00:02Federal Reserve minutes from the March 17th to 18th meeting showed a growing group of
00:06policymakers saw a case for potential rate hikes if inflation remains above the 2% target,
00:11according to Reuters. Officials cited risks tied to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran,
00:15including higher oil prices and rising inflation expectations. The Fed held rates at 350% to 3.75%
00:22and maintained language leaning toward cuts. Many participants still expected rate cuts as
00:26their baseline outlook, with most saying a prolonged Middle East conflict could weaken
00:30growth enough to justify further cuts. Oil prices fell more than 15% to around $92 a barrel after a
00:36two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. Stocks rose while rate hike expectations remained
00:41negligible. For all things money, visit Benzinga.com.
