01:51It used to be you have a senior who's graduating, and you replace him with a kid coming out of

01:57But now, starting in 2018, a player can transfer out of your school at his own will, going through the
02:03transfer portal.
02:04The portal is where I can recruit experienced players from other college football programs.
02:10The guys who are not working out at Norfolk State end up entering the portal to try to find any
02:14other schools to play for.
02:16Some of these guys I wish I could retain, but some of these guys, I know they're going to leave.
02:20Players now can transfer from any institution as many times as they want.
02:26It's a game of musical chairs. You got to retain the right players and pinpoint the guys that you can
02:30do without.
02:31We have to make the right moves. It's a lot of variables.
