00:00I started noticing my hair loss really early.
00:07A lot of people find hair superficial.
00:10I often struggle with that, is this vanity?
00:13And I don't think certain aspects of vanity are bad.
00:16I started growing my hair in a time where
00:19I was really figuring out how to embrace my identity
00:22and embrace my blackness.
00:24I love the way it looks,
00:26it's just there's some things that I don't love about it.
00:29And that is the fact that I'm losing it.
00:31I did everything that I kind of like read on articles, forums,
00:37like Jamaican castor oil, peppermint oil.
00:40So I was just like, okay,
00:42so I'm gonna go to a dermatologist.
00:44And he told me that my options were minoxidil,
00:49finasteride, or hair transplant.
00:55It's happening, it's the day of the surgery.
00:58It's really real today.
01:06I feel good.
01:08Do I look good guys?
01:10Ha ha ha ha.
01:11Ha ha ha.
01:12Booth of the pole.
01:16What I want men of color to take away from this film is the reminder that we go through so
01:23many things,
01:24so many similar things,
01:27but we often kind of feel like we're going through them alone until there is someone who speaks about it.
01:34in someone like me.
01:38Thank for persuasive conversation,
