00:00Um, I mean, Ellis, we have to.
00:04What a night.
00:06What a night.
00:07Want a confession?
00:08Uh, sure.
00:10I am not the least bit bothered by our conversations and predictions yesterday.
00:17I mean, people still respond when, like, I was sort of like, how could you not play
00:23Lucanen?
00:23Oh, don't you feel stupid?
00:25No.
00:26No, why?
00:28Because neither you nor I have any idea what's going to happen in these games.
00:32Do not think for a second that I think that.
00:35I just would have played Lucanen because I want to win and he's my number one.
00:39But, you know, how much time do we spend yesterday trying to fend off subconsciously
00:43these people who just, like, think you're, you just think you know everything.
00:47How much time do we spend on, but we don't know?
00:49Right.
00:50I mean, practically half the show.
00:52Which was, you know, I guess pointless because the people are still going to tell you
00:55that they think you know.
00:57Yeah, whatever.
00:57Conviction.
00:58Yeah.
00:59So, Ellis, I mean, 37 saves.
01:02The confession is, I bet Columbus in the second intermission.
01:06They were dominating.
01:08Of course you did.
01:08And they were plus 240.
01:10Yeah.
01:11One nothing down.
01:12They were killing us.
01:13It was hard to turn down.
01:14Ends up, five zip.
01:17I don't know about killing us.
01:18I never felt like they were getting killed.
01:20Well, shot attempts were ridiculously one-sided.
01:22Yeah, that's right.
01:22The second intermission, it was pretty lopsided.
01:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:28Yeah, I mean, and, you know, Colton Chaos, there was that sequence where, I'm not, were
01:37these separate sequences?
01:38There was one, I think it was all in the second period, because it was left to right, Columbus
01:42attacking, you know, down that end.
01:45And for those of you watching on the Twitch and YouTube, I'm gesturing to my right, just
01:49so you know, that means that way, on TV.
01:54And he, there was, like, a play coming in from the right point, and it looked like he
02:00caught the, like, the heel of his skate or something in the ice and just fell over.
02:05And then, maybe on that same sequence, he lost his stick a couple times, there's, the
02:11helmet was off, and he had to grab his helmet, and then, like, they were coming in, and the
02:17play was never stopped, because he wasn't in danger, he got the mask on, and then made
02:21a save.
02:22There was a little, there was a little chaos.
02:23That was, like, Hasek.
02:25But it was only that little, that one little pocket of the game where I thought he was
02:29completely out on the high wire.
02:31The rest of it, I thought he looked as in control as maybe he's ever looked.
02:35Maybe he's just been working on his game this whole time, which is what you should do,
02:39I guess.
02:39Maybe Columbus can't score.
02:41Maybe, maybe there, maybe there is that.
02:43Sorry, I mean, I'm not trying to take away anything.
02:45I just didn't, I just thought he was not at all what I was fearing he'd be.
02:49As I said yesterday, even in games where I think you'd say he played well, there's these
02:54moments where it's just like, ah, I mean, a sound similar to that, talking about Colton
02:59chaos.
03:00And that was, the one little pocket of the second period, there was that, but I thought
03:05the rest of the game he was really in control, which to me is a very good sign for him
03:10as a
03:11goaltender moving forward, because mostly what I think happens when you are going too
03:15fast and you get out of control is that the game is too fast for you, and you don't see
03:19it in time, so then you're going too hard, and now you're way over here, and you gotta
03:23get back over there, and like, you're just, you're chasing it.
