:48Look, everybody.
00:39:50It's getting really frosty outside.
00:39:52I bet the berries are very frozen.
00:39:55And perfect for carving.
00:39:58You had better hurry if you're going to get the glimmer berries carved in time.
00:40:02Let's do it.
00:40:03Come on.
00:40:04Let's do it.
00:40:04Come on, everybody.
00:40:13How's this looking?
00:40:15Awesome.
00:40:16How about this one?
00:40:17Looking good, Orange.
00:40:18You missed a little spot there.
00:40:20Is everybody just about done?
00:40:22Yeah.
00:40:22Give me another second.
00:40:24Give me another second.
00:40:25I'll let him know it's time.
00:40:30Could you please tell the glow bugs were ready?
00:40:48When things aren't looking up
00:40:51And it seems you're out of luck
00:40:53Just think behind the clouds
00:40:56Could be a beautiful rainbow
00:40:58When it all just falls apart
00:41:01You overbaked your very top
00:41:04That's when you'll find a four-leaf clover
00:41:08Life is sweet
00:41:10Life is good
00:41:13Life is anything you want
00:41:17And you know that you should
00:41:19Just believe
00:41:21What I say
00:41:23Look around and you'll see
00:41:27It's a beautiful day
00:41:30It's good
00:41:31It's all good
00:41:34It's good
00:41:37It's all good
00:41:41I'm a tune
00:41:43Take a walk
00:41:44Whistle while you think
00:41:46Happy thoughts
00:41:47Don't let anybody
00:41:49Take away your sunshine
00:41:52Fly, fly, hide, and run around
00:41:55Turn a frown upside down
00:41:58Find your sparkle
00:41:59Shine your light
00:42:00Come on, sing it loud
00:42:02Life is sweet
00:42:04Life is good
00:42:06Life is good
00:42:07Life is good
00:42:08Life is anything you want
00:42:10And you know that you should
00:42:13Just believe
00:42:14Just believe
00:42:15What I say
00:42:17What I say
00:42:18What I say
00:42:18Look around and you'll see
00:42:21It's a beautiful day
00:42:23It's all good
00:42:42We're all good
00:42:43It's all good
00:42:46I don't see
00:42:49It's all good
00:42:50It's all good
00:42:52I don't know
00:42:52It's all good
00:42:53Of the world
00:42:55Itty!
00:43:05Careful, Pupcake. More apple cider, anyone?
00:43:08Ooh, yes, please, Strawberry. What's your secret? It's so good.
00:43:14Easy, Plum. You just warm up some apple cider with a little orange rind.
00:43:18Mmm, orange. My favorite.
00:43:22A tiny smidgen of lemon juice.
00:43:26Mmm, my favorite.
00:43:29A bit of cinnamon, and my secret ingredient.
00:43:33What's that? Warm wishes.
00:43:35I imagine my friends enjoying it, and somehow it just comes out better.
00:43:47Oh, maybe if we drink enough, it will really feel like winter.
00:43:52Well, it's certainly cold enough, but some snow would be nice.
00:43:58I want snow so badly, I sometimes think I can hear it coming.
00:44:08It's snowing!
00:44:10Yeah!
00:44:12That means snow-crunching foods and bundly warm jackets.
00:44:17Cozy fires.
00:44:19Strawberries, cranberry cookies.
00:44:21Mmm.
00:44:21Mmm.
00:44:22And best of all, the Glimmerberry Ball.
00:44:26I can't wait to start decorating for it.
00:44:29The food table will go here, and the streamers across there, and we'll put chairs along that wall.
00:44:44Plum, I'm starting to think we won't be able to hold the Glimmerberry Ball in the cafe this year.
00:44:49Why not?
00:44:50Hot cider coming right up.
00:44:52Excuse me, coming through.
00:44:53Because Berry Bitty City isn't so bitty anymore.
00:44:57That's right.
00:44:58The town has grown since last winter.
00:45:01There just won't be room.
00:45:02If not here, then where?
00:45:05I've got it.
00:45:06We'll split up and hunt for a bigger place.
00:45:08We'll all look hither and yon.
00:45:10Hither and yon?
00:45:12Here and there.
00:45:13Ah!
00:45:14Great!
00:45:14An adventure in the snow.
00:45:16Oh, good idea.
00:45:18Fun!
00:45:33So, did you find a place for the ball?
00:45:36No.
00:45:37Oh, me neither.
00:45:40Oh, well, I found a nice flat tree stump.
00:45:43There's lots of room, but no shelter from the cold.
00:45:47We might freeze, or catch colds, or even just shiver a lot.
00:45:52Well, we're definitely not giving up.
00:45:54After you get warm, we'll go looking again.
00:45:57I'll come with you.
00:46:00You guys!
00:46:01I found the perfect place!
00:46:03Come on!
00:46:05So, what do you think?
00:46:07It's perfect for the ball, right?
00:46:13Uh, I don't know, Plum.
00:46:16If someone fell off those branches, they'd hurt themselves.
00:46:19And where would we put the tables?
00:46:21No, no!
00:46:23Down here!
00:46:30Oh!
00:46:32Warm, spacious, and inviting!
00:46:34I call it perfect!
00:46:37Congratulations, Plum!
00:46:38Good for you!
00:46:39Good job!
00:46:41You did it!
00:46:41Yay for Plum!
00:46:43I knew you would!
00:46:44Plum!
00:46:45Since you did such a wonderful job of finding the perfect spot,
00:46:49would you mind being in charge of the party preparations?
00:46:51Oh, I'd love to!
00:46:53Okay, let's see.
00:46:55Uh, I'll bring the dishes, cups, napkins, and tablecloths.
00:46:59Uh, Strawberry, can you take care of the party snacks?
00:47:03Of course!
00:47:04Okay, now, Raspberry and Orange.
00:47:06Would you help decorate?
00:47:07Fine!
00:47:09Ooh!
00:47:10Yay!
00:47:11What do you think of crepe paper streamers draped tastefully across the ceiling?
00:47:15Draped crepe?
00:47:16You got it!
00:47:17Blueberry, Lemon, can you please round up as many glow bugs as you can to light the hall?
00:47:22Of course!
00:47:23We're on it!
00:47:26Raspberry and I will get started, too!
00:47:28And I definitely better get started if we want to put this all together in two days!
00:47:32Thank you, everybody!
00:47:36I'm gonna make this the best Glimmerberry Ball Berry Bitty City has ever had!
00:47:52Very nice, girls!
00:47:54It looks great!
00:47:55And the best part?
00:47:57We're a full day ahead of schedule!
00:47:59Ooh!
00:47:59Which means I have time tomorrow to sew up some fancy tablecloths!
00:48:04And I have time to pick up some great music!
00:48:07Ha ha ha!
00:48:10Ha ha!
00:48:10Woo!
00:48:11The fall is going to be so much fun!
00:48:14True.
00:48:15But there's still plenty of work to do tomorrow!
00:48:17Let's get some rest, and I'll see you here bright and early!
00:48:34What in the world happened?
00:48:36The snacks are all gone
00:48:37And the glow bugs flew away
00:48:40Oh, and our streamers and tablecloths are all torn up
00:48:44If this is a prank, it's not funny
00:48:47Who could have done such a thing?
00:48:49I don't know
00:48:50But this is really cozy
00:48:53I could take a nap in here
00:48:55This is no time for a nap
00:48:58We have to start over
00:49:00All that work we did
00:49:02It'll be okay, Plum
00:49:04We still have a whole day to put everything back in order
00:49:07Sure, and I'll go round up some more glow bugs
00:49:11What I want to know is who would do something so...
00:49:16So...
00:49:17Mean
00:49:17Well, nobody in Berry Bitty City
00:49:20Exactly
00:49:21So it must be an outsider
00:49:24And I'm gonna find out who
00:49:26And they will answer to the Rat of Plum
00:49:35Pop-cake?
00:49:36Oh, now you don't like cranberries
00:49:38Pop-cake?
00:49:40Oh, watch out!
00:49:42Oh, how can I make cranberry cookies with you in the way?
00:49:45I told you I have a bunch of baking to do
00:49:48Oh, come on, you silly puppy
00:49:50We'll have playtime another time
00:49:53Huh?
00:49:58Strawberry's Cafe
00:49:59Hoping you're having a very nice day
00:50:02Strawberry speaking
00:50:03Oh, hi, Plum
00:50:06What?
00:50:07Uh-huh
00:50:09You're all going to stay in the tree tonight?
00:50:11It's the only way to make sure nobody messes up the party stuff again
00:50:15It sounds like a fun sleepover
00:50:17Maybe I can join you later
00:50:18I just have to make one more batch of snacks
00:50:22Oh, hold on
00:50:24Pop-cake, go fetch
00:50:25Bring me that oven mitt, okay, boy?
00:50:29It's the cranberry cookies
00:50:31Blueberry's winter favorite
00:50:32Oh, it makes me so happy imagining how much she'll enjoy them
00:50:43Pop-cake!
00:50:44Pop-cake, no!
00:50:58Plum, looks like I'm not going to be able to join you after all
00:51:02Why?
00:51:04Let's just say it was something out of my control
00:51:08Good luck
00:51:08And have fun
00:51:10See you in the morning
00:51:13I...
00:51:14Goodness
00:51:15What's gotten into you, silly puppy?
00:51:19What?
00:51:26Oh
00:51:28You think the cranberry is your ball
00:51:31No wonder
00:51:32You thought I was going to cook your favorite ball
00:51:35Oh, I'm sorry I didn't understand
00:51:38Come on
00:51:39Let's look for your ball
00:51:51There you are
00:51:53Now maybe you'll let me finish my cranberry cookies
00:51:57Oh, and everything else
00:52:01Do you think we'll catch whoever it is?
00:52:03Oh, they'll be back all right
00:52:04And I'm ready for them
00:52:07Hooray!
00:52:08That's really bright, you know
00:52:10Oh, sorry
00:52:11I just want to be ready when the intruders show up
00:52:21Plum, they won't come in here if it's too bright
00:52:23Oh, right
00:52:26How much longer do you think we'll have to wait?
00:52:28This floor is really hard
00:52:31Yeah
00:52:32Not exactly a feather bed
00:52:34Hey, I know
00:52:36How about we bring that big pile of shredded grape paper back in here?
00:52:41Oh, it was a really cozy bed
00:52:43Good idea
00:52:46I don't know, girls
00:52:47We're trying to keep the place nice and neat
00:52:49Don't worry, Plum
00:52:51We'll just sweep it out again in the morning
00:52:59Oh, say
00:53:00This is cozy
00:53:04Really comfortable
00:53:05But we have to stay alert
00:53:08No problemo
00:53:09Fun
00:53:11We'll stay alert for you
00:53:13Honestly, Plum
00:53:14I don't think these troublemakers are coming back
00:53:19What was that?
00:53:20The wind?
00:53:21A falling acorn?
00:53:23A really big snowflake?
00:53:26Ready?
00:53:27One
00:53:28Two
00:53:29Three
00:53:32It's just a couple of cute chipmunks
00:53:35Cute on the outside
00:53:37But meddling on the inside
00:53:39I will not allow these intruders to ruin our ball
00:53:42Hey, get out of here
00:53:48That's right
00:53:49You better scram
00:53:50This is our place
00:53:51Yay
00:53:52We did it
00:53:55Now can we go home?
00:53:57Yes
00:53:58But first, a little precaution
00:54:05There
00:54:05That ought to keep those pranksters out
00:54:08Now we can trade that trash pile for some real bets
00:54:11Tomorrow is a big day
00:54:13The Glimmerberry Ball
00:54:20Oh, I'm so super excited to see everyone in their beautiful new ball gowns
00:54:25They are splendic-tacular
00:54:28And I've got all new steps planned out for the dance
00:54:32And let's hear it for the terrific food we're going to eat tonight
00:54:36Yay
00:54:40Thank you
00:54:41And let's hear it for Plum
00:54:43For organizing all the preparations
00:54:45Hooray
00:54:49Thanks
00:54:50I'm just happy that everyone in town will have a delightful Glimmerberry Ball tonight
00:54:54Yes
00:54:55The hall looks fabulous
00:54:57You've got to see it, Strawberry
00:54:59Oh, I can't wait
00:55:00I'll meet you down there when I'm done packing
00:55:02Okay, see you soon
00:55:07Oh, no
00:55:08Not again
00:55:18Somebody's been nibbling our snacks
00:55:20Somebody chased away our glow bugs
00:55:23And somebody's been sleeping in our streamers
00:55:26And they're still here
00:55:31So
00:55:32Trying to wreck our party, huh?
00:55:37Wake up
00:55:38Wake up, you meddling pranksters
00:55:40Get out of here
00:55:47Now
00:55:47We better clean this up
00:55:49Quick
00:55:50We're running out of time
00:55:52What's that?
00:55:53I don't know
00:55:54Sounds like it's coming our way
00:55:55Let's get out of here
00:55:57Come on
00:56:13They can't do this to us
00:56:15I have never been treated so
00:56:18So
00:56:19So
00:56:20Abominably
00:56:23Come on, girls
00:56:24It's time they were taught a lesson
00:56:26And the teacher is gonna be me
00:56:35Hey
00:56:39Come on
00:56:44Bye
00:56:45Bye
00:56:45Bye
00:56:53Goodbye
00:56:56Bye
00:56:58Bye
00:56:59Bye
00:57:08What's that?
00:57:25Wait. What's that noise?
00:57:37I feel like a blueberry snow cone.
00:57:41Okay. They asked for it.
00:57:56That'll teach him to mess with plum pudding.
00:58:08Let's see them try to get back into our Glimmerberry ballroom now.
00:58:27Not our ball gowns!
00:58:29You come down here this instant! Do you hear me?
00:58:33Huh?
00:58:35Who is it?
00:58:37It's Strawberry Pumpcake. What's going on in there?
00:58:44Great galloping gooseberries! What happened?
00:58:47Two naughty chipmunks have kept wrecking our decorations! And now they've stolen our ball gowns! Just to spite us!
00:58:55Chipmunks? Oh, that's very strange. They're usually timid little guys. There must be some reason they turned into troublemakers.
00:59:04Oh. They did this?
00:59:06Have you ever heard of anything so mean? Shredding or decorations?
00:59:10We found them sleeping in these scraps.
00:59:14They aren't the only ones. Raspberry kind of likes sleeping in them, too.
00:59:19Well, they are pretty cozy.
00:59:21Yes, they are.
00:59:22Oh, that's the answer.
00:59:25What's the answer, Strawberry?
00:59:27The chipmunks aren't the intruders. We are.
00:59:30Us?
00:59:31Uh-huh. They chose this place to have somewhere warm to sleep during the winter. And they probably found it
00:59:37before Plum did.
00:59:38But why do they have to take it out on our Glimmerberry ball?
00:59:42Hmm. Yesterday, I couldn't understand why Pupcake kept barking at me when I was making the cranberry relish. But when
00:59:50I finally stopped to see his point of view, I realized he thought a cranberry was his red ball. And
00:59:56he thought I wanted to play fetch.
00:59:59So?
01:00:02So? Look at this tree from the chipmunks' point of view. What looks like stealing food is actually their way
01:00:08of staying fed during their winter sleep.
01:00:10So what looks like a pile of scraps to us is really a bed to them?
01:00:15That's right, Raspberry.
01:00:16So, all this time, we've been kicking them out of their home?
01:00:22I'm afraid so, Plum.
01:00:24Now I feel terrible.
01:00:28Come on, girls. We better take all our stuff back home.
01:00:31But then, where will we hold our Glimmerberry ball?
01:00:35I think I may have an idea.
01:00:37What if we just ask them if we can stop doing that?
01:00:40I'm afraid we can stop doing that.
01:00:43Hey, little guys. Can we talk to you for a minute?
01:00:47That's it. We won't hurt you.
01:00:50I'm really sorry we tried to take over your winter home.
01:00:54We'd like to change our Glimmerberry ball into a hibernation ball.
01:00:58Would that be okay with you?
01:01:00Everyone will bring donations to our dance tonight.
01:01:03And you'll have plenty of food for the long winter.
01:01:13Where are they going now?
01:01:18Yay!
01:01:20Yeah!
01:01:22Yeah!
01:01:34Try your way to the top
01:01:36Once you start, never stop
01:01:38And if you fall, get up and go again
01:01:43When we do our best
01:01:44That's what counts, forget the rest
01:01:47We can all be champions here and now
01:01:53Time for you to show the world
01:01:57You can shine
01:01:59Never, ever, ever say never
01:02:03Don't give up on what you believe
01:02:06Oh, never, ever, ever say never
01:02:12Cause you gotta dare to dream
01:02:16I don't have to know it all to know
01:02:19That one thing is for sure
01:02:21Don't ever, ever, ever, ever give up on what you believe
01:02:40That was the best ball ever
01:02:42I can't remember a better one
01:02:44I think I enjoyed helping out the chipmunks a lot more than just throwing our usual glimmerberry ball
01:02:49Me too
01:02:50It made it much more special
01:02:52It's like strawberry secret cider ingredient
01:02:55Warm wishes?
01:02:57Yes
01:02:57The party was special because I kept imagining how much the chipmunks are gonna enjoy their nice home
01:03:03And all the snacks for their hibernation
01:03:06So do you think they enjoyed the party?
01:03:12I think that says it all
01:03:24Sweet dreams
01:03:25See you in the spring
01:03:46Instructions?
01:03:47You think it's good about toast?
01:03:48I think anybody whoave it that much?
01:03:50Another coolest thing is because if you loved watching what you think etcetera
01:03:53And it's like you're민 on a sorry
01:03:53Say goodbye
01:03:59If посordial
01:04:00You're gladbs that are going
01:04:08That Ireland
