01:09Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Tonight Show!

01:15What a show we have for you tonight!
01:17Tracy Morgan is my guest tonight!
01:22Nev Campbell is here!
01:26And we've got music from TWICE!
01:32Now, that is a fun group to be snowed in with.
01:35Yeah, come on.
01:36Let's do it.
01:37Yeah, everyone here is talking about the historic blizzard that just slammed New York City.
01:41It is crazy out there.
01:43The only way I can get to work was by jumping in a German bobsled.
01:48Yep, all day long, people were wondering, how bad will it get and when will it end?
01:52It's the same questions you'll ask tomorrow during President Trump's State of the Union.
01:58When will it end?
02:00Besides the snow, it's just brutally cold.
02:02I mean, people outside are more frozen than Prince Andrew in the back of a police car.
02:06You know, it really...
02:07People are...
02:11Yeah, the extreme snow caused whiteout conditions.
02:14Yeah, right now, the entire Northeast looks like someone turned on a ceiling fan in Miami.
02:18Hey, turn it off!
02:26Today's blizzard canceled school for millions of students on the East Coast,
02:30and it led to a very interesting commercial I saw.
02:32Watch this.
02:33There's nothing more important than your child's safety,
02:35which is why it's best that they stay home from school.
02:38But while you take care of them, make sure you also take care of yourself.
02:41A message from your friends at Jack Daniels.
02:45I get it now.
02:48Take care of yourself.
02:52Take care of yourself first.
02:56Yep, the storm continues to wreak havoc,
02:58and as of now, 60,000 people in the Northeast have lost power,
03:02or as the Supreme Court put it, 60,001.
03:08Wow!
03:10Wow!
03:11Yeah.
03:12Another person...
03:13Who was that?
03:13Was it supposed to be Donald Trump?
03:15Because of the Supreme Court verdict against him?
03:17Yeah, well, the...
03:18Is that the humor?
03:20The Supreme...
03:21The Supreme...
03:21They said...
03:22They said 60,000...
03:23Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:2460,000 people have lost power.
03:25Right.
03:25And the Supreme Court heard that.
03:27And they said...
03:28Tidbit of information and said,
03:29we'd like to add to that.
03:31Right.
03:3160,001.
03:32Right.
03:33Because of the rulings they made on the tariff.
03:36Right.
03:36It was a ruling the other day, yeah,
03:38that they made about the tariff.
03:39Super funny.
03:39If you're following the news...
03:41Yeah.
03:41It's super, yeah, topical.
03:43Topical.
03:43And, uh...
03:45I mean, that story is, what,
03:46two, three days old?
03:48Four days old?
03:48Yeah, it's ripped from today's headlines.
03:51Well, if today was four days ago, yeah.
03:53Yeah, sure.
03:54It's ripped from today's headline.
03:55Right.
03:56If today was four days ago.
03:57Right.
03:57But we weren't on four days ago.
03:59We weren't on.
04:00We've been off for two weeks.
04:01I should be making Super Bowl jokes.
04:03Yeah.
04:07Did you watch the Super Bowl?
04:10Uh...
04:10Gosh, that was so long ago,
04:11I don't remember.
04:12It was around the time when the tariff decision...
04:15Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:17I thought it was good.
04:18Yeah.
04:19Good for the Seahawks.
04:20Yeah.
04:21Charlie Puth.
04:21Yeah.
04:22Charlie Puth was fantastic.
04:23Oh, Charlie Puth is the best.
04:24He was amazing.
04:25Bad Bunny, fantastic.
04:26Oh, that's right.
04:27That was crazy.
04:29Uh, I gambled on this one.
04:33On the halftime show or the Super Bowl?
04:34No, no.
04:36No, I've done a coin flip.
04:38No, I gambled on the, on the, I bet on the game.
04:40Seahawks.
04:41Did you win?
04:41I won, yeah.
04:42How much?
04:44Just about money.
04:45I won about $200.
04:47$200?
04:48But you know what it is?
04:49So my friend did it through DraftKings.
04:51I said, I'll go halves with you.
04:52And I didn't know this because I don't gamble or bet.
04:54But you know, they, if you're winning, they text you and they go,
04:57hey, do you want to call it?
04:59They go, they go, hey, let's just make it even.
05:02And.
05:03Wow.
05:04You know that?
05:04No.
05:05Yeah.
05:05They, they, they go, hey, we're good.
05:07Yeah.
05:08Hey.
05:08Like, I was like, no, we're not good.
05:10I'm going to win.
05:11I want all of the money.
05:12And they go, yeah, I know.
05:14But would you be happy with, say, I don't know, 50 bucks?
05:17I go, no.
05:18I go, my friend was ready to cave.
05:19I go, no way, man.
05:20All in.
05:21Let's do it.
05:22That's crazy.
05:22200 bucks richer.
05:24That's like.
05:26Wait.
05:27That's like, that's like five coffees at Starbucks.
05:30Yeah.
05:30Well, almost.
05:31I'm set for the week.
05:32Almost five.
05:32Yeah.
05:33Yeah.
05:33Yeah.
05:33I'm set for the week.
05:35Well, guys, everybody was talking about the story in Washington
05:37that Trump was shut down by the Supreme Court
05:39after they ruled that he's not allowed to impose
05:42sweeping tariffs on every country.
05:45Yeah.
05:49After the Supreme Court's decision,
05:51Trump said that he would take the case to the Supremer Court.
05:55I'm talking to all the Supremes, Diana Ross.
05:58Diana Ross, get Diana Ross on the phone.
06:04Get me Marty Supreme.
06:08Yep, the U.S. may have to pay back $140 billion.
06:13Trump was like, I'm going to be honest,
06:14it's all tied up in ballrooms right now,
06:16so I don't know.
06:17Well, get this.
06:18Trump said that he's ordering the government
06:20to release classified files on aliens and UFOs.
06:26Unless the aliens spent time with Jeffrey Epstein,
06:28in which case, still classified.
06:29We're not.
06:30Still classified.
06:32Well, tomorrow night is the State of the Union,
06:35and I just saw an interesting commercial for it.
06:37Watch this.
06:38Tomorrow night,
06:39President Trump will address the nation,
06:41and while you watch him speak for 90 minutes,
06:44be sure to reach for Jack Daniels.
06:47Another.
06:48Very interesting campaign they're doing.
06:51Sweeping.
06:52Sweeping campaign.
06:54Well, the Winter Olympics are over,
06:56and one of the big moments was yesterday
06:58when the U.S.A. men's hockey team
07:00beat Canada in overtime
07:01to win the gold medal!
07:08Canadians were so upset,
07:10they started drinking their maple syrup
07:11straight from the bottle.
07:14It's 9 a.m. somewhere, eh?
07:17Yep, the U.S. men and women's hockey teams
07:19just won gold at the Winter Olympics.
07:25Yep, it's pretty incredible.
07:27Check out what some of the players
07:28are saying about it.
07:29First up, men's team captain Austin Matthews said,
07:32This is incredible.
07:33I can't believe we won gold.
07:35Next up, women's team captain Hillary Knight said,
07:37I couldn't be prouder of our team.
07:39We did it.
07:40And finally, yesterday's hero Jack Hughes said,
07:42This is absolutely amazing.
07:44I'm so excited.
07:45U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A.
07:54Yeah, sorry, U.S.A., yeah, no.
07:57He's a hero.
07:58Switching gears, I read that Axe Body Spray
08:01is trying to prevent overuse of their product
08:03with a new mechanism that delivers
08:05a lighter, more controlled application.
08:08Yeah, and if you're wondering
08:09how much Axe Body Spray is too much,
08:11the answer is any much.
08:15You know you have a good product
08:16when you're looking for ways
08:17to make people smell less like it.
08:19You guys see this?
08:20The grandson of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup inventor
08:23has accused Hershey of quietly replacing
08:25the candy's ingredients to save money.
08:28Oh.
08:29Even worse, it's now flavored with Axe Body Spray.
08:32Really?
08:33Wow.
08:35And finally, two men in Michigan
08:37broke a world record by playing pickleball
08:38for 28 hours straight.
08:41Oh.
08:4228 hours of pickleball,
08:44and that evens out to five to seven minutes of tennis.
08:46We have a great show.
08:47Give it up for The Roots, ladies and gentlemen.
08:49Let's go.
08:58Wow.

09:33who stars in the new series
09:35The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.
09:38Man, this show is funny.
09:39The premise is unbelievable.
09:41So Tracy plays this retired NFL player,
09:45and he's gotten...
09:47He's done some bad things.
09:48I think he just gambled and said that.
09:51Yeah, so he hires a documentary crew
09:53to film him like a reality show type of documentary
09:57to try to get him back in the Hall of Fame.
09:59It's ridiculous.
10:00It is so funny.
10:01It's great.

10:18What?
10:1925?
10:20Almost 30 years.
10:2130 years.
10:21Because I knew him before I was on SNL.
10:23Really?
10:24We both auditioned at the same night,
10:26I think, at the comic strip.
10:28I did not get it.
10:30Tracy did get it.
10:31Right.
10:31But I remember going to SNL,
10:33and I brought my dad,
10:35and we went to go see the show,
10:36and then Tracy goes,
10:36what are you guys doing now?
10:38I go, it was after the show.
10:39I go, we're going to a hotel or home.
10:42He goes, come to the after party.
10:44I go, this is amazing.
10:46He goes, all right, I'll meet you there.
10:47He goes, no, come in my limousine.
10:49So he took me and my dad in his limousine.
10:51I wasn't on the show, nothing.
10:52He's just a nice dude.
10:53He's a good dude.
10:54And I've known him for 30 years,
10:55and here we are.
10:56And they've got another show.

11:27Guys, it is time to play the world's simplest game.
11:30I ask one audience member one trivia question,
11:32and if they get it right,
11:33the entire audience goes home with the prize.
11:36It's time to play one answer only.
11:38Here we go.
11:46Hi.

13:01L, Paul Bunyan?
13:04Not the giant lumberjack of Paul Bunyan
13:06that I went to middle school with.
13:08M, a half-heaten bag of pirate's booty.
13:11N, the sound of rain.
13:13Not thunder, but rather that gentle pitter-patter
13:16against the window,
13:17letting you know that for the next few hours,
13:19you have an excuse to cuddle up on the couch
13:21with your favorite book and a nice cup of tea
13:23because Mother Nature feels like crying
13:25for just a little bit.
13:27O, people who say,
13:29don't talk to me before I've had my coffee.
13:32P, a melted snowman.
13:34Oh, sorry, we'll be right back with a brief message.
13:38Hello.
13:39Proper desk posture is incredibly important.
13:42Sit upright, keep your feet flat,
13:44and position your screen at eye level.
13:47You're welcome.
13:50That's so important to remember.
13:52Now, back to the game.
13:55Is a Q...
13:57an itch on your back that's just out of reach
13:59so you do that thing where you rub your back
14:01on the wall to get it?
14:03R, that friend on a text chain that tries way too hard
14:06so you toss them a ha-ha every so often,
14:08even if you don't mean it?
14:10Or is it S, Timothee Chalamet?
14:13Let's put 45 minutes on the clock, but...
14:18If you know the answer, you can answer immediately.
14:21Jimmy, I'll go with S.
14:23Timothee Chalamet.
14:25Judges?
14:27That is correct!
14:28That means everyone...
14:30That means everyone is going home
14:33with a pint of Ben and Jerry's Tonight Dough ice cream.
14:37Stick around.
14:38We're talking to Tracy Morgan when we come back, everybody.
14:41Great job.

16:20Scratch that, this dude named Rodney from our project.
16:22She got medals, but they ain't come from no Olympics.
16:28How many medals?
16:30You have a nice medallion there.
16:31That's beautiful.

16:35Oh.
16:36I keep my kids with me.
16:37That's my babies.
16:38I know you love your family, man.
16:40Last time I saw you, in this hallway at SNL 50th, you were wearing a gold chain and a big
16:47medallion.
16:48Eddie was wearing that!
16:49And then Eddie Murphy did an impression of you on Saturday Night Live.
16:55Talk to me, Tracy.
16:56I won!
16:58Talk to me.
16:59I won!
17:01No, you won, dude.

17:11Eddie Murphy is my OG.
17:14That's my guy.
17:15He's the greatest.
17:15We talk every day.
17:16I love that dude so much.
17:17Yeah, we talk every day.
17:18I love him.
17:18He's kind.
17:19He's so sweet and humble and kind.
17:21We were talking.
17:22We were in the hallway, and we were talking, and you were like, you call me Jim.
17:26Jimbo.
17:27Jimbo.
17:28Since day one.
17:29Yeah, and you said Jimbo.
17:31I can't believe this happened.

17:39A lot of people saw that.
17:40Yeah.
17:40Well, you deserved it.
17:41And it was huge.
17:43Yeah, bud.
17:44And then I saw you posted a photo of you backstage with Cher.
17:48Oh!
17:49Hey, that's what I'm talking about.
17:50That's my fame, too.
17:53The mother of my children.
17:56Mother of my children.
17:57I was there before Sonny.
17:59Wait, really?
18:00I used to sing to her all the time.
18:02I got you, babe.
18:05Before?
18:05That was my song.
18:06Wow.
18:07I got no publishing.
18:08Oh, my God.
18:09I can't believe it.
18:10Wrong.
18:10I can't believe it.
18:11I love you, Cher.
18:14Tell the kids I said goodnight.
18:17Make me sick.
18:19No, I can tell.
18:20She used to get on my nerves.
18:22I used to talk to her stomach when she was pregnant with my daughter.
18:25I used to talk to her stomach all the time.
18:27You did?
18:28That's sweet of you.
18:30What would you say different?
18:31Huh?
18:32What would you say different?
18:33I said, Daddy love you.
18:34Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:35That's cute.
18:35Daddy love you.
18:36That's so cute.
18:37That's amazing.
18:38But I could tell, though, because I was there, this is real.
18:40This is not.
18:41That's my baby girl.
18:42My baby girl!
18:45My baby girl!
18:46Yeah, that's right.
18:47This is not AI, right?
18:49This is real.
18:49No, I don't even know.
18:50I'm scared of AI.
18:51You ain't see the Terminator?
18:54I don't even know how to turn the computer off.
18:56If it start making noise, I'll just pull the plug out.
19:01I'm old school.
19:02I know, I know.
19:04Uh, uh, I know you're a big New York Knicks fan.
19:06What?
19:07Yes.
19:08I love the team.
19:09That's my team.
19:10I know it.
19:11They're doing great.
19:12That's my team.
19:13Last year, I bought them all sneakers.
19:16Kobe, Bruce Lee's.
19:18They're, like, $2,700 a pop.
19:20I bought everybody on the team two pairs.
19:22Wow.
19:23You love the team.
19:23My God, I love them.
19:24They love you, too.
19:25When I lose a draw, I ain't going nowhere.
19:27You brought your co-star of Reggie Dinkins, Daniel Radcliffe,
19:31to a Knick game.
19:33What is it like?
19:36What is it like from a dude from the U.K.
19:38and a street dude from Brooklyn together at the game?
19:41Yeah.
19:41It was crazy.
19:42He was humble at the beginning.
19:43But then towards the end of the game, he started cursing refs out.
19:48What?
19:48I said, Daniel, chill out.
19:50He said, clean that glass eye, ref.
19:52Oh.
19:55Soon they missed a call.
19:56Clean that glass eye.
19:58Glass eye.
19:59Oh, my God.
19:59And I gave him that.
20:00I gave him that to yell out, and he just kept doing it.
20:02He ran with it.
20:03Clean that glass eye.
20:05I said, it's our ball.
20:07Relax.
20:08I was free.
20:08It's halftime.
20:12But I'm a cool dad now.
20:14Yeah.
20:14I got kids.
20:15Yes.
20:15So growing up, they seen all of Harry Potter, the whole series.
20:18Yes.
20:19So it's carpeting yarn.
20:20You got to seize the moment.
20:21It ain't all the time you get to be a cool dad.
20:24No, yeah.
20:25Mom is always cool, but dad, you got to pick and choose your points.
20:28Yeah.
20:28I'm a cool dad now because we work together.
20:30Because now you're out with Harry Potter.
20:32That's right.
20:32Uh, the fall and rise of Reggie Dinkins.
20:36That's what I'm talking about.
20:37Big up to Pete Rose.
20:38He never got in the Hall of Fame.
20:40Got caught gambling.
20:41That's right.
20:41They was mad at him because he used a dugout phone to call his bookie.
20:45Yeah.
20:45He did.
20:46So this is old to him.
20:47Is it?
20:48I got caught gambling.
20:49Yeah.
20:49I got caught gambling.
20:50I'm trying to get into the Hall of Fame now.
20:51That's what Reggie Dinkins is about.
20:52It is funny.
20:53Y'all got to check it out.
20:54And it gets funnier.
20:57Yeah.
20:58So you can't tell how big a mountain is when you standing right up on it.
21:01Because I'm binge watching 30 Rock now.
21:03Because it's so far away.
21:05Yeah.
21:05I'm going, wow, this was a funny show.
21:07And we back in the saddle again.
21:09That's right.
21:09Here you go.
21:10You're back.
21:10You got the same greatest.
21:12And I love you, Tina.
21:13Sammy.
21:14Robert Carlock.
21:15Coca-Cola.
21:16I love you for believing in me.
21:17Tina Fey.
21:18Robert Carlock.
21:19Tina Fey is my sister.
21:21That's my sister.
21:22Yeah.
21:22She loves you and you guys work great together.
21:24Robert Carlock, we've known since SNL days.
21:26Yeah, Coca-Cola.
21:27Is that what you call him?
21:28That's what I call him.
21:29I don't call him Robert Carlock.
21:30I'm not calling him by his government.
21:33I call him Coca-Cola.
21:34I don't know who his enemies are.
21:37You know the government is always on his ass, especially around tax time.
21:42You don't want any fingerprints on that.
21:43Nah, I don't want that.
21:44So, Reggie Dinkins, a football player, got in trouble.
21:49He's not in the Hall of Fame.
21:50So, you hire Daniel Radcliffe and Bobby Moynihan, who I love.
21:53He is so funny, dude.
21:54He's our alumni.
21:55We're his alumni.
21:56That's right.
21:57SNL.
21:58Drunk uncle.
21:59He's crushed in every sketch he's in.
22:00Yep.
22:00He's one of those players that just crush every time I see him.
22:02I love Bobby Moynihan.
22:03Erica Alexander, Precious, Jalen.
22:06We're a family on that show.
22:08What is it?
22:09What's the set like?
22:10Good?
22:11I bring my boombox on stage.
22:13I'm a DJ.
22:14They call me DJ Infidelity.
22:17Basically, it's like a reality show in your life.
22:20Reggie Dinkins' life.
22:21Yeah, talking heads is funny.
22:22It's very funny, though.
22:23Oh, my gosh.
22:24There's a thousand jokes per minute.
22:26It is so funny.
22:27It's fantastic.
22:28I want to show a clip.
22:29Here's Tracy Morgan in the fall and rise of Reggie Dinkins.
22:33We have a bunch of fun.
22:34Yep.
22:34Look at this.
22:36Oh, there is MVP Carmelo Anthony Mason-Dinkins in the house.
22:43It gets real exciting when we win.
22:45And I scored two touchdowns against Blair on Friday.
22:48Whose house?
22:49My house.
22:51And I'm so proud of my son who also lives here every other week because I share custody.
22:58So, you had a game on Friday?
23:00Yep.
23:01You were home all day Friday watching that ridiculous firefighting show.
23:04FDNY Chicago.
23:06And it's great!
23:07In the New York Fire Department, there is a special unit that fights fires in Chicago.
23:11These are their stories.
23:13Hey, I'm walking here in Chicago.
23:18FDNY Chicago.
23:22Tracy Morgan, everyone!
23:25That's right.
23:26More on with Tracy after the break.
23:28Stick around.
23:28Don't change that channel.
23:29Come on back.
23:34You never know.
23:35You never know.
23:36Someone's got to go at some point.
23:37No!
23:38No!
23:39I'm not saying, but we don't know.
23:52Welcome back.
23:53We're hanging out with Tracy Morgan, everybody!
23:55Come on!
23:57Fallen Rise of Reggie Dinkins.
23:59Congratulations on the show.
24:00You know, I was up late night last night.
24:03I was watching TV.
24:04I came across an old episode of that show that we both used to love called the Mm-hmm Talk
24:09Show.
24:09Mm-hmm.
24:10Do you remember that?
24:11Yeah.
24:11Oh, yeah.
24:12The Mm-hmm Talk Show.
24:13With Rich Tucker.
24:15That's right.
24:16I remember that.
24:17Such a classic.
24:18Yeah.
24:18The host barely said any words.
24:21Just mm-hmm.
24:23Yeah.
24:24It was the best.
24:25Well, I actually thought it'd be fun.
24:26I brought in a clip from the show to refresh your memory.
24:29Yeah.
24:29Let's take a look.
24:38Welcome back to the Mm-hmm.
24:40I'm talking with this guy.
24:42Who are you and why are you here?
24:45Well, my name is Mark Hamlin and I'm hosting a local bake-off this weekend.
24:50Mm-hmm.
24:53So, yeah, I'm hosting a baking competition down at Bullard High School to support the local ROTC.
25:01Mm-hmm.
25:04We have 14 bakers competing.
25:08Mm-hmm.
25:11And they have two hours to create something delicious with the secret ingredient, which is jelly.
25:19Mm-hmm.
25:22Mm-hmm.
25:24Do you bake?
25:26Mm-hmm.
25:26Mm-hmm.
25:28Mm-hmm.
25:30Mm-hmm.
25:33Mm-hmm.
25:35Mm-hmm.
25:37Mm-hmm.
25:41Mm-hmm.
25:44Mm-hmm.
25:46Mm-hmm.
25:47Mm-hmm.
25:49Mm-hmm.
25:50Mm-hmm.
25:52Mm-hmm.
25:53Mm-hmm.
25:55Mm-hmm.
25:55Mm-hmm.
25:55Mm-hmm.
26:38He-haw!
26:40He-haw.
26:42He-ographer
26:43Mmm-uh-Oh.
26:43Holy spier, he-huh-he-haw, he-huh.
26:46Hie-haw.
26:47He-haw, hee-haw, he-haw, hee-haw, hee-haw, hee-haw, hee-haw.
26:51Oh, hee-haw, hee-haw, hee-haw.
26:52Thank you
26:52for watching the young talk show.
26:55Stay tuned for the Electro House Hour with DJ Forsnolkin.
27:02Oh, wow.
27:05They don't make them like they used to those shows.
27:07No, they don't.
27:08Tracy Morgan, everybody.
27:09New episodes of The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins
27:13airs Mondays at 8.30 on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
27:19Ned Campbell joins us after the break.
27:21Stick around, everybody.
27:44Our next guest is a talented actor
27:47and one of the original Scream Queens.
27:49She now stars in Scream 7,
27:51which is in theaters and IMAX this Friday.
27:54Please welcome Nev Campbell.
28:03Scream.
28:04There you go.
28:05Come on now.
28:06Look at that.
28:10That's what I'm talking about.
28:12That's right.
28:13A little more for Nev Campbell.
28:16Come on.
28:17Nice to see you.
28:19How nice is that?
28:19Thanks for, yeah.
28:20Have you ever done stuff in front of a live audience?
28:23I've done a little.
28:24Oh, yeah, some theater, yeah?
28:25Yeah.
28:25I know you did Saturday Night Live years ago.
28:28I did, yeah.
28:29In fact, Tracy Morgan was just out here.
28:31I know.
28:31You did, he was on the cast when you hosted.
28:33Yeah.
28:34There's you.
28:34He's amazing.
28:35Tracy's back there.
28:37Behind David Bowie and David Spade.
28:39Oh, my gosh.
28:41What was that like that night?
28:42Were you nervous?
28:43Terrifying.
28:44Really?
28:44I mean, the scariest thing I think I've ever done.
28:47Really?
28:47Well, I was young.
28:48Oh, yeah.
28:49And it's a big responsibility.
28:50Yeah.
28:51You know, I wasn't known for comedy either.
28:53No.
28:53So, you know, I was a little intimidated.
28:55But after air, after the whole thing, did you want to do it again?
28:58Were you like, yeah, I'm hooked?
28:59Uh...
29:00You were like, uh, I did it.
29:02Let's go.
29:02I honestly felt like in that moment, it was the first time I think I was able to, like,
29:06think.
29:07Understand.
29:07I think I just blacked out for the whole thing.
29:10Did anyone give you any good advice or anything?
29:12Lauren did.
29:12He was actually really sweet because he knew how scared I was.
29:15And he said something really lovely.
29:17He said, you know what people love about this show is the mistakes.
29:20So if you...
29:21Oh, really?
29:21I was like, oh, good.
29:22You've got a lot of confidence in me.
29:23Yeah, you go, yeah.
29:24Well, get ready for a lot of mistakes.
29:25Yeah.
29:26Uh, yeah.
29:26No, it was sweet.
29:27And that is what people love about the show.
29:29Yeah.
29:29Knowing that it's live and anything can happen.
29:31And when you guys crack up and all of that.
29:33Performing without Annette.
29:34Yeah, yeah.
29:35Yeah.
29:35Well, now I want to mention you're starring in season four of The Lincoln Lawyer, by the
29:38way.
29:38Oh, yeah.
29:38Which is fantastic.
29:41If you haven't seen it, watch it right now.
29:43It was number one on Netflix.
29:44It's the biggest thing ever.
29:46But this season's all about you, bud.
29:47I do a lot this season.
29:49Yeah, yeah, yeah.
29:49She's good.
29:50Yeah, Maggie.
29:51She's a great character.
29:52And I know that audiences really want to vie for Mickey and Maggie to get together and stuff.
29:56But I haven't...
29:57You know, she's a really good lawyer, but I haven't really been able to show that.
29:59And in this one, she gets very involved in defending Mickey.
30:03Yes.
30:03Yeah.
30:04Good.
30:04She's in trouble.
30:05Okay.
30:06All right.
30:06We're going to find out about that.
30:07I want to talk about Scream 7.
30:09The original Scream came out 30 years ago.
30:12Crazy.
30:12Is that crazy?
30:13Isn't that crazy?
30:13Is it fun to look back and see how much has changed?
30:17How old I am?
30:18No, no.
30:19No, no.
30:19I mean, just with the movies and all that stuff.
30:22Yeah, it's nuts.
30:23It's nuts.
30:23I mean, it's so odd to even consider a sequel of a film, but to consider a franchise.
30:29I mean, there aren't actually that many franchises.
30:31No.
30:31So to think that you actually get to be a part of one and play a character for 30 years
30:35is
30:35just...
30:36Like, I'm so grateful.
30:37So fun.
30:37When you did this, I mean, like, look at this cast.
30:39I know.
30:40It's you and Drew Barrymore, David Arquette, Courtney Cox, Skeet Ulrich.
30:45Yeah.
30:45And at that time, you know, Drew was famous and Courtney was getting there.
30:49But the rest of us...
30:50Was Courtney on Friends?
30:52She was on Friends, but first year.
30:54And it was first year of Party of Five.
30:56First year of Party of Five.
30:57Yeah, yeah.
30:58Wow.
30:58Yeah.
30:58So you're just all...
30:59So Drew is the only one that's kind of like the season's better.
31:02And all the rest of us were like, maybe this will do something, maybe not.
31:05But we think we're doing something good.
31:07Yeah.
31:08Yeah.
31:08Well, the horror movies have been getting a lot of attention recently.
31:12You know, Sinners is up for an Oscar.
31:13Yeah, incredible.
31:14Weapons.
31:15And you were...
31:16People say you were the original final girl.
31:18No.
31:19Which is like, you know...
31:20Do you ever think you and Courtney are everything like, all right, this is it.
31:23This is now...
31:24One of us...
31:25One of us is going to be knocked off.
31:26Maybe one of us is going to go.
31:27Well, you never know.
31:28And I mean, I can't speak to that because you don't know what happens in this one, right?
31:31No.
31:31You're right.
31:32You never know.
31:33You never know.
31:34Someone's got to go at some point.
31:36No!
31:36No!
31:37I'm not saying, but we don't know.
31:39You don't know.
31:40Yeah.
31:40Do you actually know, though, when you're doing the movie?
31:42Do you know?
31:43I do.
31:44You actually do?
31:44Yeah.
31:45Well, because I'm often carrying it.
31:47Yeah.
31:49Whereas, you know, there's cast in it who don't know who the killer is.
31:53And sometimes...
31:54There were even times, I think it was on two or three, that the actors who were playing
31:58the killers didn't find out until later in the shooting as well.
32:01Oh, really?
32:02Yeah.
32:02So you're...
32:03I don't know.
32:03They try to be really secretive about these movies because people get so excited.
32:06Has it changed throughout the years?
32:08Like the first year you did it was like...
32:10The first year we did it, well, that one they weren't too concerned about, but when it hit
32:15and got so big, the second one, they started putting these big red lines through all the
32:19scripts so no one could, you know, fax it.
32:21Or, do you remember Fax Machine?
32:24Fax it, that's so funny.
32:25Yes.
32:26I know.
32:26I do remember.
32:27Yeah, of course.
32:27I love Fax Machine.
32:28Yeah, yeah.
32:29And then the third, they started putting out fake scenes out on the internet to make sure
32:34that no one knew who the killer was going to be.
32:37These are a whodunit, you know, they're classic whodunit.
32:39You don't want to know whodunit.
32:40No, you don't want to know whodunit, but you know kind of whodunit, yeah.
32:45In the film, A Scream is basically a love letter to horror, the genre.
32:51And in the film, you actually learn about the three rules to surviving a horror movie.
32:55Yes.
32:56Do you remember any of these rules?
32:57Jamie Kennedy.
32:58Jamie Kennedy was great.
32:59So good.
33:00Yes, it was classic.
33:02We had such good actors in these movies.
33:04You really did.
33:04Matt and Skeet and Jamie and David, the way they carried the humor and just great.
33:09But yeah, so Randy talks about the rules and one of them is don't, don't have sex.
33:15That's correct.
33:15Yeah.
33:16That's usually when you get murdered.
33:17Yeah, don't, don't drink or do drugs.
33:20Yeah, that's another one that happens.
33:22And never say I'll be right back.
33:25Yeah, that is correct.
33:27Anything else you would like to add to that now that you've done?
33:29Well, I think nowadays for me, it's like just know where the knives are in the house.
33:33Smart.
33:34Maybe, maybe take your chip out of your phone if you don't want people to find you.
33:38That's a good one, right?
33:39That's a great one, actually.
33:39And I think the one you always got to do is run out the door and not up the stairs.
33:43Which seems really obvious, but it's amazing how many of us are still running up the stairs.
33:47Still running up the stairs, yeah.
33:49Isn't it amazing how the phones have changed?
33:51Well, that's what I love about these movies.
33:52Because at the beginning, we had the big white one.
33:55And then they get slightly smaller.
33:56So now it's like...
34:00They're in the house.
34:01Yeah, I can hear them.
34:02How do we set up what's going on with Scream 7?
34:06Well, I can't say too much.
34:07But what I can say is fun about this is a wonderful actress named Isabel May plays my teen daughter
34:12in it.
34:13And we got to see that Sydney in 5 was a mother, but they were young.
34:17And in this one, you know, it's very brave of Sydney to decide to be a mom and have kids
34:24considering what happens to most of the people she loves.
34:27Correct.
