00:33This resolution would undermine diplomatic efforts to reach a ceasefire
00:38that reflects the realities on the ground and emboldens Hamas.
00:42The United States has taken the very clear position since this conflict began
00:46that Israel has a right to defend itself,
00:50which includes defeating Hamas
00:52and ensuring they are never again in a position to threaten Israel.
