00:45:52The temptation was too great.
00:45:54Now, back in Dublin, every sixth house was a gin house.
00:45:58With a sign in the window that said,
00:46:00Drunk for a penny.
00:46:02Dead drunk for tuppence.
00:46:05And clean straw for nothing.
00:46:08But it was a terrible time of crime and poverty.
00:46:16Now, inside Arthur Guinness was a devout Christian.
00:46:20Now, he was there under the presence of John Wesley.

00:46:25earn all you can.

00:46:32So, Arthur Guinness, he saw there was a need.

00:59:24that it nourished them for the entire 40 days of the fast. And this is our version. It's
00:59:33quite tasty. Lent is a funny thing. It's kind of like our own personal sacrifice to
00:59:46God. We give up something, and in return, we show respect to our Creator. I made a friend
00:59:53back in Ireland. Brewmaster was a little too close to his own work, if you know what you
00:59:58mean. As he gave up drinking his own brew for 40 days, he reversed it. And then he did another
