00:50leaving her and i mean she talks about her best friend in episode 15 of season one where
00:59she took her own life and so she kind of has built this world view where people she gets close

01:07either hurt her or leave her and that is very triggering so just even though she doesn't admit
01:16ever that he's her friend of course he is and she does love him like she she cares so much
01:22for him
01:22and and he has i think been a really great person for her to be around and to not always
01:29be alone
01:30because she can so often isolate herself and then hearing that he's gonna leave it's just like oh there
01:35i am i'm being proven right everyone's gonna leave me and it triggers a lot i mean it you see
01:42her
01:42take the scalpel and that compounded with langdon coming back and just feeling overall very disrupted
01:51in her routine and in her day i think it all kind of leads to that you touched on so
01:57many things i
01:58want to get into more but um you mentioned the scalpel um because it is a kind of a split

02:02that we see her do that and we know from the bathroom scene that she has a history of cutting
02:07giving
02:07new meaning to the nickname crash huh i've been trying to get to the bathroom for over an hour
02:12now yeah you and me both sister
02:19by the end of the day what's happening is she going to continue to cut do you think
02:24it hasn't occurred to her that she's stealing from the hospital kind of the way langdon was
02:28doing it's not the same i mean it's well it's funny i mean like right before that scene you see

02:35make the comment about langdon like or until he relapses she's talking about herself like it's
02:44they both suffer from addiction just different forms and that's why she hates him so much as
02:52she sees how similar they are she hates it and that's why he is so triggered by her because he
02:58sees how
02:59something like yeah that's you often hate in other people what you hate about yourself so all of those
03:05things kind of compounding leads to that that panic that we all know when we lean on a vice like
03:13that
03:13when you feel like i just i need this right like i need where can i get it and that
03:18panic that comes in
03:20and i would love to think that she doesn't resort to that but in that moment it feels like that's
03:26the
03:26only thing that will provide relief from this pain that she knows very well that comes up very quickly
03:33but at the end of the day it's like she just needs people she needs connection and that's what she's
03:39trying to do she just does it so poorly and so when she feels like she's losing whitaker that's another
03:45thing of like god where can i get that episode 11 scene with langdon because obviously there's been
03:50so much between those characters and it's a great needy scene i'm just trying to get through my first day
03:54back you shouldn't even be here i should have reported you to the state medical board you should
03:59have lost your license and gone to prison you don't know what i've been through you've been
04:03through my wife friend divorced me okay i almost lost my kid yeah that's what happens when you up she
04:07says that she should have reported him to the board but she didn't and so i'm just really curious why

04:12think she did not report him she's not as evil as people like to make her out to be
04:17you really could have she could have she could have told everyone but she didn't as much as she's
04:24a very imperfect person and can you know sometimes not be the nicest she still knows the difference
04:31between like being a little mean and being like oh this is this is something else as someone who i
04:38think struggles with so much of her own stuff and her own forms of addiction i think there's a still

04:45part of her that's like i wouldn't want someone to do that to me yeah i wouldn't want someone to
04:50tell the world what i'm dealing with and struggling with it's comfortable to be angry at someone and
04:56put your anger in an outside source rather than back at yourself just like she does with self-harm
05:02like it's always like put this anger and sadness somewhere else over the course of the season the
05:08flirtation that she has with garcia seems to fizzle almost in real time as we kind of see santos
05:13realize like it's just casual for for garcia maybe santos wants something more still need a

05:48can talk to and like actually be herself with and i think in her flawed way that was what she
05:53was kind
05:54of trying to turn garcia into but what you're watching in real time is her realizing like i guess
06:01she's not that person yeah because she says she's like i don't want to talk about this anymore like
06:06see a therapist and it is like okay yeah so this is not the right person to be
06:15confiding in it's a very flawed thing to be trying to turn your like casual hookup into
06:22like the person you confide all your things in it's like that's just never gonna work but you can do
06:26that with your friends yeah she's really scared of having friends because that's way more vulnerable
06:31actually to have a friend than to be with someone like it's i think she's kind of separated that in
06:39her mind you know it's it's way more vulnerable to have a friend that could be like you know what
06:44actually that's not for me that's way scarier the internet's obsessed the little scene from last week

07:20very much recovering from appendicitis at that time and they were like so how do you feel about falling
07:27i was like that's crazy sure that was really funny i saw on twitter someone was like did you see

07:34a really hard time standing up she's already self-harmed i'm like no girl i had appendicitis
07:39love that you're reading into it but that's not what is happening isa's just um has open holes in
07:44her stomach that was a moment it was very funny because she like kicked it and she kicked it into
07:50me and then everyone was like are you okay because recovering everyone's like be careful don't touch isa
07:56she's gonna crumble at any second and so she kicked the shredder into me and we were like no it

08:02a fun moment of levity because as much as we need it in the story we also as actors it's
08:08fun for us to
08:09have moments of levity because when you're always doing really depressing scenes it's like you take
08:15that home and nice to laugh for a second and so yeah it's it's a mixture of me and the
08:24character and
08:25all of us shifting gears i thought it was so lovely that you and your father were able to go
08:30to the
08:30actor awards together and talk um a lot of people's family members and partners have appeared on the pit
08:35so far we've seen fiona's dad play her dad we've seen some people play patience when are we getting
08:40one of your talented family members on the pit like hey would you want them to be a patient or
