Lucy sells romance for a living. In New York, she works as a top matchmaker at the exclusive agency Adore, where love is apparently ranked by how much money is in your account. Her clients get the real luxury. She gets the small apartment, two roommates, and a paycheck that does not match her reputation for “finding the one.” Then her professional world starts leaking into her personal life. She’s caught between her (supposedly) ex, John, and a client who should be easy in theory but turns out to be a headache, Harry, with his $12 million apartment. So yes, it turns into a love triangle, but with the extra layer of spreadsheets and power games. It’s funny in a dry way. Mostly because everyone is acting like feelings are negotiable.

Lucy ist New Yorks Top-Heiratsvermittlerin. Klingt romantisch, ist aber erstmal Mathe. Bei ihrer Agentur Adore zählt vor allem das Kontoguthaben. Die Millionärsklienten leben in Luxus, ihr eigenes Leben ist eher WG-Feeling mit zwei Mitbewohnern und knapper Kasse. Kein Wunder, dass die „große Liebe“ ausgerechnet dann kompliziert wird, als sie gleichzeitig zwischen Kundschaft und Vergangenheit steht: Ex-Freund John taucht auf, und ausgerechnet Harry, einer dieser ultra-vertrauenswürdigen Millionäre mit zwölf Millionen Dollar Apartment, wird zum Problem. Liebe, Karriere, Selbstwert. Und alles sitzt Lucy im selben Zeitraum auf dem Nacken, während sie versucht, die perfekte Paarung zu liefern. Spoiler: Perfekt ist hier eher ein Marketing-Wort.
