00:24Gold has climbed from $2,600 at the start of the year to $3,000.
00:38The thing right now is, you know, gold prices are so high, I'm pissed off that we're not in a
00:43position to take advantage of it.
00:45We're way too close to the end of the season.
00:47You know, we're going for $1,800 and it seems like a fantasy at the moment.
00:51Rick is in an all-too-familiar place.
00:55After months with no sluicing, he's burning through the little cash he has left.
01:00But now, with just four weeks to go, he's back on pay dirt and on the precipice of getting back
01:08on the gold.
01:09I'm nervous.
01:10We need to pay the bills and how little time we have left and I'm feeling it.
01:15I still think we can make it.
01:16You know, I know we can make it.
01:17We're just going to have to work harder than we ever have.
01:21Seven weeks ago, Rick gambled a million dollars to open up the massive Valhalla cut.
01:27We're not just risking our gold bonuses or your gold, but it could be the end of the company as
01:31well.
01:33After removing 150 feet of overburden, Rick hit a dead end.
01:40And it was just still pure clay.
01:42What do you mean?
01:42No pay.
01:44And other miners are smelling blood in the water.
01:48Put a prize on the table.
01:51Sell the place.
01:52I'll buy it from you.
01:59The vultures are circling, but not willing to give up yet.
02:04We are about to run some good ground out of Vegas Valley.
02:06I mean, we had huge numbers out of that last year, so, you know, we're still in it.
02:12Last week, Rick pivoted back to his old Vegas Valley cut.
02:17The 200-foot-deep pit is the richest ground Rick's ever mined.
02:22It saved his season before, and Rick believes it could deliver 350 ounces a week.
02:29You know, the boys are going to fire the wash plants today.
02:32That's going to be great to actually see a bunch of yardage getting through here
02:35and actually seeing some gold.
02:38At the bottom of the cut, operator Bailey Carton loads the gold-rich pay dirt into rock trucks
02:45to haul to the stockpile next to wash plant Monster Red.
02:50Hopefully, the rest of the pay in the Vegas Valley is going to really help us out a lot.
02:57It is exciting.
02:59We have a pretty decent stockpile.
03:01I think it's balls to the wall, full capacity.
03:05I can't wait to get Monster Red up and running so we can get some pay washed through the plant
03:10and get some gold.
03:13We ain't getting no gold bonus if we ain't washing any dirt.
03:33Oh, yeah.
03:34That'll get us started.
03:38It's a pretty good-sized pile.
03:39It's not bad.
03:41Well, it's been a long time coming.
03:42We haven't pulled any gold in a while.
03:44No, I forgot what this plant does.
03:47I know you guys are chomping at the bit to get this thing running.
03:50Should we get some gold today?
03:51Yeah.
03:51All right.
03:55It's been almost two months here since we've gotten any gold,
03:57seen this plant running any of that s***.
03:58So, yeah, it's about time.
04:01We need it.
04:02All the gold we found this spring is just about s***ing well.
04:05It is gone.
04:05So, it's like we're starting over from scratch.
04:11Get your bucket ready?
04:13Yep.
04:13Yeah!
04:14We fired it up.
04:16Let's see how she's doing.
04:26I mean, it feels great.
04:28Finally, uh, start running the plant here.
04:31So, it's the first, uh, first bucket going in.
04:49It's been how many months since we've seen this thing run?
04:51So, it's kind of like relearning it again.
04:54Good to see.
04:55We need to, if we're going to come remotely, close to 1,800 ounces.
04:58But, uh, as of right now, this is cause to celebrate.
05:05Looks good to me.
05:06I'm happy.
05:07The big thing is we're getting gold right now.
05:09F*** down.
05:09F*** down.
05:10F***.
05:10F*** right.
05:17Lots running, boys.
05:18We're on the gold.
05:23That's going to be great.
05:24Actually seeing some gold, you know, hopefully start, uh, adding those numbers up.
05:29That'll be awesome.
05:30of seeing gold prices so high.
05:35Finally, we're gonna get some gold.
05:38It's frickin' awesome.
05:46We need the gold, money's gone out the door
05:48and not a whole lot's come in.
05:50We definitely needed it and for my stress,
05:53I needed it, so it feels good.
05:54I know the guys are happy, it's been stressing them out too
05:57and so today's a good day.
06:08We need the gold.
06:17With gold prices where they're at,
06:19it's hit a whole bunch of record highs
06:21and who knows how long these prices will last.
06:24We're just shy of 10,000 ounces.
06:27It's just like a hell of a year to be minin' gold.
06:3231-year-old Parker Schnabel is hell-bent
06:35on a record-breaking season.
06:38His well-oiled operation has already pulled in
06:41over $30 million worth of gold.
06:44and now, he's within striking distance
06:48of his 10,000-ounce gold.
06:52We've got a lot of ground to get through still
06:54and the name of the game is just keeping
06:57these wash plants running.
06:58We have four plants and it's just
07:01sluice, sluice, sluice.
07:08All right, have you seen the price of gold?
07:11Yeah, it's pretty crazy, eh?
07:13Do you think it's gonna stay on that trend?
07:15No, what goes up must come down.
07:17Yeah, definitely, man.
07:18Like, I know you've had an insane season
07:20and you've done an amazing job,
07:23but I don't need you to worry about much else
07:25other than just trying to keep those plants running.
07:27Okay.
07:27Thanks, Tyson.
07:29See ya.
07:33This season, Parker's tasked Foreman Tyson Lee
07:38with overseeing three wash plants.
07:41The Golden Goose and Big Red in the Golden Mile
07:45and Wash Plant Bob in the Bridge Cut.
07:48It's that time of year when people are getting tired,
07:52equipment's getting tired,
07:53and we just have to get through this final push.
07:59We need to try and fight this out,
08:02get these cuts mined out.
08:03We still have a lot of sluicing to do this year,
08:06and it looks like our days might already be numbered.
08:16I already love that sand.
08:21Bob's mad.
08:30Tyson, got a copy, Tyson?
08:33Yeah, go ahead.
08:34We've got a major issue with Bob's shaker deck here.
08:37Wondering if you'd be able to stop by.
08:38That does not sound good.
08:41I'm on my way.
08:44This is the last thing we need.
08:49Oh, .
08:51That's actually pretty serious.
08:54Mechanics Alec Kelly and Liam Pucola
08:56have found massive structural cracks
08:59in Wash Plant Bob's screen deck.
09:03We have to come up with a long-term solution here.
09:05We can't keep doing this.
09:07It's going to turn into a nightmare pretty quickly.
09:10Alec and Liam have already patched up the cracks,
09:14but their welds keep failing.
09:21Well, what did you guys find?
09:23It doesn't sound good.
09:24We got some pretty bad cracks in Bob's lower deck there.
09:30Not just bad.
09:31He's in cancer.
09:33Doesn't matter who's welding them up.
09:35It's blowing right past our supports.
09:37Yeah, today we got four cracks in there,
09:39so it's just like, oh, man, like, when is this going to stop?
09:41Or will it stop?
09:44Well, apparently it's not going to,
09:46so we've got to find another option.
09:47I'm going to have to talk to Parker.
09:54We need Bob up and running for the rest of the season.
09:57Right now, we're down to Wash Plant.
10:07What up?
10:08Bob's shaker deck, it's .
10:11There's nothing we can do about it
10:13with on a new screen deck here,
10:14so we're going to have to find one, get one coming.
10:18Since Bob is screwed, let's take Bob out
10:20and bring Sluisfer in.
10:23I want Bob back in that pit, though,
10:25at the end of the week.
10:27I don't want to do this season with Sluisfer.
10:29Had a lot of problems with that wash plant in the cold.
10:32We can get more yardage out of Bob.
10:36Okay, let's go tear Sluisfer apart.
10:38All right.
10:40Parker wants Sluisfer moved to the bridge cut to take over for Bob,
10:44but, you know, at this time of year, it's a dangerous game moving plants
10:48because you never know when things are going to start freezing up.
10:50But what the boss wants, the boss gets.
10:55Tyson needs to play musical wash plants.
10:59First, he must move spare wash plant Sluisfer from the lay-down yard,
11:04a mile upstream to the bridge cut to take over from Bob.
11:09He'll then drag Bob back to the lay-down yard
11:13to have its shaker deck replaced.
11:16Once fixed, Tyson must haul Bob back to the bridge cut,
11:20swap out Sluisfer,
11:22then haul it all the way back to the lay-down yard.
11:27All told, four wash plant moves in just one week.
11:34Yeah, swapping Sluisfer with Bob will make up at least three days
11:38of Sluisfer time,
11:40and that's a lot of money in the pocket for us.
11:42We don't want to leave that on the ground.
11:45We want it in the bank account.
11:48Holy , it's a million degrees in this .
11:52Who the left the heat on?
11:58Fork wash plant moves this week.
12:00In theory, it should work,
12:02but we've never done this sort of thing before.
12:05We really don't want Sluisfer sliding off
12:07and getting damaged,
12:09so we're just going to take her slow and steady.
12:11We'll get her down there.
12:12We'll get her in place.
12:14Hopefully, before we lose too much downtime.
12:26Oh, come on!
12:35Sluisfer, welcome to the bridge cut.
12:37So now we've got to go put Sluisfer together now that it's here
12:40in the bridge cut, so we're halfway there.
12:52You know, the leaves are changing color,
12:54and we're just really under the gun to get this wash plant set up here.
13:02It's tricky.
13:04Tyson's the best, so he's done this a million times.
13:09Looking good, Tyson, looking good.
13:12We're going to get this conveyor mounted onto Sluisfer.
13:15Okay, keep walking forward, Tyson.
13:19Yeah, good there.
13:22We just got the conveyor on,
13:24and now we're trying to hang one sluice run.
13:26Down just a little bit, Tyson.
13:29Whoa!
13:30Awesome.
13:32Nice work, guys.
13:33Record timing.
13:34Yeah.
13:35The first to forked wash plant move.
13:38Sweet.
13:39Sluisfer's ready to rock here.
13:42Well, here we go.
13:43Let's fire Sluisfer up here,
13:45and hopefully Bob will be back in place before we know it.
13:57With Sluisfer washing paid, Tyson can turn his attention
14:02to getting wash plant Bob repaired.
14:06Bob's really hurting right now.
14:08Now we're getting ready to haul it to the plant yard.
14:13That looks good right there.
14:21Off to her maiden voyage.
14:23She needs some work.
14:41You know, Parker wants us to get as much gold out of the ground as possible,
14:45but Bob's cracking out.
14:47We're constantly just wanting to keep sluicing and wanting to keep washing rocks.
14:51At Dominion Creek,
14:53Foreman Tyson Lee is in a race to get wash plant Bob's screen deck replaced by the end of the
15:00week.
15:01I just got off the phone and got a screen deck that sounds like it's going to work for Bob.
15:07The only thing is, it's in Vancouver Island, and we've got to get it up here to Dawson City.
15:12To get Bob back sluicing, Tyson must transport a brand new shaker deck over 1,800 miles north to Dominion.
15:24So, you know, normally when I'm in these kind of trying times of a lot of work to do,
15:30and not enough people to do them, and I would call Tupper, and he's kind of been a secret weapon
15:36of mine for the past couple of years now.
15:40Where I always, you know, looked up to him as a bit of an idol of mine.
15:46And he's been suffering.
15:52He's been diagnosed with leukemia.
16:04And he's trying to battle it out.
16:07He's gone through countless rounds of chemo, really been taking a toll on him.
16:16Hollage Company owner Mike Tupper has been Tyson's mentor since he was 13 years old.
16:23Tyson had a dream of going gold mining, and here he is, and now I guess he's the boss,
16:28and I'm his little kid.
16:31Over the years, Tyson's friend has been his go-to guy for hauling large equipment.
16:38Tyson called me and basically said, get up here, we're moving big red,
16:42and we're in a panic, and we're short guys, so here I am.
16:45Thanks for your help, Jeff. Couldn't have done it without you.
16:50Normally, we talk on the phone pretty much every night,
16:53and just went through a period there of not really hearing from him at all.
17:13How are you doing, Tup?
17:16Yeah, doing good. Doctors are super happy, so building strength and just trying to get back to the normal.
17:23You look good.
17:25Yeah, I've been through the ringer. It's not easy, but fight, stay positive,
17:30and get through this and get back at it.
17:32Yeah, well, everyone misses you up here, that's for sure.
17:36I think about it every day, and I think about all you guys, so.
17:40This week would have been a hell of a lot easier with you here, that's for sure.
17:43It's been wild.
17:46Yeah, I miss it. Believe me, how are you doing?
17:51So, I kind of need to ask a favor from you.
17:54Basically, Bob's screen deck is cracking out of it.
17:57I got a screen deck for us that will work, but it's in Vancouver Island, and we need it here.
18:05That's okay. I can send a little bit over to grab it.
18:08That would be great. The sooner we have it, the better.
18:12Okay. If I know you're getting tired, and Parker's got you doing lots, and you know what?
18:19Well, just stick with it, and do what you do, and care, man.
18:25Well, just heal up, and if anyone's got it, it's you. Love you, man.
18:28Okay. Love you, Tice.
18:30See you top.
18:32Bye.
18:54Time to go see Kevin.
18:55Hope he's not in the middle of something, because I got to deliver some bad news.
19:01This venture means a lot to both of us. Like, for all the frustrations,
19:06finally being able to do it himself, and finally being able to tell Tony how he succeeded,
19:13is probably what Kevin would love to do.
19:23Hey, Kev.
19:24Yep.
19:25Can I have a word with you for a sec?
19:27Yeah, sure.
19:33So, did a little bit of accounting in books.
19:37Mm-hmm.
19:37We're pretty far away from our 2,000-ounce goal.
19:40Things are getting pretty bad.
19:42Oh, .
19:44Should we ask Tony for help?
19:47I... I don't think so.
19:49No, I'd rather just do it on our own.
19:52Mm-hmm.
19:53I mean, especially considering I'm not very good at asking for help.
19:56No, you're usually quite stubborn.
19:59Kind of like your father.
20:01The ground is just not panning up.
20:03If we got to cut any expenses we can, we'll just have to work our asses off.
20:08Yeah.
20:10All right.
20:12Tony Beat's eldest son, Kevin, is on the ropes.
20:18With less than a month to go in his second season as Mind Boss, he's still over 1,000
20:24ounces short of his goal and running out of cash fast.
20:29This year is in serious jeopardy.
20:31It's not showing up in the ground, which is .
20:38I've been working for Tony for over 25 years.
20:41The easy answer, going to Tony for help.
20:44I don't think we're going to do it.
20:47I spoke a lot of big , so I better walk the walk that I'm trying to talk.
20:52All we can do.
20:57Kevin has spent 10 weeks mining the seven-acre sphinx cut, but so far it's not delivered the
21:05gold he needs.
21:06The 2,000 ounce gold does seem a little far off, but we'll see.
21:10Hopefully, all the work we're going to put in pays off.
21:16Naturally, Kevin doesn't want to leave any gold in the ground with the price that gold is at the
21:22moment. So, yeah, we're all working our butts off to get it all through the plan.
21:30It's rather important that we get this stripping, that ground strip, keep the payroll.
21:35That's the only way to make that 2,000-ounce gold.
21:39It's straightforward. We've got to get through, keep it prepared.
21:43But Kevin definitely needs somebody that's diversified to be able to give them a half.
21:49To help keep the plant running 24-7 and increase gold production, Kevin's called in a trusted veteran.
21:58The birds are tweeting, the sun's out. I've had my breakfast. Happy as a pig of .
22:10Gary Masters worked with Kevin last season and has 15 years experience running a loader.
22:17I'm back in the loader seat again. A message off of Kevin asking me to return for the final push.
22:27So I got back to camp, got back in the loader, and now we're going to do that last push
22:33to the end of the season.
22:35Recently got married. Shall we say cut the honeymoon a bit short.
22:41Which I don't mind. The new wife wasn't overly impressed, but...
22:49The buggers here are like a little family, so hopefully we will meet our target and see the season out.
22:57We're just battling on at the moment. Happy days. Plants running again.
23:03Oh, we've got damage. Ooh, me. That wasn't a good one.
23:14Call for Kevin. Call for Kevin.
23:16Go for Kevin.
23:17You know, the bar that goes from one side to the other, that is self-destructive.
23:28I'll be right there. Things keep breaking on us. We really can't afford any downtown.
23:45Oh, we've got damage. Ooh. We're going to turn her off. Shut her down.
23:54Kevin's only moneymaker is shut down with broken grizzly bars.
24:07It's, uh, the bar that runs this end straight through. It's broken to f***ing bent.
24:17It's bent like a frigging banana. I'm going to have to have a look at that.
24:21There's not one thing, it's another. It's f***ing atrocious.
24:25Yeah. So, start of the plan, we're going to hook up our giant, come along here to the cross beam,
24:33the piece of, uh, half-inch steel. Try and pull it straighter. At least get that end back through the
24:39hole.
24:40And then see if we can straighten it out. Probably weld the support bracket to hold it in f***ing place.
24:45Probably heat it to make it live in its new home.
24:48The hopper feeder's grizzly bars stop big rocks from traveling through and damaging Kevin's wash plan.
24:57Two cross beams that run through the center of the grizzlies are damaged due to large rocks smashing against them.
25:05To fix them, Kevin must heat the steel bars and use a winch to bend the beams back into position.
25:13Once in place, he will weld a support bracket at each end to secure them.
25:22It's not going to be a, be a ten minute job. Being polite, oh gosh.
25:31In real terms, f***ing.
25:35Let's see. That should relieve a lot of tension if we can get it nice and red hot.
25:47I'm going to try giving it a crank.
25:50Yeah, she's moving.
25:55There she goes again. There we go.
26:01This is back in the right place. I'm going to weld either end of it.
26:05Before we take this off, to help hold it in f***ing spot.
26:14Okay. That's looking well, Gary.
26:18Brilliant.
26:19Hopefully now we can get to the end of the season without any more f***ing work.
26:24Shut down.
26:25For six hours, it's cost Kevin over $15,000 in lost gold production.
26:32Screen deck on.
26:44I'm very confident about the fix.
26:48All right. Nice, good sized bucket.
26:53Beat up the rocks in there too. That's good.
26:56Good test for the welds. Looks good, Gary. It's looking good.
27:02Nice and smooth.
27:04Plant is running. We are finding gold.
27:09Hopefully now we can break it to the end of the season without any more quirk.
27:13Fingers crossed.
27:41For what we've had to deal with, I think things are...
27:43are looking actually positive right now.
27:45We're going to fight to get as much gold as we can get.
27:47Is there going to be enough here to be able to hit our goal, hit 1800 ounces? I don't know.
27:52Obviously, we got a long ways to go, but we know that we're on the goal.
27:56After a two-month gold drought, Rick and his skeleton crew are finally back,
28:02running Vegas Valley Pay, chasing a 350-ounce week.
28:08Everything seems to be going really well. It's a pretty steady pace.
28:12We're pushing to pull quite a bit of gold out in the last four weeks here.
28:20Plant's running exactly how we want it to run.
28:23Right now we're right on cue to be where we need.
28:26Keep the gold coming out. Go home with some money.
28:30While Kyle feeds Munster red and mechanic Ryan clears its tailings,
28:36rock truck drivers Chris and Kai hold pay dirt to the stockpile.
28:401800 ounces sounds like a lot, but you know, we got a good crew,
28:44so I'm excited for keep money coming in and, you know,
28:47obviously go home with a good gold bonus with the way gold prices are today.
28:59Oh, you got to be kidding me.
29:17Yep.
29:20Ryan, you got a copy?
29:22Yeah, I'll go there.
29:24My tire went flat.
29:26We got to get a new tire.
29:28It's just what we need.
29:32A rock truck down, Kai jumps into Rick's only spare working truck.
29:40We're not having the greatest luck towards the end of the season here.
30:03Hey, Chris, you got a copy?
30:06Yeah, go ahead.
30:08Yeah, buddy, uh, your truck's making some noises in your driveline area.
30:12Yeah, it doesn't sound really good.
30:16Ryan's not going to be happy.
30:20Take a look at it real quick.
30:24Hey, Kyle, you got a copy?
30:26Yeah, go ahead.
30:27Hey, shut the plant down, dude.
30:29We've already got two trucks down.
30:31All right.
30:31I'll shut her down.
30:38We got two trucks down with hardly any gold right now.
30:43Unfortunately, I shut the plant down and go get this fixed.
31:00This radio call from Chris saying his rear of the truck's making a clonking noise on it right now.
31:07We got another truck down with a tire.
31:08After just two days running, Monster Red is once again at a standstill,
31:15while Rick's sluicing crew fixed two broken rock trucks.
31:31This drive line, it's taking a couple pretty good shots.
31:34This drive line's up.
31:36Just taking a toll.
31:37This is the Ness crew's third broken drive shaft of the season.
31:42You know, we got a spare drive line.
31:44Right now, this is the last functioning wound we got.
31:47Kyle's giving me a hand.
31:49He's kind of taking on the rock truck tire that we've got damaged.
31:53This is our last spare tire.
31:55So we're just trying to tackle two things at once here.
31:58We're not running a wash plant, so that means no gold coming in.
32:02Trying to get this done as quick as possible.
32:05Okay, rotate.
32:07All right, there's that.
32:09Just a slip yoke.
32:11Okay.
32:12See you later.
32:13All good?
32:14Yep.
32:15Excellent.
32:16All right.
32:21So now we're back in the two-truck game.
32:25We've got Chris fixed up.
32:27Now we need to get this one done, because it's bound to happen again
32:29that we lose another one.
32:31Yeah, bring her down a little.
32:36Now we got this tire on here, and we'll put some air in it.
32:39Me and Ryan can get our ass back to that wash plant and keep running pay.
32:45We really got to tighten up and be careful the rest of the season.
32:48Otherwise, our chance at 1,800 isn't going to happen.
32:51Unfortunately, there's two hours of bull that we didn't need to do right there.
32:54Downtime's crucial.
32:55Every minute adds up out here, and especially when you got winter around the corner.
33:01Fire it back up.
33:02Fire her up.
33:02I'll jump in that loader.
33:13Monster Red may be back in the game, but the crew needs a record-breaking gold haul
33:19to claw back lost time.
33:23It's just a lot right now, man.
33:24Everybody's tired, so is the equipment.
33:29But the good thing is, we're back up and running.
33:31You know, Bailey's got his trucks back.
33:33You got the plant fired up, and we're solutioning it.
33:50The screen deck and Bob keeps cracking apart.
33:53We keep fixing it.
33:55It's a major job to fix them, which we don't have time for.
33:58At Dominion's lay-down yard, wash plant Bob is shut down, awaiting a new screen deck.
34:05With how high the gold price is, we can't afford that much downtime.
34:09So I've asked the guys to bring Sluisfer in.
34:11We could keep Sluisfer in the whole time, but Bob runs a little more yardage, which helps.
34:15But more importantly than that, Sluisfer does really poorly in the cold.
34:19When Bob's fixed, we will put it back in, I think.
34:22I think we have to, because we have a lot of pay to sluice, and it's getting cold.
34:33You know, it's getting near the end of the season, and this is when crunch time happens.
34:38The pressure's on now, and it'll be on until we're done.
34:41At Parker's wash plant yard, with Tyson's friend Tupper's help,
34:46mechanic Bill Horton has a special delivery.
34:49Can I interest anybody in a screen deck?
34:52That was perfect timing.
34:54I think Tupper, he was able to help us out, get the screen deck up here.
34:57That looks awesome.
35:00To swap the new screen deck into Bob, the crew must first disassemble the plant's hopper.
35:08Next, they will remove the cracked seven-ton shaker deck.
35:13Then crane the new shaker deck back onto its springs, followed by the hopper feeder and spray bars.
35:24So we'll get the crane set up here, and pick this hopper off first.
35:31We've never done a screen deck here on site, but we're also doing triple the ground we used to do,
35:37and the sluicing hours are crazy, so it's bound to happen.
35:46Peace number two, coming off.
35:49That's awesome.
35:51And then it's screen deck time.
35:56And we got to come this way some, because we got some bolts coming through here that are going to
36:00hook.
36:03Okay, you'll clear here now.
36:13It's all right.
36:14Oh, second.
36:20Just a spring.
36:22Okay, now you're clear.
36:25Yeah, I'm going this side.
36:29Everything's looking good.
36:30If we can get it setting on the ground here, then we'll be good.
36:34Great job.
36:39This is the big moment here.
36:40We're going to lift the new screen deck into place.
36:43Hopefully this all goes as smooth as it came apart.
36:46Hopefully we get this screen deck setting on here on top of these springs without hurting anything.
36:51You know, if we smash the pulley off the end or bend the shaft, we're pretty much .
36:55So it's only $100,000.
36:57I'm sure we can just pick up another one tomorrow at the corner store.
36:59Ready?
37:00Yeah.
37:10Try to steady it, okay?
37:13I just want to bump the springs and get them in the pillar.
37:18Is that all for this idea?
37:20Yeah, they're all in.
37:25Brand new screen decks in place.
37:34About time we get her out to the field and put her to the test.
37:43The way the gold's been coming in, we really need four wash plants to help us pull off 10,000
37:48ounces this year.
37:51You know, right now we're pulling into the bridge cut.
38:02We're going to shut Sleucifer down, get the wash plants traded on, get bald fired up in no time.
38:17Sleucifer moved out.
38:18Looking good, Tyson, looking good.
38:21It's time to swap in Bob.
38:26Here it comes, here it comes.
38:28I think that's a beautiful spot.
38:31Swing towards the wash plant slowly.
38:37Okay, good bear.
38:39Looking good, Tyson.
38:42So right now we're getting ready to fire up here.
38:45Here we go.
38:52After four wash plant moves in one week.
38:57First scoop of paint going into Bob's new shaker deck.
39:04Bob is back sluicing, ready to help chase down Parker's 10,000-ounce gold.
39:12And hopefully, it's the last of the downtime here in the bridge cut.
39:34Hey, Kev.
39:35Hey, Faith.
39:36How she goes?
39:37Good.
39:39A little something something?
39:40A little something something?
39:41Kevin and Faith are over a thousand ounces short of their two thousand
39:46ounce gold. So we had a bit of a rough week with the grizzly bar issue. Yeah.
39:53But it's nice to have Gary running the equipment like a nice cool head
39:59keeping an eye to. Should we weigh it up find out? Sure. Kevin has two weeks of
40:05gold to weigh up. So far his Sphinx cut has been averaging just 75 ounces per
40:12week. 25, 30, 35, 45, 55. To get back on track he needs it to deliver 250 ounces.
40:24170, 180, 190, 200, 220, 221.87. Worth $798,000. The ground is picking up a
40:41little bit thankfully. Yeah. Kevin's gold haul pushes his season total to 1,215 ounces.
40:52I mean it's a good thing the gold price is this high. Yeah. Gold prices are so high
40:56that like you just want to catch every single flake. Yeah.
41:01Huh. That wasn't too bad. The ground is picking up. Goes to show though, hiring good people like
41:08Gary pays off. So have to take the knocks and keep on going.
41:21Hello. Hey Junior. How's it going, Pop? How you doing? How you doing, bud?
41:24Last week, Parker's crew delivered over 600 ounces. Now, despite having to play musical
41:33wash plants, he's hoping for more. Hey Duma. Hey T. How are you? Good. Busy. Like everybody, huh?
41:41It was very busy. Well, it started with Bob's new shaker deck showed up. Trade Bob for Slucifer.
41:47Because you just moved four wash plants. Musical wash plants. Oh, it was like, it's good we have the spare
41:52wash plant. It's nice getting that new screen cage in Bob though. Yeah. That should really make a
41:57difference. It really gave it a facelift. Like it looked like a brand new wash plant. They called
42:01Tupper. His company went to the island and hauled it for us and yeah, it all worked out well.
42:06How's he doing? Good. Yeah. On the mend? On the mend. Yeah.
42:10More and more energy every day. I miss that guy. I'm glad that worked out. It was his way of
42:15being
42:16up here, I guess, this year. Hopefully, it paid off though. All the musical wash plants.
42:22Just far enough away from the end of the season that you don't want the downtime.
42:28Are we doing five cleanups? Doing five, yeah.
42:32Well, how do we do this week, Duma? You want to take a look? Yeah.
42:37Bob. Broken Bob. Here we go. See what the new screen deck got us.
42:42Bob ran for just 37 hours in the bridge cut.
42:4820, 30,
42:5235.6. That's it?
42:55But Bob's fixed and running and it'll be alright.
42:58This is part two of your musical wash plants. This is Lucifer?
43:02Is this what all the blood, sweat, and tears got us? Yeah.
43:05Five, 15.
43:07Swapping in for Bob,
43:09Lucifer ran for 35 hours.
43:13That's it, man.
43:15That's it?
43:1632.55.
43:19Gold's worth a lot, isn't it?
43:21No, I mean,
43:22it's a hundred grand we wouldn't have had.
43:26This is big red.
43:27This is what happens when the plant stays in the same spot.
43:30Here we go.
43:32We've got 20,
43:3340,
43:3480.
43:35Last week,
43:36big red in the golden mile
43:38pulled in over 133 ounces.
43:42143.15.
43:45That ground's been consistent.
43:48It's your baby,
43:50Gigi.
43:51Here you go.
43:51Okay, here we go, Parker.
43:53You ready?
43:54Yeah.
43:5720,
43:5960,
44:0090.
44:01Also sluicing the golden mile,
44:03new wash plant,
44:05Golden Goose,
44:06which last week
44:07brought in 177 ounces.
44:10170,
44:13187.05.
44:15Nice.
44:16Yeah.
44:17I'm glad that plant's doing well.
44:20Parker's Dominion operation
44:21has delivered
44:23398 ounces.
44:26You want to see how Roxanne did, Mitch?
44:28Yeah, buddy.
44:29Here we go.
44:30All right.
44:3215,
44:3335,
44:3570.
44:37Kennan Stewart's pit two
44:39has averaged nearly 140 ounces per week.
44:44150.2.
44:47Yeah.
44:48This week,
44:51548.55.
44:53Parker's five plant blitz
44:56has scored nearly $2 million this week.
45:00What's cool is our season total
45:02is 8,942.2.
45:06Nice.
45:08Let's get to that 10,000.
45:09All right, gentlemen.
45:10Thanks, guys.
45:12Thanks, buddy.
45:14Keep them going.
45:15Thanks for making this work.
45:17And, like,
45:17the thing with Bob and Sousifer,
45:19I'm sorry that happened.
45:20If I'd have known it was for 60 ounces,
45:22I wouldn't have done it.
45:24At today's prices,
45:25it was worth it.
45:26Thanks.
45:27Thanks.
45:39Look at this guy.
45:40Is he going on a hot date tonight or what?
45:42Shut your mouth.
45:45I can put on a clean shirt every now and then.
45:48After eight weeks without sluicing
45:50and over a million dollars in the hole,
45:53Rick finally has gold to weigh.
45:56Right now, it's good to see that gold.
45:58I mean, that's just the right step
46:00in the right direction.
46:01Yep.
46:02I forgot what gold looked like.
46:04Right now, yeah,
46:05like 350 ounces a week
46:06is what we need right now
46:07to hit our goal.
46:09I know it's that we had to ban Valhalla,
46:11but had to do what we had to do, I guess.
46:13And at least there was pay left over
46:15from last year.
46:16Yeah, Vegas Valley,
46:17we know that's good pay.
46:19This is the second time
46:20we're gambling on Vegas Valley.
46:21Yeah.
46:22We'd gamble on it last year, too.
46:24I don't think you have a choice.
46:24No, we don't.
46:29I mean, it always comes down
46:30to the end of the season for us,
46:31but this one, I think,
46:31is going to be rough.
46:33Let's see if we can put a dent in it anyways.
46:36By the way,
46:38that first 100 ounces was in there,
46:40and this is whatever we've got
46:42to go on top of that.
46:43All right.
46:47Whoa, 10, 20, 30.
46:50It's going.
46:52Where we had 95, 97, 98, 100, 105.4.
47:00That's good, man.
47:01Plus 100, so that's 205.4.
47:03205.4.
47:04Yeah.
47:06Worth just over $730,000.
47:10It ain't $350,000, but we'll take it.
47:13That's a lot of money, man.
47:14It's hard to be upset at that.
47:17643.84 ounces.
47:19It was a lot, but
47:21we're running out of time.
47:23I know we can do this,
47:24and I appreciate you guys
47:25sticking it out, man.
47:26I really do.
47:27Without you guys,
47:27this doesn't happen.
47:28Yep.
47:28So...
47:29Thanks, guys.
47:29Dinner!
47:30Woo!
47:34Yeah, it's good to see
47:36that amount of gold.
47:38205.4 ounces is amazing
47:39after having nothing.
47:41Guys really pull it together.
47:43Unfortunate things,
47:43we've still got a long ways to go.
47:46Well, you know,
47:47hard to be sad about
47:47205 ounces of gold these days,
47:49but, you know,
47:49it's not quite the number we need,
47:51but I know now
47:52we're on the right path,
47:53and we just got to
47:53work for it.
